Chapter 6: The Primordial Purple Qi Formed by the Golden Finger – A Gift for Emperor Jun and Taiyi
Hongyun was not a disciple of Hongjun, so those coveting his Primordial Purple Qi had no reservations about targeting him.
“Daoist Brother, please don’t worry. I was planning to leave Wuzhuang Temple to travel for some enlightenment,” Hongyun said casually, showing little concern. He even expressed his intention to venture outside, much to Zhen Yuanzi’s dismay.
Zhen Yuanzi’s expression darkened. He urgently advised Hongyun to stay within the safety of Wuzhuang Temple and focus on refining the Primordial Purple Qi. However, as a Great Luo Dao Ancestor, Hongyun’s will was unshakable, even by someone as esteemed as Zhen Yuanzi.
Sighing, Zhen Yuanzi resigned himself to quietly keeping watch over Hongyun.

As the era of saints began to reshape the Primordial Chaos, turmoil brewed. Waves of upheaval swept across the realm, shocking countless mighty beings. The influence of the saints even extended beyond the Primordial Chaos, drawing the attention of terrifying entities from the myriad worlds.
These observers ranged from Innate Taiyi Golden Immortals to Great Luo Dao Ancestors, and even entities in the Boundless Primordial Realm. Some approached the edges of the Primordial Chaos, seemingly awaiting an opportunity to act.@@novelbin@@

Within the Heavenly Court, atop the Fusang Tree, Xia Tian withdrew his gaze, his heart trembling in awe. The presence of the saints was utterly incomprehensible to him, surpassing all reason and logic.
“Will I ever have a chance to attain sainthood in my lifetime?” Xia Tian murmured, though he quickly recognised the improbability of such a feat. To achieve even the Great Luo realm would be an extraordinary stroke of fortune for him.
Suddenly, a vibration emanated from the Gate of Chaos within his mind. A flood of information streamed through, leaving Xia Tian stunned and ecstatic.
Eagerly, he closed his eyes, projecting his consciousness into his Upper Dantian—the Purple Mansion of his spiritual core.
[Upper Dantian (上丹田, Shàng Dān Tián): The spiritual core located in the forehead, often associated with advanced meditative and spiritual practices in Daoist traditions.]
Within his mental world, a grand and boundless realm unfolded. At its centre burned the infinite flames of the Great Dao. Seated amidst this splendour was a palm-sized golden figure, its features identical to Xia Tian’s.
This was his Primordial Spirit, formed the moment he entered the Primordial Chaos as a member of the Golden Crow Clan. This spirit, imbued with an aura of eternal vitality, granted Xia Tian immense power—enough to obliterate entire star systems with ease.
[Primordial Spirit (元神, Yuán Shén): A manifestation of the soul formed during high-level cultivation, representing the essence of a being’s consciousness and power.]
The figure extended its hand, summoning the Gate of Chaos from the depths of his mind. The colossal, chaotic-coloured portal materialised in the centre of his spiritual realm.
The gate trembled, and from its centre poured a stream of purple radiance, condensing into a beam that rested in Xia Tian’s hand.
It was Primordial Purple Qi, formed by the Gate of Chaos. According to the information provided by the gate, this was a high-configuration version of the Primordial Purple Qi, created after the gate absorbed certain energies upon entering the Primordial Chaos.
This Purple Qi was of unparalleled value, surpassing even the rarest innate treasures of the Primordial Chaos. While innate treasures could not confer sainthood, Primordial Purple Qi could. Even Taiyi, with his mighty Chaos Bell, would gladly trade it for the chance to ascend.

Xia Tian marvelled at the purple radiance in his hand. Within it, he perceived the essence of countless worlds forming and dissolving—a boundless and awe-inspiring energy. The temptation to merge with the Purple Qi and attain a godlike realm tugged at his heart.
Yet, after a moment’s hesitation, Xia Tian decided against it.
At his current strength, merging with the Purple Qi would only elevate him to the Great Luo Realm at best. The potential for sainthood was far beyond his grasp. Even Hongyun, who possessed a strand of Primordial Purple Qi, had yet to achieve sainthood.
Xia Tian resolved to offer the Purple Qi to his father, Emperor Jun, and his uncle, Taiyi. Their vast power and influence made them far better suited to utilise the Purple Qi to its full potential. If either of them could ascend, it would solidify the Heavenly Court’s position and provide a counterbalance to the six saints.
The saints’ will was nearly synonymous with the will of the heavens, leaving the demon clan vulnerable to their influence. Only a saint could truly contend with another saint.
What do you think?
