Chen Ling froze on the spot for a few seconds before it dawned on her. She had thought that after Shen Yuan made a fortune, he would at least change the way he spoke and acted to some degree, but he remained just as fierce.
Back in their school days, Shen Yuan had always carried a bit of a wild, hooligan vibe about him. He was easy to talk to on a day-to-day basis, but when faced with unfair treatment, he never cowered.
Fang Minhui wasn’t surprised by Shen Yuan’s cursing; it wasn’t what she was focused on. Her heart felt as warm as if she had drunk ginger tea in winter, and the words “dare to bully my girlfriend” had struck right at her core.
In any case, with Shen Yuan around, Fang Minhui always felt a sense of security, unruffled no matter what happened.
The people from the advertising company looked terrible. In this civilized society, everyone was expected to interact courteously. Where did this come from—cursing right from the get-go?
Couldn’t they talk things out nicely? Wasn’t this just hooliganism?
They had forgotten that they were the ones who had acted like hooligans first, but now faced with someone harsh enough to curse without batting an eye, they knew they couldn’t afford to offend him.
So they called their boss to confirm the situation, and afterward they took the sign back to remake it.
Often, being nice and courteous only invited others to take further liberties. Those who overstepped their bounds tended to back off in the face of someone aggressive and unruly.
Simply put, they bullied the soft and feared the tough.
After the advertising company’s personnel left, Chen Ling couldn’t help but say, “Minhui, your boyfriend is really something. We couldn’t get through to them with ten sentences, while he did it with just one.”
Hearing her best friend’s praise, Fang Minhui actually felt delighted, but she responded with feigned arrogance, “Oh? He’s just so-so, there’s still room for improvement.”
“Just so-so?”
Fang Minhui nodded, “Yeah, his cursing skills are mediocre, his looks are average, his physique is average too, the whole person is just… average… ow! Lingling, why are you pinching me?”
“To teach you not to show off like that. Will you do it again in the future?”
“Ah, it’s so ticklish! I won’t show off anymore, I promise.”
…
Meanwhile, at Villa No. 19 on Nanzhu Road, Shen Yuan was having breakfast with the four beauties.
Considering the amount of energy Shen Yuan had expended last night, Ji Ya prepared a man-friendly breakfast including black soy milk, Goji berry and pig kidney porridge, steamed yams, and black sesame paste.
Qiao Lei, though, sported a frown, as there wasn’t a single thing on the table she liked. She felt sullen, thinking, do only men need tonics to rejuvenate their yang energy? Don’t women need nourishing yin as well?
“Why aren’t you eating?”
Shen Yuan saw that everyone else was eating with gusto, with only Qiao Lei not touching her food.
Qiao Lei shook her head, “Not feeling hungry.”
Ji Ya asked, “Is it that you don’t like these foods? Should I make you a bowl of rice noodles?”
Qiao Lei’s eyes lit up, “Sure, that would be great. Thanks, Sister Ji Ya.”
Shen Yuan glanced at her, “What’s wrong with black soy milk? It can enhance the bust.”
Qiao Lei smiled slightly, “Thanks, but I’m already quite big. Don’t need any more enhancement.”
“Heh.”
Shen Yuan let out a cold chuckle.
“What are you laughing at?”
“Nothing.”
“Heh.”
Liew Menglu suddenly let out a dry chuckle as well.
Qiao Lei turned and asked, “What’s up with you now? Why are you laughing?”
Liew Menglu waved her hand dismissively, “Oh, nothing, nothing at all.”
Qiao Lei put her hands on her hips defiantly, “I know what you’re laughing at, but for your information, I am definitely not smaller than you! What are you so smug about?”
Liew Menglu smiled, “I’m not being smug, but yours really are a little smaller than mine. I still need to keep mine firm and rounded. Why do you think you can neglect yours?”
“Mine are bigger than yours? You must be joking; mine are obviously larger!”
“Little sister Qiao Lei, aren’t you a bit overconfident? We all bared our truths last night, didn’t you see the size of mine?”
Liew Menglu pushed out her chest a bit.
Qiao Lei pushed back with equal defiance, “I can only laugh at that. Didn’t you see MY SIZE?”
Women too have their competitive desires, especially a girl like Qiao Lei, and Liew Menglu wasn’t one to take bullying lying down. Challenged on her voluptuousness, she was bound to retaliate.
“Alright, enough. Even at breakfast, you find something to squabble about. Aren’t you tired of it?”@@novelbin@@
Shen Yuan said with furrowed brows. This was the trouble with having too many women around, always arguing over things that don’t matter.
I like touching all of your breasts. What does it matter if someone’s a little bigger or smaller?
At his remarks, both women “hmphed” in unison, turning their heads away from one another.
Then, clearing his throat, Shen Yuan added, “And anyway, who’s bigger and who’s smaller isn’t up to you to decide—I’m the one who has the final say. How about this, come closer, take off your tops, and let my hands be the judge. We’ll settle this fairly and justly.”
Liew Menglu and Qiao Lei snapped back in sync, “Pervert!”
Just a moment earlier neither would give in, but as soon as Shen Yuan tried to take advantage, their barrels turned outward in perfect unison.
Long Jinghan, seeing Shen Yuan get rebuffed, covered her mouth to stifle her laughter. If she hadn’t just drunk some soy milk, she might have spat it out.
Shen Yuan frowned, “If you want to laugh, then laugh. No need to hold it back.”
…
After breakfast, Liew Menglu took Qiao Lei and Long Jinghan back with her.
Even though they often quibbled over trivial matters, after so many joint battles they had come to rely on each other. Otherwise, Qiao Lei and Long Jinghan wouldn’t have thought about renting apartments in the same complex as Liew Menglu’s new place.
They treated Shen Yuan as a BOSS that couldn’t be conquered alone; they had to team up to defeat the BOSS.
But this BOSS was peculiar; he couldn’t be taken down by a group attack, only one-on-one assaults.
Whenever someone couldn’t hold their ground and retreated, it was time for someone else to step forward and attack.
What do you think?
