Chapter 596: Chapter 407 Blood Queen Angela_2

A moment later, a taunting smile crept onto Molin’s face:

“Since you’re so strong, why don’t you come over and deal with Valentine and me right now?”

“Spill it, where does the power you’re using come from, that Angela?”

Molin was certain that the sudden surge of strength in Augustus was not his own but derived from some other powerful being, a temporary burst technique used as a last resort.

The Blood Queen, she really dared to say it!

However, if the strength that Augustus held truly came from that Angela, her power might not be much weaker than Lord Andrei’s.

At least, Lord Andrei hadn’t given her such a trump card.

“Haha, it’s just that, using the power of Lord Angela to deal with you two indeed seems wasteful.”

“However, since you are courting death…”

Augustus stated arrogantly, full of self-assurance.

Caught off guard by his demeanor, Molin was somewhat unprepared.

Does this kid have any other tricks up his sleeve?

Should she pull Valentine out now? Otherwise, facing this kid by herself really seemed insufficient.

While Molin was hesitating, she saw Augustus suddenly dash towards her.

Startled, Molin quickly prepared to fend off the impending attack.

But the expected assault never came; instead, Augustus’s figure flashed past Molin’s side, running off into the distance.

This kid is trying to escape!

Molin then realized, her smile vanishing, her expression somewhat enraged.

With a flash, she pulled Valentine from the rubble, slapping him across the face, waking the still dazed Valentine.

“What are you doing!”

“Don’t just stand there, chase after him! Do you really want to let this kid go and be punished by Lord Andrei?”

Upon hearing this, Valentine also snapped back to reality.

Thinking of the family head, Lord Andrei’s horrifyingly bloody methods of punishing his underlings, even the murderous Valentine could not help but feel a chill.

Setting aside his anger at Molin’s offense, Valentine quickly gave chase.

Lis watched the three figures chasing into the distance and decided to follow after some thought.

They weren’t far from the Royal Capital, Acot City of the Bolin Kingdom, and it seemed that Augustus was heading in the direction of the Royal Capital.

From the words of Augustus, it appeared that he became a vampire first before being transformed by Angela.

But…the Blood Queen?

What on earth?

Lis, imagining Angela’s soft and adorable demeanor, couldn’t associate her with the image of a queen.

Was it mere boast from that kid?

But from his manner, it seemed he truly held Angela in high adoration.

Lis shook his head, deciding to quickly resolve the matter at hand.

Then he’d send Cecil to Acot City to find that Elf Elder; he wondered if there was still time to meet Angela.

And after so long, had she changed at all?

Lis flashed, secretly making his way towards the direction of the three pursued figures.

All three were of Silver Level strength, which naturally wasn’t much in Lis’s eyes; soon, they were back within his sight.

The blood-red aura swirling around Augustus had already faded substantially, suggesting the power within him was nearly exhausted.

As Augustus’s strength and speed dwindled, Valentine and Molin, seeing the situation, couldn’t possibly be unaware of what was happening and promptly closed in to engage Augustus.

“Damn it!”

Realizing he was caught by the two vampires and could no longer flee, Augustus had to turn around and continue the fight.

However, this time, even though he persisted in using the same desperate attacks as before, Valentine and Molin, who had learned their lesson, did not give him any chances and fought relentlessly despite their injuries.

Valentine grappled with Augustus, while Molin used Blood Magic from a distance to control him.

Augustus felt an ever-increasing pressure on his body, and his injuries were worsening. Even with his excellent healing abilities, he could not turn the tide.

Heaving a sigh internally, Augustus grew somewhat desperate.

It once happened that when Andrei ambushed him and secretly turned him into Bloodline to control his family through him.

Perhaps too confident in an upper vampire’s suppression over Bloodline, Andrei had not severely restricted Augustus’s actions.

After all, he still wanted to control his family, the Marquis of the Bolin Kingdom, through Augustus and could not always keep him out of public view.

It was during one such outing that Augustus encountered that girl clad in white, allowing him to break free from his vampire identity.

Although no longer human, compared to a life in the darkness as a vampire, Augustus preferred the Bloodline identity.

With no vampiric bloodlust and freed from the control of the vampire Andrei, he was more like an ordinary human.

Everything was going well until he was discovered by Andrei’s underlings.

After hurriedly killing some Blood Slaves and realizing he had definitely been exposed, Augustus had no choice but to flee, thinking of heading to Acot City to find Angela.

If his family found out he was no longer human, they would never offer him protection again.

His only hope then was Angela.

If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have stayed on his family’s territory, hoping for the best; he should have followed Lord Angela to Acot City sooner.

Was he going to die here today?

This thought suddenly flashed through Augustus’s mind, preferring death to facing the detestable and despicable Andrei again.
