Chapter 80 - Nothing has changed
The tattoo on Choi Young-Hee's body even helpfully specified a location. That place was all too familiar to me.
It was where, back in high school, I first met Lee Hee-Jin.@@novelbin@@
In this mountain, Lee Hee-Jin was transported to a mysterious realm through a gate that appeared out of thin air. Having witnessed this, I followed her in. Inside that realm, I encountered her.
In other words, this is the place where I first met that woman.
For her to insist on meeting here... It’s nothing but a provocation aimed at me.
No one was there when I arrived at the spot where the gate had once appeared. She had asked me to meet her but didn’t even show her face. What was this supposed to be?
I was lost in those thoughts when suddenly—
"Finally. We meet again."
A woman’s voice came from behind.
It was so alluring, so captivating, that it bewitched anyone who heard it. Without even realizing it, I found myself wanting to hear it more.
I turned my head toward the direction of the voice.
"What do people usually say in situations like this? Hmm... 'It’s been a while, good to see you'?"
Standing there was a stunningly beautiful girl in an ornate, gothic dress, entirely out of place in modern fashion. She looked no older than a high school student.
She had pink hair and wore a gothic-style outfit.
This was the woman I had so desperately wanted to meet—and whom I wanted, just as desperately, to kill.
"Shin Hye-Rim. You haven’t changed a bit since the last time we met. Actually... no, you’ve become a little less cute."
The pink-haired girl, Silfin, smirked bitterly.
"Five years ago, you were just some clueless girl trying to take me on. But now, you’ve grown strong enough to be a real threat. Honestly, I didn’t expect that."
"Enough of this. Why did you show up now, after all this time?"
Though I had countless things I wanted to ask and even more I wanted to do, this was the most pressing question.
I had, after all, been tracking Silfin’s movements personally. Yet, not once had I managed to encounter her again. Every time I thought I was close, she slipped away.
"The reason I came to see you? That’s simple. I have a proposal for you."
"A... proposal?"
What kind of proposal could she possibly mean? It wasn’t as though we had any sort of relationship where such a thing would make sense.
As I puzzled over her words, Silfin said something utterly unbelievable.
"How about becoming mine?"
"...What?"
"Join me. No, more precisely, become my possession."
"And you think I’m going to listen to something like that?"
"Of course not."
Silfin laughed playfully.
Ugh, I’d love nothing more than to land a punch right on that smug face. Not that I wasn’t already planning to.
To be her possession? I didn’t know what she was trying to say or what she wanted to achieve.
But I didn’t care. Either way, this woman would die by my hand.
Before dealing with her properly, there was one more thing I was curious about.
"Recently, you’ve been stirring up trouble with people who hate me. Why?"
"Oh, that? Just a little greeting, you could say. If I appeared before you suddenly, without any warning, wouldn’t you be shocked? I thought I’d give you some time to adjust."
A greeting, she says. I glared at her with narrowed eyes.
"I was being considerate, in my own way. I even went out of my way to pick people you wouldn’t feel guilty about beating up, you know? Cute ones."
"Cute ones." She had called me that when we first met too. By “cute,” what she really meant was:
A prideful, arrogant child who doesn’t know her place.
"If I hurt innocent people, it’d make you hate me more, wouldn’t it? That’s why I only targeted those kinds of individuals. Aren’t I thoughtful?"
Silfin smiled coyly, the corners of her eyes curving upward.
It was as if she was waiting for me to praise her.
I had been holding back for a while, but I couldn’t anymore. My patience had run out.
She knew exactly how I felt about her, and yet she had come to taunt me. There was only one thing left for me to do.
—Swish.
Before I knew it, a sword had appeared in my hand. My personal magical weapon—a sword tailored for me as a magical girl.
The fact that I had drawn this sword meant only one thing.
I was going to kill her with everything I had.
"My, my. Is that a new weapon? I didn’t see it last time."
"Die."
I swung the sword without hesitation. Though the blade didn’t physically touch Silfin, it still had an effect.
"Ugh?!"
Her shoulder split open. But instead of blood spilling out or her arm being severed, something else happened.
The torn flesh shimmered, and luminous butterflies emerged, repairing her body as though nothing had happened.
"Hmm. You’ve definitely become more of a nuisance than I anticipated."
A faint crack appeared in Silfin’s composed expression. Noticing this, I didn’t let up and continued attacking relentlessly.
Even if I couldn’t wound her, it didn’t matter. This alone would eventually wear her down.
As I continued swinging my sword, Silfin’s body suddenly vanished. In the blink of an eye, she appeared behind me.
But even her teleportation didn’t matter.
"Oh?"
Her attempt to attack me from behind was stopped. Her body froze in place, encased in radiant white mana that restrained her movements.
"You’ve been using that strange black mana, haven’t you?"
The dark, blood-red aura wielded by Oh Min-Ji and Choi Young-Hee—that was her power, the black mana she commanded.
"Back then, I couldn’t even touch you because of that power. But not anymore."
—Grab!
I grabbed her by the collar of her dress, pulling her face close to mine. Silfin grimaced, her expression twisting.
"Through my own research, I figured it out. Your mana can be neutralized with my own."
"...So you’ve finally realized that, have you?"
Raising my clenched fist, I focused all my strength.
If it were anyone else, even another awakened being, this punch would be fatal.
Praying that Silfin’s head would explode from the blow, I threw my punch with all my might.
"But."
Just before my fist could connect with her face, Silfin smiled wickedly.
"That doesn’t mean you can beat me."
"Ugh?!"
Before I could process what was happening, a sharp pain flared in my abdomen. It wasn’t just pain—it felt like my entire body was burning.
Looking down, I saw the tattoo on my stomach glowing with a pink hue.
"Did you forget? The mark I engraved on you back then."
The crimson-black mana flowing from Silfin’s body weakened my own mana.
Breaking free from the restraints, she extended her hand toward my abdomen.
"You can never escape from me."
"Hnnngh...!"
Every time Silfin's long, slender fingers brushed against my stomach, an indescribable shiver coursed through me.
The sensation spread from my spine to my entire body—a strange feeling that made even the strength to resist melt away.
"You were already mine back then," she whispered.
Before I realized it, Silfin had climbed atop me.
I lay sprawled on the grass, and she was pinning me down. Holding both of my wrists with one hand and lifting them above my head, she used her other hand to gently stroke my cheek.
"Hye-Rim, I want you."
"Urgh...!"
"Only you can make me complete. It has to be you."
Slowly, Silfin leaned down, her face inching closer to mine.
"Your pure and immaculate mana... A magical girl with mana like yours has never existed before and never will again."
She inhaled deeply, bringing her face close to my neck, as if savoring my scent.
The act sent chills down my spine, and I struggled against her hold, but it was no use.
The advantage was entirely hers.
Again. It was happening again. The same humiliation as before. I had vowed never to lose to her again, and yet...
Once more, I found myself helpless before her.
"You piece of sh-"
"Don't sully that pretty mouth of yours with foul words. Hoo."
"Ah?!"
Her lips brushed against my ear, her warm breath sending waves of sensations through my body. Even such a light touch from her made me writhe involuntarily.
Watching me squirm with a delighted gaze, Silfin bit my earlobe gently.
"I was considerate earlier, framing my request as a suggestion. But now, that's over."
Her hand began to trail downward—
From my chest to my stomach, and lower still.
Her hand rested on my thigh, her pink, glowing eyes locking onto mine.
"It's an order. Become mine."
"Go to hell—mmpf?!"
Warm, soft lips pressed against mine.
I couldn’t shout, couldn’t even scream. My voice was swallowed entirely.
Instead, something invaded my mouth—soft and slick, slowly exploring and overwhelming me.
Her hand slipped further, into the inner part of my thigh.
I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing myself as though the scene from before would replay itself entirely.
But then—
"Ms. Hye-Rim...?"
"...!!"
A voice called my name.
Silfin's face blocked my view, so I couldn’t see them, but I recognized that voice instantly.
My heart sank.
Of all people, it had to be her.
The one person I never wanted to see me like this.
"W-What is the meaning of this?!"
