I Became a Monk in Japan and Exorcised Demons of Other’s Housewives

Chapter 39 - This Woman Is Too Good at It!

Chapter 39: This Woman Is Too Good at It!

“By the way, Master.”

As if she had suddenly remembered something, the woman turned around and looked at Lu Jin, speaking seemingly unintentionally.

“Recently, my husband and I have been sleeping separately. I sleep very deeply at night and don’t like to close the door. Do you think anything unclean might come in?”

Hearing the heavily suggestive words, Lu Jin’s lips twitched.

This woman… she’s really something.

For a moment, he couldn’t tell if she was fishing for a reaction or if she was truly that thirsty.

“Hard to say.”

Faced with that deeply meaningful gaze, Lu Jin felt a headache coming on.

There was no way he could answer that.

He could only silently recite Buddhist scriptures to suppress the restlessness within him.

“Then when you have time, Master, you must check for me. Otherwise, I, someone who sleeps so deeply that I can’t even tell if it’s my husband, wouldn’t dare to sleep at night.”

Under the moonlight, her fair skin glowed beneath her thin nightgown.

A slender waist, subtly defined muscles—clearly, she worked out regularly.

Below her waist, the curve of her hips flared out like a droplet of water, pressing together with the fullness of her thighs to form a shadowy crevice.

Like a black hole, it drew the gaze in.

“This humble monk will do his best!”

Lu Jin quickly averted his eyes, pressed his palms together, and chanted a few more Buddhist scriptures before finally calming himself down.

He had to admit, this woman was a master at the art of seduction.

Every glance, every smile, even the simplest gesture, could stoke the flames in a person’s heart.

“Then I’ll be waiting for you, Master.”

Aoi Yuriko smiled lightly, then turned and left.

To be honest, that waist was truly something.

Just the right grip size, toned yet carrying a soft fleshiness from years of fitness.

If he were to grab it from behind… just thinking about it made his blood surge.

Watching her hips sway as she walked away, Lu Jin squinted slightly, suppressing his desire.

From their conversation earlier, he had picked up on a very useful piece of information.

Seven years ago, the Aoi Group had experienced a severe crisis.

Because of that incident, the entire company nearly went bankrupt.

Of course, the Aoi Group wasn’t the only one hit hard.

Across the entire island, industries related to it suffered massive losses, countless companies went under and were liquidated.

At least three figures’ worth of employees, after being laid off, found themselves unable to survive and had no choice but to jump to their deaths.

Yet, in that same year, the Aoi Group miraculously turned its fate around.

Not only was the crisis resolved, but they also landed several major deals in quick succession.

They went from the brink of collapse to becoming the industry’s leading enterprise, one of the few survivors.

From then on, their growth became unstoppable.

In just a short period, the company’s market value multiplied several times over.

And all of this happened not long after Aoi Kai’s wife passed away.

Shortly after that, Aoi Kai married a new wife—Aoi Yuriko, his current spouse.

“That’s a bit too much of a coincidence.”

Lu Jin rubbed his chin.

When looked at separately, these events seemed unrelated, but piecing them together, the timing felt almost… too convenient.

His wife had just died, and suddenly the company was thriving.

And the grieving widower? Instead of mourning, he promptly married a younger, more beautiful woman.

Calling this a coincidence was a stretch.

Lu Jin continued strolling through the estate.

Suddenly, a faint, indistinct wailing sound reached his ears.

He stopped in his tracks, frowning as he looked toward the source of the strange noise.

The sound came from inside the estate’s villa, yet it felt as if it were coming from underground.

The noise was weak—if not for his sharp hearing, he wouldn’t have even noticed it.

Curious, he followed the direction of the sound. The faint sobbing became clearer.

A soft, whimpering cry, like a woman weeping in the dark.

“Hmph.”

A sudden snort.

Lu Jin turned toward the sound and saw the hunchbacked woman who had disliked him from the start.

She was looking at him with a face full of disdain.

Lu Jin felt a bit speechless.

He wasn’t even sure how he had offended her.

Yet this woman seemed to have taken a personal grudge against him.

Then again, it wasn’t just him.

She seemed to harbor hostility toward all men, looking down on everyone.

“Again?”

Lu Jin heard a nearby bodyguard mutter under his breath.

His expression was calm, as if this was nothing new.

Curious, Lu Jin lowered his voice and asked,

“Benefactor, does this sound often appear in the estate?”

“Master!”

Upon noticing Lu Jin’s monk robes and otherworldly aura, the bodyguard, who had initially been uninterested in talking, suddenly looked devout.

Clearly, he was a believer in Buddhism.

Hearing Lu Jin’s question, the bodyguard immediately explained in a hushed voice.

“Not all the time, but every few days, strange sounds like this will appear in the estate.”

Lu Jin narrowed his eyes and casually asked,

“Has no one ever reported this to the police?”

“Of course, someone did. But after searching the entire estate, the police found nothing unusual.”

“An expert once said that because the estate is too spacious, occasional gusts of wind might cause these sounds. We’ve all gotten used to it.”

As the bodyguard spoke, the sobbing sound faded away.

As if it had never existed.

As if it was truly nothing more than the wind.
