It was an annoying chore, but since I had decided to give her some face, I figured I might as well do it properly. Besides, I was curious about her subordinates.

So, I personally negotiated with the chief prosecutor to organize the dinner as a sort of departmental outing. The bastard, however, gave off the vibe that he wanted to tag along. After unleashing a string of harsh curses at him, I walked out.

He looked deeply offended, but at least he knew his place and didn’t push further.

Was he insane? What did he think he was trying to join?

“Get rid of him. Find a female chief prosecutor as soon as possible.”
“Yes, Master.”

I rode the AV to the Songdo estate. Before moving to the artificial island, I used to stay at my office in Ganghwa regularly, so it had been ages since I’d been here.

“Home is still the best.”

Truth be told, I initially planned to visit the entertainment district in Songdo.

Songdo is the wealthiest area in Incheon and an extraordinary hub of nightlife.

It wasn’t always like this, though. Surprisingly, in its early days, Songdo was a quiet city with no ties to nightlife.

That changed after the Third World War when a flood of Chinese and other foreigners poured into Incheon, turning it into utter chaos.
