I Became The Chief of A Primitive Village

Sha Hong and Ye Jiu’s expressions were extremely solemn. Neither of them were individuals to be trifled with.

One was a Mid-Stage Totem Warrior, whose strength commanded respect from everyone in the Tribe. Having survived outside the Tribe for such a long time unscathed was testament to her formidable power.

The other, the wolf eared girl, was also no weakling. She was counted among the Tribe’s finest, with her being a Peak Early-Stage Totem Warrior.

She single-handedly killed a Six Eyed Red Bird, and that gigantic green snake in the Hunting Ground.

*Step step step…*

Neither the wolf eared girl nor her companion showed any hesitation, heading straight toward the river after receiving their orders.

Upon reaching the riverbank, they prepared to enter the water. The water near the riverbank was relatively shallow, and they could still step on the riverbed.

Since they had wrapped some Beast Hide around their feet when leaving the Tribe, they did not need to worry about fish bites.

As the wolf eared girl and her companion drew closer, the River Crocodile King remained motionless, its eyes fixed intently on the water shoes in the distance.

Its brownish body floated on the water, keeping very low with only its back and a bit of its head exposed.

Its murderous brown vertical pupils had not blinked once, and its body remained perfectly still as it floated.

*Meow~ Meow~* Rolly, on the shore, kept making low calls, its black eyes also fixated on the River Crocodile King.

If not for Su Bai’s order forbidding it from entering the river, the black cat would probably have already jumped in to fight the River Crocodile King.

Though Rolly was not large, its strength could not be underestimated, and its courage… it was to the degree of being reckless. Its eagerness to fight was clearly visible, despite the difference in size and strength.

*Step step step…*

Ye Jiu and Sha Hong had already entered the water, both holding weapons, though the wolf eared girl’s weapon was superior.

She held the combat knife given by Su Bai, while Sha Hong held a Beast Bone.

They continued approaching the River Crocodile King, and when they were only about ten steps away.

The River Crocodile King began to slowly move. Its brown vertical pupils turn toward the two.

Its body also turned slightly, its thick tail swaying gently as it began to slowly rise.

Due to the River Crocodile King’s enormous size, even the slight movements were clearly noticeable.

It suddenly launched its attack, opening its bloody jaw to reveal rows of sharp teeth, charging toward the Ye Jiu.

Its speed was incredibly fast, unlike what one would expect from its size. The River Crocodile King decided to attack the weaker one first.

She was both the closest, and also appeared to be the easiest target. After all, just standing there, Sha Hong’s emanating aura could be felt.

The River Crocodile King opened its bloody jaw, large enough to swallow a person whole. With rows of serrated teeth, still carrying a bloody smell and bits of Giant Salamander meat.

The entire River Crocodile King ‘s momentum was like a fierce tiger descending from the mountain. Its terrifying presence lunged, trying to take a bite out of the wolf eared girl.

Ye Jiu frowned, this scene up close was indeed nerve wrecking. After all, those rows of sharp teeth and that massive body made others feel naturally wary and fearful.

However, Ye Jiu was not an inexperienced little girl. She had seen her fair share of battles and had seen such scenes many times before. She acted simultaneously as the River Crocodile King initiated its attack.

She half-crouched to gather strength and leaped, perfectly landing after jumping from the water surface, avoiding the River Crocodile King ‘s bloody jaw.

*Boom!*

*Splash splash…*

After the River Crocodile King missed, due to its massive size, its landing created huge waves.

Sha Hong’s expression grew serious, taking advantage of when the River Crocodile King missed its attack.

The cat eared Mother twisted the Beast Bone in her hand, half-crouching before gathering her strength and lunging.

Before the River Crocodile King could react, Sha Hong had already appeared on its back.

Sha Hong raised the Beast Bone high, gripping it tightly with both hands to strike, stabbing fiercely at the River Crocodile King’s head.

*Crack!* A crisp sound rang out as the Beast Bone broke. Due to the River Crocodile King’s thick armour, Beast Bone could not harm it at all.

*Roar roar roar…* The River Crocodile King roared with its huge mouth, feeling humiliated from missing its attack and having someone riding on its back.

It became enraged, and violently shook its body.

The River Crocodile King suddenly started running, raising its front claws high, while its tail swung forcefully, trying to throw Sha Hong off its back.

Sha Hong did not continue to grapple with the River Crocodile King, as her Beast Bone had broke. This meant that her plan to pierce its head was impossible.

She bent her knees and leaped from the River Crocodile King’s back, flipping once in the air before landing back on the water surface.

"Beast Bone can’t harm it," Sha Hong tossed away the broken half of the Beast Bone, pulling out another Beast Bone from her waistband.

"Let me try. You attract its attention, I’ll jump on its back instead." Ye Jiu said.

Ye Jiu unconsciously gripped her combat knife tighter, her silver eyes solemnly watching the River Crocodile King.

"En." Sha Hong kept waving her Beast Bone as she began to move, her blue eyes still fixed on the River Crocodile King.

*Step step step…*

Sha Hong took several steps on the river surface before starting to run, quickly throwing her Beast Bone at the River Crocodile King.

*Crack!* The River Crocodile King’s massive tail swung once, easily knocking away the Beast Bone, then it opened its bloody jaw again.

It was  like a huge black hole, charging toward Sha Hong with overwhelming momentum.

"Ye Jiu, now!" Sha Hong found it easy to dodge this attack. She just needed to lightly jump to the side to perfectly avoid this lethal strike.

"En." Ye Jiu nodded.

She twisted the combat knife in her hand, taking advantage of when the River Crocodile King’s mouth was not fully closed after lunging to bite.

The wolf eared girl had already mounted its back, and she immediately stabbed her combat knife toward its head.

Her combat knife easily pierced through its thick armour, completely entering its flesh.

*Roar roar roar…* The River Crocodile King’s brown vertical pupils suddenly closed, its expression appearing to be in great pain as it violently twisted its body.

It wanted to throw Ye Jiu off its back, as that stab had caused it too much pain!

However, she tightly held on to its back, and the combat knife in her hand had not been withdrawn. Not in the slightest.
