The wedding of Cerista had been wrapped up, and it had already been about a week since we started heading back from the Holy Land of Mireya toward the Blackwood Estate.

It was the same when we went to Mireya, and now the trip back would also take nearly a week by carriage.

Considering just the duration, I had been away from the estate for almost a month, and the closer we got to Blackwood, the more I felt a strange sense of unease.

It was something only Dietmeier could handle. After all, he was the deputy butler even before I joined the estate as a maid.

I also worried about how Eris and Kenneth were doing. Even though Katarina's personality wasn’t very reliable, she was a good fit for the kids, and she was the only one who could take on the role of a nanny.

Facing the complex household problems again was giving me a headache. Maybe I should’ve just asked the Goddess to introduce a few capable servants who could work in our estate until Ethan and I die.

‘…Well, that’s something that could be handled without using the Goddess’s powers.’

Among all the possible wishes, I ultimately chose the Hero’s posthumous return, simply because it seemed like the most reasonable option for me.

No matter how advanced this world’s science and magic became, the technology to send humans to other dimensions would likely never be invented.

It was something only the Goddess’s power could do, and that was why I chose it. Asking for something like the ability to make my favorite Korean dishes or ensuring that all the servants at Blackwood Estate were capable would be doable through effort or other means.

The Hero, who had spent over ten years and defeated the Demon King, deserved to have his original wish granted. It wasn’t that bad of an idea to fulfill a wish that I didn’t even know existed for his sake.
