Chapter 673 93
they can win the battle even with all the hidden aces of the swarm unleashed at Zell City.
As it turns out, there are more, with one of the hidden cards being something that not even a large number of weaker combatants and excellent strategy could work against.
'So many A-rank Human Bugs. Not to mention the B-rank. They outnumber us in terms of powerful elites.' Even with the help of Adventure Guild, the number of A-rankers Betrum Nation could field is around 29, not even half of what the swarm could unleash.
'And that's not even talking about the other monsters in Zell Forest.' He thought fearfully.
During his younger years, he had entered Zell Forest, eager to prove himself. But, when he enter the deeper part, he realized how weak he was.
Inside the dark, eerie forest lie multiple monsters, some gargantuan in size, while some smaller but still as large as a small house. Yet, the different in sizes did not meant much when one is a foolish C-rank soldier against A-rank Bugs, the smallest the size of two horses.
It was with great luck he managed to escape, that the monster did not seem keen on human flesh for whatever reason. Since then, he learned to not underestimate the forest and catalog any A-rank monsters he or anyone else found.
With the catalog, he managed to estimate the number of A-rank monsters hiding in the forest, and it scared him. How could it not when he learned that there could be hundreds of A-rank monsters prowling in Zell Forest, waiting to come out and destroy Betrum Nation.
It was sheer luck Zell Forest is located at the best Mana Zone of the entire Nation, or the truly powerful Bugs will come out and claim that as their home.
The General did not know whether they are lucky or not. On one hand, the addition of A-rank Bugs of Zell Forest would hasten the destruction of Betrum Nation. On the other hand, the destruction of Betrum Nation is all but certain, the sheer number of powerful Human Bugs make any countermeasure ineffective.
He sighed, before looking at one of his messenger. One he prepared to deliver one last message. He did not send it since there is still hope. However, now the hope was brutally squashed by the revealed truth, there is no need to hold back.
"Send the message to Torim Kingdom. Get them to deliver the message to Adventure Guild Main Headquarter."

Alros watched the death of one of the Hybrids with disinterest. Even if the one killed is an A-rank, it did not matter. He can always make more. In fact, creating A-rank clones of himself is just as good, if not more effective due to the simplicity of cloning.
'Then again, Holy Magic is the counter to myself and my clones. Expending the variety of my forces would give me an advantage in the arm race against the Holy Nation.' He thought, reminding him the reason he stopped turning all of his monsters into Demonic variant.
His eyes stare at the battlefield, but his hand rubbed the rear of Rania, before slapping it hard. The brunette moaned in pleasure, her body arching into the letter C as she cummed.
The Demon Lord groaned, as Rania climaxing pussy squeezed his shaft, massaging his large member.
Despite him enjoying the body of the women around him, Alros continued to watch the battle. He can enjoy them, and any spoils after the battle. In particular, one woman catch his fancy.

Calle shivered for some reason.
'Why did I feel scared for?' a look at the approaching swarm answered her question.
'Oh. Right.' She has a good reason to be scared, except she could not show her fear. The morale already dropped as 2 A-rank adventurers met their end, and that just this side of the wall.
The other side likely suffer the same losses. The only good news were that they managed to get the revenge kill, killing 3 A-rank Human Bugs, except the swarm did not seem particularly effected by those loses.
'So, they act that way or we did not kill the leader.' By now, she already formed few more hypothesis in regard to the Human Bugs. One is that there are two powerful variants. The leader, the one controlling the swarm, or portion of it at least, and the champion, the one fighting their A-rankers.
'We learn of this too late, but at least the other branches will learn of our mistake.' A somber thought, but Calle did not think she can get out of this alive, not with the number they up against.

'At least I can fight to my heart content before dying.' Going out in a fight us a good way to go.
But she will refrain from doing that now. She needed to wait so can kill as many A-rank Human Bugs as possible.
Which would be soon, as the battering ram that is the Giant Horned Beetle rammed into the wall, dislodging some of the bricks while shaking the entire section.
Steadying herself, Calle observed as the Giant Horned Beetle make one final charge, before destroying the walls, sending the destroyed section to crumble.
The soldiers on top managed to get out in time, yet, the loss of one part of the wall meant a part of the defenses is neutered.
With one part of the wall destroyed, the Human Bugs let out an ear-piercing shriek as the swarm, charged into the opening like running water, flooding the area with their figure.
All while those at the top can only watch as the battlefield changed.

The iron gate could hold one more blow. Then, it could not, the giant gate broken under the charge of the Beetle Hybrid.
Its job done, the Hybrid retreated, as it is now the job for the warriors, though it probably join in to be the tank of the force.
What do you think?
