Chapter 675 95
As the militias were terrorized by powerful Human Bugs, the defender of the walls and gates did not have it any better.
While the city is assaulted by small groups of elites, the frontline was met with onslaught of monsters, veritable tide of class and pincers ready to rip and shred those that stand in their way. Including the walls that provided the soldiers of Betrum with much needed advantage.
More large Beetles slammed their sturdy bodies against the wall, trying and very much succeeding in slowly breaking the walls. The defenders tried their best to discourage the Beetles, but boulders and hot oil were in effective in killing them, the carapace of Beetles too strong for even large boulders.
As for the more effective means of attack, such arrows of B-rank warriors, it only injure the Bugs and not killed them unless multiple arrows impaled the Bugs, killing them from bleeding.
However, those warriors also have their own worries. Namely, the flying Bugs delivering Human Bugs right into the city behind them or some that managed to get on the walls.
The latter proved to be more difficult to dealt with as they reach the walls through the act of climbing or being dropped by the flying Bugs.
In fact, as more Bugs swarmed on the walls, the Generals of Betrum Nation entered combat, their weapon glinting from sunlight as they reap through the Human Bugs.

"This is getting out of hand!" General of Betrum Grand Army yelled, his sword tearing through the monsters in front of him.
The sword, one made out of the jaws of an A-rank Beetle tore through the monsters with ease. It was his greatest trophy, one he earned when he entered Zell Forest after getting way stronger than his previous excursion in there.
However, even with his strength and strong weapon, the number of Human Bugs starting to get overwhelming, even for him. More so as the last few monsters were at B-ranks.
The increase in strength with each monsters he slain made him believe sooner or later he would be facing an A-rank Human Bugs.
A thought that was proven true when one entered his sight, the monster slightly smaller than he expected. However, the size did not fool the General, as he could feel the overwhelming power of the monster.
Strong enough to make some weaker warriors cower. But not him. Brandishing his weapon, the General did not say any word as he charged towards the monster, ready to fight it.
The monster did not let out any screech either, instead taking a combat stance as the enter a dance of blade.

Calle let out a loud triumphant shout. Another A-rank monsters had met their ends, her spear piercing its head. So far, she had slain three, a far greater success than other A-ranks.
However, she did not find joy in her success, as she could tell the battle slowly shifting against their favor.
"This is getting bad." She whispered to herself. At the rate the battle if going at, Zell City, and with it Betrum Nation would fell in hours.
'Not even a single day of a true battle against the swarm and we already finished.' Her thought showed the agony she felt.
Oh, how she wished Betrum Nation higher-ups, herself included, called for aid. Unfortunately, it's too late for regret. At the very least, the Human Bugs swarm would be exterminated, even if it would be too late by then.
Her thought was interrupted when a stronger foe entered her vision. Looking almost plain, as it's body was not covered on the intricate mark she came to associate with stronger Human Bugs, Calle did not let her guard down.
Her senses had been attuned to danger and powerful enemies, and she could trust it wholeheartedly.
For her to feel scared, the monster in front of her is stronger than anything she had faced so far.
"Are you the leader of the swarm?" she asked, not expecting any answer. Mostly because the Human Bugs, while showing intelligent not inferior to sentient races, not showing any signs they could understand the words spoken to them. Explore more adventures at My Virtual Library Empire
However, she quickly find herself surprised as the monster tilted it's head, like it understand what she just said.
'Maybe it's one of the stronger leader. Maybe the ruler of the swarm." She guessed. Whether the guess is correct or not, at least killing the monster would relieved some pressure to the defenders.
"Come on then! Let's fight!" Calle yelled aggressively, her spear thrusting at the monster.
However, with surprising agility, the Human Bug dodged the strike, but not bothering to attack her.
Calle was confused for a few seconds before deciding to not take the chance slide. With greater vigor, as if the fatigue she accumulated from continuous combat had gone, the leader of Betrum Adventure Guild pressed on her attack, launching near suicidal strike that would have other opponents taking the opportunity to kill her.
However, the monster did no such thing, continuing its game of evasive movement, not bothering to attack her for some reason. Calle took it as a sign she stumbled on a smarter monster, who possessed the strength of an A-rank, but focused more on its intelligence to lead the swarm.
'I'm going to kill you and make things easier for those who will come to replace us!' Calle knew she will not survive the day, but she would make the conquest of Betrum Nation territory easier for the Guild.

"So, that's the woman you want?" Mina asked. Alros nodded, bucking his hips to Mirna, the former Hero taking the place of Rania, the brunette barely conscious from his teasing.
"She is a beauty. Even if she is on the muscular side." Lina commented.
"Yup, and I'm going to break her pride, and turned her into a cock-loving whore." The thought make him go erect, getting Mirna to groan as his cock expended inside the blonde's cave.
"But, why does Maroon hold back?" Mina pointed out. The illusion might fool others but she is an experience Witch,
