The princess, or heiress in general. One that either capable of everything but combat, or the one that look soft, gentle, and cute.
'I've lay my claim on the Guild Leader. Giving this one to Aridus won't hurt.' The prince decided, giving the order to not catch after the woman.
He will be having more soon, after all.

When the sun peek out from the horizon, inhabitants of the Capital thought their life will continue as normal, albeit with some faces missing.
However, the day turned out to be everything but normal and peaceful, as the bell rang.
"Monsters! Monsters!" the remaining guards shouted, their faces etched with terror.
The civilian looked at one another, before taking the course of action that many would take.
"Run! Monsters!"
"Get out of my way!"
"Where are the guards!? The soldiers?!"
"How can I know!? But those that mean Zell City already fell!?"
As panic filled the air, a certain Merchant Group started to regret not following their leader's advice, and escape the now damned Capital.
"Guards! Get ready to fight!" one of the remaining captain yelled. That's when one of the Bug flew to the wall, landing near the one who shouted earlier.
The power emanating from the Bug caused the captain to tremble in fear, his legs quivering as he realized the monster is an A-rank.
The man would have fainted, when the monster throw something at him. Taking the green pebble with shaking hands, words formed in his head.
Looking at the monster as if he was given a new lifeline, the captain turned towards his subordinates.
"Tell the soldiers and militias to surrender. Tell them that those who did not, will perish." He ordered.
His subordinates wondered if the captain went mad with fear. But, seeing him capable of speeches and not spouting other sort of insanity, the subordinates nodded as he relayed the message.
Soon, words of surrender or die filled the capital.

"What, surrender and we got to live? Who would believe such thing?"
"Yeah, it's got to be a trick, right?"
"The monsters can trample the defense of the Capital easily. Why would they bother tricking us like that?"
Questions filled the Capital as the inhabitants talked to one another. The talk reached its end when the gate opened, allowing lines of Humanoid Bugs to enter the City.
With powerful aura coming from them, the civilians realized the decision to surrender is a wise one, as none of the Bugs are weaker than the soldiers they met so often. In fact, the Humanoid Bugs are way stronger, with some whispering to each other than a single one of the new monsters can crush 10 soldiers easily.
As the people surrenders, the captain did his best to ensure no one will try to fight their invaders. While he was glad, he can keep his life, as well as his subordinates and the people, he was sad of the loss of life. After all, there is a reason why none of the soldiers returned, and why the Human Bugs managed to reach the capital.
The captain sighed. Hopefully, no one will do anything stupid or their life might be forfeit.

Surprisingly, things went well. Apart for some who tried to show some resistance, before the captain managed to get them to calm down by throwing in the simple truth, that they could not win.
After the people surrender, the captain led the Bugs to the mansion of Head of Nation. He do wonder if the wife and those loyal to the Head will make things difficult.

"Captain, why are you leading the monster here?" the wife of Betrum Head of Nation, Kaylen, asked. The captain sighed.
"I chose between my life and the life of the people to dying pointlessly." The captain replied with a blank stare, before walking away. What happen to those people will be up to them. He will not interfere.
Thankfully, there are no battle, or massacre. The people in the mansion was lead outside of it. In fact, everyone was slowly led to the Capital outside.

For what reason, the captain did not know. However, he doubted the monster will execute them. They can easily do so in the City. Even if it will fill the capital with stench of blood, monsters will not care for such thing. At least, he don't think so.
And so, the captain followed the lead of the monsters, getting out of the Capital. Soon, his eyes laid on purple colored portal.
He watched as the monsters nudged the people into the portal. Most looked apprehensive but, with some almost looking like they were going to bolt in fear.
'I have to take the lead again, didn't I?' with heavy steps, the captain took the lead, passing other people before entering the portal first. Once he passed through it, he blinked, wondering if he was seeing an illusion.
A large city was in front of him, larger and grander than the capital. He doubt some of the stronger neighboring nations would have such large City.
After looking into the portal, the captain come out, giving his verdict.
"It's safe! But move in a straight line! I don't want anyone to push one another!" he ordered. Thankfully, the civilians followed his command, not doing anything unnecessary and make his and their life more complicated.
Soon, the entirety of the Capital filed out into the portal, never to be seen or heard again by anyone not in the know.

In other towns and cities, different reactions took places for each one. Some are calm, like the capital, while others tried to fight back. For those that perform the latter, they were summarily executed, with the only exception being the beautiful, young or both women, and children, while the rest suffer the consequences of their action.
And so, in two days' time, the entirety of Betrum Nation population was gone from the face of the earth.
What do you think?
