I Can See The Success Rate

Chapter 1 – The success rate of scratch cards

In a rented apartment in Hang City, China.

"Sigh, my new book flopped again. It seems I'm really not cut out for writing novels..."

Bai Wu looked at the author's backend data and sighed.

The title of this new book was "Starting to Raise a Slime from Today," which was inspired by a recently popular novel about raising dragons.

The general plot was about a magician protagonist who accidentally binds to a slime ranch system, allowing him to cultivate various slimes, like slimes that can use five-element magic, holy magic, or even breathe dragon's breath, and then show off and rise to prominence.

Bai Wu thought he could at least get a taste of the success following the big names in dragon-raising, but unexpectedly...

Three days after publishing, the book had less than a hundred collections, and all the flower ratings and votes were from himself...

"Sigh~ Forget it, forget it. I'm quitting. I should just find a stable job!"

Bai Wu shook his head, closed his computer, and left the apartment, planning to visit the nearby job market.

As he passed by a lottery shop, Bai Wu suddenly stopped.

"Take a gamble, turn a bike into a motorcycle?"

With that thought, Bai Wu walked into the lottery shop.

"Boss, give me a five-yuan scratch card, just that 'Five Blessings' one!"

The lottery shop owner opened the cabinet, took out a stack of 'Five Blessings' cards, glanced at Bai Wu, and asked, "Which one do you want?"

"Just pick any one..."

Bai Wu said casually, then suddenly froze.

Because he saw floating percentage numbers above the stack of scratch cards.

0%, 100%, 0%, 100%, 0%, 100%

What’s going on? Did I pull an all-nighter writing last night and now I'm seeing things? Bai Wu was puzzled, shook his head, rubbed his eyes, and looked again. The percentage numbers were still floating above the scratch cards.

"Here you go!"

The owner, puzzled by Bai Wu's head-shaking and eye-rubbing, handed him the top scratch card.

"Oh, oh!"

Bai Wu glanced at the scratch card handed over by the owner, and it still had the floating percentage number, 100%.

"What is this?"

Bai Wu's curiosity grew.

He took a coin and quickly scratched the card.

Won ten yuan!

Bai Wu stared at the card, pondered for a few seconds, and a bold idea emerged.

Looking up, he said, "Boss, give me two more, I want these two!"

Bai Wu chose two scratch cards with 100% floating above them.

He scratched them one by one with a coin.

The first one, won five yuan.

The second one, won five yuan.

"Boss, give me two more, I want the one in the middle and the eighth one!"

Bai Wu picked two more scratch cards with 100% floating above them.

Scratched them one by one.

The first one, won fifty yuan.

The second one, won five yuan.

"Damn, is it true? Could it be that the floating percentage numbers on these scratch cards indicate the probability of winning?"

Bai Wu felt an inexplicable excitement, took a deep breath, and said, "Boss, give me eleven more, I want this one, that one..."

This time, Bai Wu chose ten with 100% and one with 0%.

"Young man, are you sure?" the owner asked, taking a drag on his cigarette.

"Absolutely!" Bai Wu replied without hesitation.

Scratched them one by one.

Won five yuan, ten yuan, five yuan, twenty yuan, fifty yuan, five yuan, one hundred yuan, five yuan, five yuan, ten yuan.

In total, it was two hundred and fifteen yuan!

All ten scratch cards with 100% floating above them won something.

The only scratch card with 0% floating above it did not win.

"Damn, can I really see the success rate?"

Bai Wu's eyes widened in disbelief.@@novelbin@@

Beside him.

The lottery shop owner, seeing Bai Wu's expression, patted his shoulder and advised earnestly, "Young man, I've told you, small bets are fun, big bets are harmful. You should have stopped after winning fifty yuan, now it's not worth it, is it?"

"Boss!"

Bai Wu pushed the ten winning scratch cards toward the owner and said, "Give me ten twenty-yuan scratch cards and one ten-yuan scratch card. The remaining five yuan can cover the cost of my first five-yuan card!"

The owner was stunned.

He checked each winning card one by one.

"Damn!"

The owner's hand shook, and he couldn't help but curse, "Young man, are you sure you still want to buy? Take my advice, stop now, or you'll end up losing the two hundred yuan. With lottery tickets, only a very few actually make a profit..."

A quick look at "pawread dot com" will leave you more fulfilled.

In the end.

Despite the owner's advice, Bai Wu insisted, and the owner handed over ten twenty-yuan scratch cards and one ten-yuan scratch card as requested.

Among them, seven of the twenty-yuan scratch cards had 100% floating above them, the remaining three had 0%, and the ten-yuan card also had 100%.

Rubbing his hands together, he scratched them one by one.

The eight scratch cards with 100% floating above them won twenty yuan, fifty yuan, twenty yuan, twenty thousand yuan, twenty yuan, one hundred yuan, two hundred yuan, and ten yuan, totaling twenty thousand four hundred and twenty yuan!

The three scratch cards with 0% did not win anything.
