I Can See Your Combat Power

Chapter 925 - 219: Bone Taoist

Chapter 925: Chapter 219: Bone Taoist

Gazing at the menacing masked man, Jiu Da felt an inexplicable sense of humiliation. As a Great Asura King of the Feitian Clan and a saintly monk of the Krahoh God Temple, when had he ever been directly threatened for his life? But the opponent was just too powerful; the thunderous pathway that stretched for thousands of miles had nearly overturned his understanding of martial arts. He had thought that his opponent was a complete master of Spirit Art, and that by using the Asura Path battle technique, he might find some advantage in close combat. Yet the fusion of three forces that the opponent wielded effortlessly had shattered all his pride.

Facing such a flawless monster, he dare not initiate the battle lightly. Just like Tang Luo had said, his goal was to become the Patriarch of the Feitian Clan. If he were to be defeated here, even if only injured, his grand visions would never come to fruition.

His complexion dark as ink, Jiu Da’s expression shifted back and forth, struggling repeatedly within his heart.

Just as the negotiation was about to collapse, a white skeleton rose from the depths of the earth, towards which both men yearned. The hollow skull flickered with two points of ghostly fire, and cackled, “Cough cough cough, wonderful, truly wonderful. The Bone Taoist has not seen such a frenzied fighter in a long time!”

The sudden appearance of the skeleton irked Tang Luo greatly, and he sent out a punch directly, with the fusion of three types of force creating a vortex of wind capable of grinding all things to dust.

When Jiu Da saw that Tang Luo was actually making a move, he did not want to face the punch directly and quickly dodged. However, he did not expect such a fierce blow to be parried by the skeleton with a wave of its hand, not even a trace of wind force spilling out, as if it had absorbed the punch’s energy.

...

This unexpected turn left Tang Luo unprepared; with his physique, a punch with three forces combined was almost comparable to a low-grade Profound Spirit Art, yet it was absorbed so easily by his opponent. This indicated that not only was the skeleton’s strength incredibly astonishing, but it also possessed mysterious secret techniques. With Tang Luo’s martial arts expertise, he could roughly discern the nature of the monster before him.

Knowing that his force had no effect, Tang Luo disengaged his attacking stance and sat back down on the chair, addressing the skeleton, “Bone of Eternal Destruction, who would have thought that White Bone Sect still had disciples; truly unexpected.”

The skeleton cackled with a sound like the crackling of bones, “Someone still remembers White Bone Sect? The Bone Taoist is, cough cough cough cough cough, truly overjoyed.”

Seeing the skeleton block such a vicious strike, Jiu Da felt greatly relieved. He returned to his original position without a sound and addressed the skeleton, “Many thanks to the Daoist Priest for your assistance, Jiu Da is deeply grateful.”

The skeleton turned its head, its jaw bones clattering silently as if in laughter, “Since the Blood Tower has sent the Bone Taoist here, the monk should have more confidence. It’s only Xiushi Emperor, no need for such extra effort. To cause Mr. Tang such displeasure is indeed worthy of penalty!”

Before the skeleton, Jiu Da was extremely humble, repeatedly apologizing, “The Daoist Priest speaks truly; Jiu Da has been foolish, please do not take offense.”

After admonishing Jiu Da, the skeleton turned back around, noncommittally, and faced Tang Luo again, “To encounter such an exceptional person like you in the Wilderness is indeed fortunate. I wonder if you would care to move to a side hall for a small talk with the Bone Taoist?”

Favors bind the mouth, and benefits soften the hands. The arrival of the skeleton had resolved the issue with the temple and displayed great goodwill. Coupled with Tang Luo’s curiosity about the long-lost White Bone Sect, he naturally would not refuse such an invitation. He pocketed the thirty-five Fallen Imperial Magnetic Beads into his robe and said to the skeleton, “Please lead the way, Daoist Priest.”

Standing up, Tang Luo followed the skeleton through a side door. After passing through a small path, they came upon an unremarkable side hall.

The skeleton turned to Tang Luo and bowed, then pointed towards the side hall before sinking into the ground. Tang Luo nodded and headed towards the side hall. The door happened to open, and the one opening it was none other than a saintly woman he had seen before at the temple—according to what he had heard from Dong Zhi, her name seemed to be Daiya.

When she was seen at the ceremony earlier, Dia, as the Saintess, attended in an untouchable, majestic sanctity, worshipped by thousands of believers. However, when seen in the side chamber, she lacked the sacred aura of the temple’s forecourt, her clothes disheveled, sweat covering her forehead, and her body exuded an air of indecency.

The Dia that saw Tang Luo appeared very flustered, and she couldn’t even straighten her clothes before lowering her head and running off. It was obvious that Dia felt some discomfort in her lower body, as even the thighs at the base of her legs were tightly pressed together as she hurried away.

As they passed by each other, Tang Luo, with his keen sense of smell, could detect the scent of sexual fluids. Frowning, he walked into the side chamber, where a thin man wearing a Gou Chen Mask was putting on a Daoist Priest’s robe. On the disordered bed, one could vaguely make out the traces of two intertwined bodies.

“I’ve never heard of any Saintess that offers sleeping services,” Tang Luo, behind the Gou Chen Mask, frowned as if to confirm once again and asked the thin man who was straightening his robe, “The one who just left, was she the Saintess of the Klaha Temple?”

“Saintess? In the Feitian Sect, there is no such thing as a Saintess, just some—Buddha’s whores.”

Having carelessly tied his Daoist robe, the thin man didn’t stand up but instead half-lay on the bed and chuckled towards Tang Luo, “Dedicating one’s life to the divine, marrying into the temple, performing the acts of physical charity, if Sir is interested, this Daoist can arrange it.”

“No need,” said Tang Luo, clad in a Star Robe, grandly seating himself on the only low table inside the side chamber, and said to the man, “A Daoist Priest can arrange temple prostitutes in the temple, I truly didn’t know what kind of sordid filth the Feitian Sect stands for, it’s sickening.”

“Cough cough cough cough cough,” the Daoist Priest half-lying on the bed chuckled with a cough, “Sir’s words are very amusing. If it weren’t for the fact that cultivation cannot be faked, I would’ve really thought Sir was a hot-blooded young man fresh from his home.”

“Daoist Priest, you’re quite the joker,” Tang Luo, with the Gou Chen Mask, responded unperturbed and got straight to the point, “I ‘m simply curious, the White Bone Sect vanished without a trace for hundreds of years, why would it suddenly appear, and why would it associate with someone like Jutah?”

“Sir is rather straightforward, asking about the mysteries of someone else’s sect the moment you meet. If it was so easy to divulge, why would I need to wear the White Bone Mask for all to see?”

The Daoist Priest wearing the White Bone Mask propped his elbow on the bed, supporting his head and said, “It’s just like Sir, wearing a mask to hide your true origins, why bother asking in such detail?”

“You make a good point,” Tang Luo nodded and said, “It was presumptuous of me!”

The Daoist Priest sitting up on the bed, eyes behind the White Bone Mask brimming with mirth, introduced himself to Tang Luo, “I am Feng You, a killer from the Ancient Blood Tower, known as the Bone Taoist, disciple of the White Bone Sect. May I know how to address Sir?”

“I am Gou Chen,” Tang Luo replied and couldn’t help but give the thin Daoist Priest on the bed another few glances.

In the famous battle of the Ancient Blood Tower, it was Bone Taoist and Corpse Monk who killed the An Clan’s Heavenly Patrol Envoy. Tang Luo had expected the two to be relentlessly pursued by the Dutian Heavenly King, with no escape from heaven to earth, but seeing Feng You’s current state, it seemed he was unaffected, which made Tang Luo elevate his estimation of the Ancient Blood Tower a notch higher.
