I Got Reincarnated as the Game's Villain

Chapter 37: Me...

"We have arrived," quipped the driver, and I stepped out of the carriage, stretching my sore limbs to alleviate the numbness.

"Good. So…?" I said, then asked with a raised eyebrow to which the man stretched his hand forward.

"Money," he said with a grin that was as disturbing as it was unnerving.

"How much?" I asked with a smile, then put my hands into my bag. Yes, bag. Since I lost my spatial ring, which literally contained everything I had, I had to start from scratch. Sigh. Well, the good thing was the system's malfunction resulted in my mana restoration. I guess since it couldn't tell if I was really dead or alive, some of the seals couldn't apply properly.

That…

…or…

…the mana seal was just with that body of mine.

Either way, I could now get a new spatial ring—not that I could with how ridiculous the cost is—and use it also since I now possess mana. The reason that other spatial ring of mine was so special was because it was a relic imbued with mana storage properties, so someone like me, who had no mana, could use its spatial ability even without the required mana to power it.

"Just a hundred gold coins," said the man, who could barely hold himself from bursting into an evil laugh.

"Here," I said with a smile, stretching my closed fist. But to this, the man frowned as a hundred gold coins definitely couldn't fit in such a small space. "Have it," I urged, gesturing to him to stretch out his own palm. He regarded me for a short while, then reached out to collect whatever amount I was giving him, but the moment he got closer, I instantly caught his hand and punched him right in the gut, then struck him in the nose, and he lost consciousness.

'Um… That was kind of unnecessary,' the thought reached me after the deed was done. Where is the voice of reasoning when you need one? Well, it's not like I have a hundred gold coins just lying around.

"Yeah, I kind of miss that bastard system. Tsk, whatever, let's get this over with," I gave the man one last glance before moving on.

Dwarven Empire.

It was literally wiped out of existence in a single day. Kind of makes me wonder just how many ryquins stormed the whole place.

Anyway, here I am, Minfora, one of the border kingdoms of the empire, facing that of the Azure Empire. It was the easiest to get to, so I came.

"I wonder how much I have changed," I mused to myself, though the mask I had over my face.

It's been about four months and a few weeks since the Arten's raid and the whole encounter with the Weaver. During that time, I had only been able to complete another generated quest, which was to survive ten days straight without food. It was kind of easy to complete considering I had none in the first place, so I couldn't be tempted to eat.

Anyway…

…the academy's entrance exams start in earnest, and I have barely two months to get to the Gates of Aden. Well, whatever, I will cross that bridge when the time for that comes.

Aden's Mystic Academy.

A fitting name since no one actually knows the true location of the academy; it's as though it doesn't exist in this realm altogether. The only way to get to the academy is by the Gates of Aden, a place which stands between the empires of all races alike: the humans, elves, vampires, mermaids, and the lesser races.

No one controls Aden; it's like a central power on its own, and that is further reinforced by the fact that it is located outside the empires.

"Heck… did a storm hit this place or what?" The whole place was a mess. Miniature-looking buildings torn to shreds, the roads made of concrete themselves were torn apart, and I could see bones, a lot of them, lying at every corner. This is all that is left of a once-great empire.

Anyway, I don't have much time to waste here. I have barely enough LP to keep idling around, so let's just get what I came here for and go.

Hm.

After the mission with Ellie, I got 100 LP, which plus my original 2 LP left gave me barely about three months and a week's time. That's why I had to generate a quest last month, so I don't run out and become desperate, but since the quest was an easy one, it gave me about 58 LP, so I have no choice but to get to the academy as fast as possible to complete the original quest and get that LP.

"Tsk," I clicked my tongue as I realized one thing.

"How the heck am I to find the capital?"

FUCK.

It seems I will be here for a while.

[Nikyeon Alloy]

Something I encountered at the fifth act of the game. The game was written to have ten acts, and in each act, five arcs. So yeah, it was that far in the future. Come to think of it, I was only able to complete the nine acts of the game before everything went weird—from the TV and console totally shutting down, to that bastard suddenly killing me.

Anyway, that alloy was one of the most deadly weapons I later discovered in the game. It was used by the dark church members and was said to have only been retrieved by them two acts before the fifth, so in other words, before even now. So I have time to get that stuff for myself.

"…The dark church,"

Well, I kind of forgot about them after the whole ordeal. I have to be extremely careful; I cannot let them discover me, especially after I have been declared dead by the Arenfords.

Which, I won't lie, was more of a huge advantage on my side since the eyes looking out for me when I was alive would probably be little to none now that they think I am dead.

Come to think of it, the canon events must have already begun.

…Well, all the more reason to get stronger. I have to prepare for the first arc of the first act, and also, my inevitable encounter with the protagonist on the entrance examination day…

…I just hope he doesn't take that secret route and try to kill me.

"It should be in the capital, Regna. But… I don't have a freaking map, so how the hell am I even going to get there?!"

This is going to take forever!
