I Have A Sword

Chapter 1195: Why Put Up With Someone Like Him?

The next day, Zhou Fan left the Heavenly World. She was incredibly busy and had already stayed for two days, which meant she had a mountain of work waiting for her back at the academy.

Meanwhile, in the dining hall of the Immortal Treasure Pavilion, Ye Guan was having a meal with Zang Gang, who seemed to be enjoying the food here. She ate voraciously, particularly favoring the lobsters—she had already devoured five of them!

Watching her eat so heartily, Ye Guan couldn't help but smile.

However, his smile was soon replaced with a headache.

Where am I supposed to place her? Ye Guan couldn't trust anyone else to take care of her, but having her follow him around wasn't ideal either, as his strength had yet to recover.

Just then, Ye Guan realized something and frowned. "Master Pagoda, the academy has already begun overseeing the Abandoned Continent. Why hasn't my strength returned yet?"

After a moment of silence, Little Pagoda replied, "Could it be that your aunt forgot about it?"

Ye Guan's face turned dark.

Little Pagoda asked, "What if your task is still ongoing?"

Hearing that, Ye Guan's frown deepened.

Little Pagoda suddenly exclaimed, "Wait!"

"What is it?"

In a serious tone, Little Pagoda replied, "My seal has been lifted."

Ye Guan blinked in surprise and quickly examined the tiny pagoda. Indeed, it was fully restored.

Ye Guan was taken aback. Master Pagoda has recovered, but I haven't recovered yet. What does that mean? Do I still have some more things to do?

Ye Guan was puzzled and confused.

All of a sudden, Zang Gang exclaimed, "One more!"

After Zang Gang ate five more lobsters, Ye Guan finally took her away from the Immortal Treasures Pavilion and headed toward the Divine Ruins.

Naturally, he hadn't forgotten about the Multiverse Emperor and Yang Yian.

Since he had yet to recover his strength, he had to use the Immortal Treasure Pavilion's teleportation array to reach the Divine Ruins.

As for Zang Gang, he had her stay inside the tiny pagoda.

He had already taught her cultivation techniques and martial skills. From here on, it was up to her to practice on her own. Of course, Little Pagoda would guide her as well. After all, without proper guidance, one could easily take unnecessary detours in the path of cultivation.

Three days later, Ye Guan arrived in Youdu City. To reach the Divine Ruins, he needed to take a transfer here, as it was the only place with a large teleportation array.

Youdu City was an ancient city nestled within a vast mountain range. It was famous for being the birthplace of a super genius named Chen Youdu. He was admitted to the Main Guanxuan Academy with the highest score in the entire starry region and was quite renowned there.

Youdu City rose to fame along with him. Additionally, Chen Youdu had brought many resources back to the city.

Achieving the best score! This accomplishment meant that Guanxuan Academy had rewarded Chen Youdu's family, his city, and even his birth world.

Today, the entire city was abuzz with excitement. Countless people lined the streets, eagerly awaiting something.

Upon arriving in Youdu City, Ye Guan didn't head directly for the teleportation array. Zang Gang, craving lobsters again, insisted that they stop by the Immortal Treasures Pavilion for a feast.

On their way, Ye Guan noticed the crowded streets and grew curious.

After inquiring, he learned that Chen Youdu, the city's prodigious genius, was returning home today.

Chen Youdu! Ye Guan was not familiar with the name. Over the years, he had rarely been to the Main Academy, so he wasn't familiar with its current geniuses. He only knew a few monstrous talents from Qingzhou and Nanzhou.

Just then, someone in the crowd exclaimed, "He's here!"

Ye Guan turned to look toward the city gates. A young man dressed in a refined and elegant robe was walking toward the city. A dark belt around his waist accentuated his tall figure, and his clean cloth shoes added to his composed and noble demeanor.

He was charming, graceful, scholarly, and handsome.

Upon seeing the young man, the crowd erupted into cheers, shouting, "Chen Youdu!"

The people waved their hands excitedly, their enthusiasm boundless. Chen Youdu smiled gently at the crowd, nodding and greeting them as he walked down the street.

Ye Guan glanced at the elegant and handsome youth and smiled faintly. "Not bad."

With that, he turned and led Zang Gang away.

Before long, Ye Guan brought Zang Gang to the Immortal Treasures Pavilion. Since his strength hadn't returned, his appearance hadn't returned as well. As a result, the manager from the Immortal Treasures Pavilion couldn't recognize him, and no one came to greet them.

However, Ye Guan couldn't care less. He only wanted to have a good meal with Zang Gang.

After paying ten or so spiritual crystals, they were seated at a window-side table with a great view of the city.

Zang Gang sat down, picked up her chopsticks, and stared at Ye Guan.

Ye Guan chuckled. "What are you looking at me for?"

Zang Gang didn't reply.

Ye Guan smiled and asked, "How's your recent cultivation going?"

Zang Gang's interest was piqued. She waved her hand and demonstrated the Head Snatcher

Ye Guan laughed. "When there's a chance, show it to me in action."

Zang Gang nodded eagerly.

Looking at her, Ye Guan smiled faintly and thought, Master Pagoda, will Grandfather like her when he sees her?

"He'll love her. Her temperament is just like your grandfather's when he was young."

Ye Guan laughed. "I'll bring her to meet him someday."

Little Pagoda teased, "You just want him to train her for you, don't you?"

Ye Guan burst out into a peal of laughter. There was no doubt about it. His grandfather could train Zang Gang far better than he ever could.

Just then, the lobsters were served.

Knowing Zang Gang's appetite, Ye Guan ordered ten lobsters in one go.

Additionally, he pulled out a small stove and prepared instant noodles for her. Ye An had given the necessary tools to him before she left.

While Zang Gang was busy eating, Ye Guan suddenly asked, "Are you interested in learning the sword?"

Zang Gang immediately shook her head. Then, she clenched her fist and showed him a short dagger.

Ye Guan chuckled. Clearly, she preferred Head Snatcher and stabbing people to death.

Just then, a middle-aged man hurried into the dining hall and whispered something to an elder from the Immortal Treasure Pavilion.

Hearing the man's words, the elder's expression shifted. "He's coming soon?"

The middle-aged man nodded. "Yes, hurry up and make the necessary arrangements."

The elder nodded hurriedly. "Understood!"

The middle-aged man nodded slightly before leaving.

The elder stepped onto a nearby stone platform and addressed the diners. "Ladies and gentlemen, the Immortal Treasures Pavilion is about to receive a distinguished guest. We need to clear the area. Please vacate the premises immediately."

Everyone in the hall was stunned.

Clear the area? Ye Guan frowned, puzzled by this announcement.

One of the customers asked, "Elder Yu, who is the guest? How come they warrant such a grand gesture?"

Elder Yu glanced at the speaker and replied, "A distinguished guest."

The customer frowned deeply.

Elder Yu added, "I must ask everyone to leave now."

The customer retorted, "Elder Yu, isn't this against the rules?"

"Do you have a problem with it?" Elder Yu asked. His gaze turned cold as he glared at the customer.

Sensing Elder Yu's displeasure, a lady beside the customer pulled him back, saying, "It's fine. Let's just eat elsewhere."

Still dissatisfied, the customer argued, "Elder Yu, we paid for our meals. If we're being asked to leave, shouldn't we at least get a refund?"

Elder Yu calmly replied, "You've already eaten, so no refunds."

The crowd was indignant, but they dared not voice their complaints. After all, this was the Immortal Treasures Pavilion.

The customer's face darkened, and he exclaimed, "This is outright bullying!"

Elder Yu's face turned cold upon seeing that. With a wave of his hand, several Immortal Treasures Pavilion guards quickly entered the room.

The scene made the other guests visibly uneasy. Many turned and left in a hurry, not daring to linger.

Even the troublemaking man's expression shifted slightly. He hadn't expected the Immortal Treasures Pavilion to be so ruthless.

Just as Elder Yu got ready to make a move, the lady next to the customer stepped in, pulling him behind her.

"Elder Yu, we'll leave right away," she said.

Without waiting for a response, she dragged the man away. Swallowing his pride, the man didn't protest and left with her.

Meanwhile, the rest of the guests in the restaurant hurriedly left, not wanting to get involved.

Elder Yu let out a cold snort. "So, you reject a peaceful solution but will respond to the harsher punishment."

He was about to leave when he stopped and turned to find Ye Guan and Zang Gang in their seats. They showed no signs of leaving.

Zang Gang was still eating enthusiastically.

Elder Yu's eyes narrowed. "Oh? Still refusing to cooperate?"

Ye Guan met Elder Yu's gaze calmly. Elder Yu slowly approached them and said, "What? Not planning to leave?"

Ye Guan calmly replied, "Elder, your actions are not in line with the rules."

Elder Yu sneered. "Rules? Here, I make the rules. Understand?"

Ye Guan frowned slightly. He glanced at Elder Yu, and then he turned to Zang Gang. "Let's go."

Swoosh!

Zang Gang jumped up her seat and drove a dagger into Elder Yu's forehead.

Squelch!

Blood sprayed everywhere.

Elder Yu's eyes widened in shock, and his face was frozen in disbelief. He had never imagined that someone would dare to kill inside the Immortal Treasures Pavilion.

Zang Gang sat back down, gripping her dagger tightly.

She glanced at Ye Guan and asked, "Why put up with someone like him? Bad people exist because good people let them exist, you know that, right?"
