Chapter 502: The Young Lion Plays
Eating Ice Cake, Liu Wei and his friends arrived at the lion exhibit.
After the little lion and Yueyue successfully recognized each other as family, they spent some time together to get Yueyue’s scent on them; then Yueyue took her own cubs to see Kaka.
Kaka, seeing his own cubs, was also a bit stunned, a surprise he hadn’t expected.
Although somewhat puzzled as to why Yueyue hadn’t brought the cubs to recognize their kin earlier, after sniffing the little lions and judging their ages, he confirmed they were indeed his offspring.
So he also accepted Didi, Bubu, and Meimei, the three little ones.
Now on the savannah, there were four adult lions and five little lions, already starting to resemble a pride.
Qiqi and Kaka, the two male lions, were just as usual, lying down and basking in the sun, "hoo-hoo" sleeping.
The little lions were frolicking and playing livelily!
Yueyue lay on the ground, with two little lions playing under her chin.
Didi stood up, repeatedly clawing at Yueyue’s cheek, seemingly fixated on her mother’s white, slender whiskers.
Meimei lay on her back, facing up with an adorable and obedient posture, lying on one of Yueyue’s paws being gently embraced by her mother.
Her bright, almond-like black eyes, seeing her brother pulling at their mother’s whiskers, also stretched out a tiny paw and pressed it on Yueyue’s nose.
A warm, persistent breeze swept through, causing the fresh, tender green grass to sway back and forth.
Yueyue seemed to be tickled, slightly lifting her chin and smacking her lips, her ears fluttering.
Her ears, spread out like an airplane to each side, indicated that she was in a very relaxed state.
The corners of her eyes, slightly squinted and pulled back, even conveyed a hint of happiness.
Yueyue had grown a lot in her maternal role after watching Qiuqiu bond with her child.
From a nervous, inexperienced first-time mother overanxious about pregnancy and giving birth, after her child was returned to her care, she became much calmer and more at peace.
At that moment, Didi seemed to notice the other little lions playing and stopped playing with Yueyue, running away from her.
Watching him run off, Yueyue lifted her head, opened her mouth wide, and yawned, then lowered her head and drew Meimei closer, starting to lick her cheek.
Didi passed through the grass, looking at Baba lying on the ground.
Eye contact was made, no words necessary, they both knew what was coming next.
Baba stood up from the ground, and the two little lions charged towards each other at full speed!
Just before colliding, they leapt up from the ground, raised their upper bodies, swung their front paws, and tried to wrap around each other’s necks, aiming to pin down their playmate.
In the split second of collision and wrestling, Baba gained the upper hand!
His left paw rested on Didi’s nape, but Didi quickly and nimbly dipped his head and twisted his neck, slipping out from under Baba’s paw.
Wagging his little tail, he cheerfully ran away.
The pond glittered with ripples under the sunshine, and Pride Rock stood majestically, casting a huge shadow, like a silent giant witnessing the stories of the lions on this savannah.
Liu Wei, watching the little lions play, couldn’t help but grin foolishly, "I love little lions the most!"
Wu Jiancong took a sip of Ice Cake and chuckled, "Yeah, who could resist adorable little lions?"
Zhu Yu, watching the heartwarming scene of the little lions playing, felt relaxed and his mood brightened quite a bit.
Although he was skilled at playing League, he was incredibly hot-tempered; facing all kinds of frustrating situations in the game, he would relentlessly rage.
Typing furiously on the keyboard, sending a flurry of curses and insults, he was known as the Zaun fast-typing gamer!
He didn’t just rage during the game, he also vented afterwards.
It made him think that if one had too much negative energy, coming to see the animals was quite healing indeed.
Gao Kaijin suddenly laughed, "Hey, hey, look at that little lion!"
At that moment, Kaka was sleeping!
Bubu carefully approached Baba, reaching behind Kaka before stopping in his tracks.
Staring at Kaka’s body, he fell into a daze.
What should he do next?
Should he tug on Baba’s tail? Or maybe give it a push? How about jumping onto Baba’s back for a surprise attack?
Kaka, sensing something, suddenly opened his eyes and twisted his head to look back, his yellow pupils fixing on Bubu.
As a father, Kaka was still very gentle!
He lifted his lips slightly and emitted a low rumble from his throat, as if to say, "Little guy, what are you up to?"
Bubu had been preparing to play a prank, but getting such a look from his dad startled him!
He lowered his body and hid behind Kaka, avoiding his gaze.
Pretending not to be noticed, he continued on his sneaky way.
Moving around to Kaka’s head, Kaka’s head turned back, and he looked at Bubu gently from another direction.
He stretched his head forward, eyes widening as he looked down at Bubu to give him a little scare.
Bubu plopped down and lay on his side on the grass!

Looking at his father, he shuffled back fearfully a couple of steps, then quickly opened his mouth and "aowu" vocalized in a milky voice.
Baba, why is your face so big?
Kaka tilted his head toward Bubu, opened his mouth wide and let out a deep, rumbling growl akin to an engine starting.
Roar~~~
Little guy, look at my impressive mane, listen to my deep roar, this is what a majestic adult male lion has! Tell me, are you scared?
Bubu, not to be outdone, tilted his head towards Kaka and "aowu," resuming his milky voice!
It was as if he was saying, "I’m not afraid of you!"
The visitors watching the heartwarming scene of the big and small lions "roaring" at each other couldn’t help but laugh.
Especially a dad who was pushing a stroller with his wife and baby, exchanged a knowing glance with her and smiled tacitly.
He too would make faces at his baby and use little plushies or other toys to amuse the baby.
Looking at Kaka, he suddenly felt a lot more familiar and fond.
The visitors discussed with interest, "The lion daddy is very gentle!"
"This male lion is quite good-tempered; even when the little lion pesters it, it doesn’t get angry and even plays along, another male lion is quite temperamental! Last time I came here, I saw it roar loudly at the little lions, staring and baring its teeth at them, looking mighty scary."
In fact, Qiqi, although a bit stern with the little lions, never really harmed them.
It was, perhaps, another form of fatherly love.
Kaka seemed to be somewhat amused and exasperated by Bubu’s antics, turning his head away to gaze at the sky.
It was as if rolling his eyes like a human!
He was probably thinking, "Children are childish, why do I also become childish."
Then he lay down again, settling in to sleep on his side.
Sleeping is the proper business for an adult male lion.
Bubu nuzzled up to Kaka’s cheek and nudged his nose.
Baba, play with me, will you?
Kaka, with his eyes closed, didn’t pay any attention to Bubu.
So Bubu too curled up his paws, his forehead resting against Kaka’s broad nose, laying together on the grass, enjoying the warm Sunshine and the sense of security his father provided, drifting off into a doze.
What do you think?
