I Play the Horror World as a Simulation Game

Chapter 176: Abnormal behavior, sudden phone call!

"Congratulations, Player, on triggering the role-playing task!"

"Liang Zisu has a capricious personality, making him unpredictable. At certain special moments, he might act against his own will!"

"Due to being scratched by Xiao Hei, Liang Zisu will become extremely irritable. Within five minutes, retaliate against Xiao Hei to complete the role-playing task!"

Upon hearing this role-playing task, Qin Nuo's expression turned strange. He distinctly remembered reading in the notes that Liang Zisu was someone who liked small animals and would never show a vicious side in front of obedient students and children.

Why was he now supposed to take malicious revenge on a cat?

Why act against his own will and force himself to do it?

There was clearly a reason he was unaware of.

With only five minutes for the task, Qin Nuo didn't have time to ponder the reason behind it.

At this moment, Xiaorou and Li Qianqian were carrying Xiao Hei out of the bushes, treating its wounds with some alcohol and gauze on the lawn.

Qin Nuo walked out quietly, his expression calm but with a barely noticeable hint of malice.

"Brother, did Xiao Hei scratch you just now? Do you need a bandage?" Xiaorou asked, holding a bottle of medicine.

"I'm fine," Qin Nuo replied.

As the medicine was applied to the wound, Xiao Hei struggled a bit, baring its teeth as if in pain.

"Hang in there, Xiao Hei, it'll be over soon," Xiaorou said softly, stroking its head.

Li Qianqian struggled to cut with the scissors, so Xiaorou asked Qin Nuo to watch over Xiao Hei while she went to help.

Xiao Hei, sensing the familiar scent of Xiaorou and Li Qianqian on Qin Nuo, let down its guard and even approached him, rubbing its head against his pant leg as if to apologize for scratching him earlier.

Qin Nuo looked at it, his gaze gradually changing, a chill emanating from his eyes.

Xiao Hei sensed Qin Nuo's gaze and grew wary. Before it could react, a hand, sharp as a spear, pierced through its body.

Splat!!

A spray of black blood erupted, and Xiao Hei let out a screech, its eyes blazing with fury as it lunged at Qin Nuo's neck.

Qin Nuo stepped back, dodging, and punched its head, causing the already damaged skull to cave in further.

Xiao Hei howled in pain, collapsing onto the lawn, kicking up dirt, but quickly got back up, its fur bristling, staring intently at Qin Nuo.

Xiaorou and Li Qianqian, hearing the commotion, were shocked and confused by the scene.

"Mr. Liang, what are you doing?"@@novelbin@@

Qin Nuo looked at them, a slight smile on his face. "This cat scratched me, I'm just teaching it a lesson."

With that, he flipped his right hand, revealing a Mountain-Cleaving Knife.

"Teacher, didn't you say you wouldn't mind?" Xiaorou asked.

"I've changed my mind now," Qin Nuo said, staring at Xiao Hei, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Countless black veins crawled up his right hand, paired with his slightly sinister handsome face, scaring Xiaorou and Li Qianqian, who looked at him as if he were a stranger. ṛᴀN𝐨ΒÈṧ

They couldn't understand why Qin Nuo had suddenly changed.

Just two minutes ago, he was gently petting Xiao Hei, and now he was filled with malice towards it.

Qin Nuo himself was also confused.

But since the role-playing task required him to act this way, he had no choice but to comply.

As he moved, Xiaorou quickly shouted, "Xiao Hei, run!"

Xiao Hei, knowing it was no match, hissed venomously at Qin Nuo before turning and darting into the bushes.

Seeing Xiao Hei run, Qin Nuo frowned, appearing displeased. In reality, he had drawn the Mountain-Cleaving Knife to scare Xiao Hei into running. If given a choice, he didn't want to cruelly harm Xiao Hei in front of the two young girls.

Though he thought this, he said indifferently, "What a pity, I haven't tasted wild game in so long, I've almost forgotten what it tastes like."

"Teacher, why are you doing this?" Xiaorou asked, her eyes reddening at Qin Nuo's muttering.

"What's the matter? It's just a stray cat. The life of such a creature isn't worth much. If it's going to die wandering, might as well make a stew out of it," Qin Nuo said casually.

As if describing a most ordinary dish.

Xiaorou's pupils widened, first in disbelief, then in disappointment, as she ran off crying.

Li Qianqian wanted to chase after Xiaorou but stopped, looking at Qin Nuo with a strange gaze. "Teacher, you told me no one is born superior, you..."

"You said it yourself, that's for humans. The life of a beast is the lowest of the low. Human moral standards don't apply to them," Qin Nuo said flatly.

Li Qianqian, not as emotional as Xiaorou, remained calm, staring at Qin Nuo with a peculiar look. "Teacher, you seem like a different person."

"If that's what you think, I guess your words don't mean much to me."

With that, Li Qianqian turned and left.

Qin Nuo rubbed his nose, shaking his head helplessly.

"My words just shattered the innocence of two kids."

They didn't understand, and Qin Nuo himself didn't understand.

Why did Liang Zisu's attitude change so drastically?

For what reason, or due to what?

These were questions Qin Nuo had noticed before.

In the notes, it seemed Liang Zisu's girlfriend had met with some accident, and every word expressed love and longing for her.

But why then spy on the female neighbor teacher next door?

"Ding, congratulations, Player, on completing the role-playing task, achieving 9% role-playing degree!"

As Qin Nuo pondered, the game's notification sounded.

"Never mind, as long as the role-playing is successful, it's just a role, like a passerby. Once the role-playing degree is achieved, it has nothing to do with me."

Putting aside thoughts of Liang Zisu's puzzling behavior, Qin Nuo checked the time. It was about time for Liang Zisu to return for a nap.

Glancing at the bushes, Qin Nuo didn't think much more and turned to leave.

Back in the dormitory, Qin Nuo changed clothes, wiped himself with a towel, and turned on the old fan, letting the cool breeze dispel the frustration in his heart.

On the balcony, a parrot hopped on a dry branch, bobbing its head as it watched Qin Nuo, seemingly wanting to say something.

Qin Nuo glared at it. "Shut up, or I'll stew you!"

The parrot actually fell silent, hopping to the other side of the branch to drink some water.

As Qin Nuo stared at the parrot, momentarily lost in thought, his phone suddenly rang.

It was Liang Zisu's phone.

Qin Nuo was a bit surprised, picking up the phone to see an unfamiliar number.

He had previously checked Liang Zisu's phone, and all contact apps were empty, even the call log.

It was as if he was an extremely introverted person, living only in his own world, isolated from everyone.

But at school, Liang Zisu was clearly sociable, familiar with almost all the teachers.

How could such a person have an empty contact list?

Not even his parents' numbers in the photo frame.

Now, with a call coming in, Qin Nuo was surprised and intrigued. Whoever could call must have a special relationship, perhaps allowing him to understand a deeper side of Liang Zisu.

He pressed to answer, and a polite female voice came through the phone, "Hello, is this Mr. Liang?"
