I Play the Horror World as a Simulation Game

Chapter 184: Unsweetened coffee, parents are coming!

Qin Nuo glanced at the clock on the wall; it was nearing four in the morning. He thought to himself that, after all, it was someone else's body, and he needed to rest.

The role-playing task lasted 48 hours, two days, so there was no need to rush. Often, rushing would only mess up the current progress.

Although the fact that Liang Zisu didn't have a mental illness threw Qin Nuo off his rhythm, he still had a chance to uncover Liang Zisu's identity by following some clues he had found.

"Whatever it is, let's talk about it tomorrow."

He put the photo back in its place, brushed his teeth, and lay down on the bed. As soon as the lights went out, drowsiness washed over him, and his heavy eyelids gradually closed.

The night passed without incident.

At six-thirty in the morning, the ancient bell on campus rang. Qin Nuo, who had developed a biological alarm clock, woke up right on time. However, his eyelids felt a bit sore, and he was still very sleepy. Clearly, he hadn't slept enough. The role he was playing was just too realistic.

Dragging his body, he got dressed, tidied up his appearance, and left the room.

Coincidentally, the door next to his, Qiu Tong's, also opened. She was still in her pajamas, the thin fabric barely concealing her graceful figure and delicate, fair skin.

She placed a bag of trash at the door, smiled, and greeted Qin Nuo. But upon noticing his wandering gaze, her expression became awkward.

Qin Nuo coughed awkwardly as well.@@novelbin@@

It was only natural for a man.

Qin Nuo admitted that Qiu Tong's figure did catch his eye, but he was more concerned about the trash in her hand. The brownish-yellow liquid in the bag was unsettling.

"It looks like vomit. Did her so-called boyfriend throw up?"

As he thought about it, he returned the greeting to ease the awkwardness.

Qiu Tong placed the trash aside, took out a tissue to wipe her slender hands, and asked, "Mr. Liang, I'm not feeling well today. Could you help me take a day off?"

Qin Nuo nodded and asked, "Is it serious?"

"It's nothing, just a slight cold. A day's rest should do."

She didn't want to chat much with Qin Nuo, so after a few perfunctory words, she closed the door.

"A cold is just an excuse. Who knows what she's really up to?" Qin Nuo muttered a couple of sentences and didn't dwell on it further. He turned and went downstairs.

Back at school, Qin Nuo lingered around the campus for a while.

In one corner of the campus, the biological garden had been the site of a fierce fight last night. The damage was everywhere, but by daylight, there wasn't a trace of it left.

The scattered and broken mannequin stands had also vanished without a trace.

Qin Nuo observed this silently and headed upstairs.

The office was still cold and empty. Qin Nuo sat down at his desk, and a chill crept over him. Then came the voice of the female teacher from yesterday: "Mr. Liang, you don't look well today."

"I made a cup of coffee for you. You should try it."

A cup of coffee was placed on the desk.

Qin Nuo glanced at the coffee, said thank you, but didn't pick it up. The chill lingered around him, as if she wouldn't leave until he drank it.

With no other choice, Qin Nuo picked it up and took a small sip. The unsweetened coffee was so bitter that his tongue felt numb.

Qin Nuo's face subtly wrinkled. He didn't like things that were too sweet or too bitter.

"How is it? Does it taste good?" The female teacher's voice was full of anticipation.

"It's quite good. How did you know I like bitter coffee?" Qin Nuo asked deliberately, recalling that Liang Zisu often ordered unsweetened coffee.

"I noticed it from observing you," the female teacher said happily, as if she had been praised.

"Mr. Liang, there are two parents here to see you today. Please be aware."

Qin Nuo opened his textbook, taking notes on the computer while asking, "Why are they looking for me?"

"It seems to be about yesterday's incident. They don't look very friendly," the female teacher replied.

Qin Nuo blinked. Could it be that the kids he dealt with yesterday had complained to their parents, and now they were here to demand an explanation?

In this school, where even the principal's identity was unknown, who could they possibly complain to?

"Alright, I got it," Qin Nuo nodded.

The female teacher asked, "Do you need me to help you handle it?"

Her face seemed to be right next to his shoulder, and a chill crept into his ear. Qin Nuo subtly shifted his position and politely responded, "No need to trouble yourself." Ṝ𝐚ɴՕBĘꞨ

After a few more exchanges, the bell for class rang. Qin Nuo picked up his textbook, finally getting a chance to escape.

Back in Class One, the students were much more well-behaved this time. There were no little gifts of affection from the students on the podium, a result of Qin Nuo's friendly guidance from the day before.

Of course, Qin Nuo knew this was only for him. Other teachers didn't receive the same treatment.

As he stepped onto the podium, the students stood up in unison to greet him. Qin Nuo nodded slightly, opened his new thermos, took a sip of tea, and left the lid off, placing it on the desk.

The students stared at the thermos, sitting quietly.

It was both a challenge and a warning. If there were still a couple of troublemakers in the class, he would continue to guide them kindly.

"Hopefully, you haven't forgotten what I taught yesterday. I'll write a few problems, and I'll call on a few students to solve them. If you do well, there'll be candy. If not, no worries, just a little punishment to help you remember next time," Qin Nuo said with a smile, leaning on the desk, then turned to the blackboard.

The classroom was silent, except for the clear sound of chalk tapping on the board.

The students' eyes were all on the thermos, each one shrinking back, not daring to move. Even though Qin Nuo had his back to them, it felt like there were eyes on the back of his head, staring right at them.

Halfway through the class, all the students were busy writing from memory. Qin Nuo stood on the podium, arms crossed, holding a long ruler.

Taking advantage of the moment, he scanned the room. There were fifty-four students in Class One, but among them, Qin Nuo couldn't find the kids like Atu from last night.

"Did they lie, or are they not students from this year?"

Time ticked by, and soon it was time for the class to end. Qin Nuo clapped his hands, gathered his textbooks, and said, "Everyone behaved well today, no mischievous ones. I hope you can keep it up tomorrow. Class dismissed."

Qin Nuo tucked his textbook under his arm, picked up his thermos, and left the classroom.

Back in the office, he placed the textbook aside and turned on the computer. He planned to check the records of past students in Class One, hoping to find information about Atu and the other kids.

Perhaps due to drinking too much tea, he felt a strong urge and headed to the restroom.

Coming out of the stall, Qin Nuo washed his hands at the sink, looking at Liang Zisu in the mirror. His features were quite regular, giving off a friendly vibe even without a smile.

Thinking of the sinister, deranged smile of Liang Zisu in the photo, Qin Nuo tried to mimic it but couldn't quite capture the same feeling.

"Seems like I'm not fully in character yet."

Shaking the water off his hands, Qin Nuo left the restroom, only to find a man and a woman blocking the doorway.

As he stepped out, they didn't move aside. Their faces were ashen, like the rigid expressions of the dead, and their piercing gaze sent a chill down his spine.

"Is there something you need?" Qin Nuo asked calmly, looking up.

The man spoke, his voice like a cold wind that could freeze one's ears: "We are Tang Xiaolong's parents..."
