Chapter 187: Stage performance, role immersion!
"Who are you, mister?"
Facing the reaction of the children, Qin Nuo was momentarily taken aback but quickly regained his composure and smiled, "I'm a teacher at this school. You can call me Mr. Liang."
"Couldn't sleep at night, so I came here for a stroll."
Curses have all sorts of bizarre abilities. Qin Nuo had seen a curse that tormented through reincarnation, refreshing memories, so he wasn't too surprised.
They were trapped here, repeating the same scenario every day, which meant there might be something in this scenario that the mysterious principal wanted to see.
"Oh, you're a teacher? Perfect! We're rehearsing a play today, and you can be our audience," Tang Rou said, her face lighting up with a sweet smile.
"Of course, I have plenty of free time," Qin Nuo replied. Dafu looked around, a bit annoyed, and said, "Is Yanan coming or not? Is he doing this on purpose?"
Just as he finished speaking, the door opened, and Atu trotted out, scratching his head with a silly grin, "Hey everyone, I'm late."
"What are you doing here? We said there's no role for you."
Atu's head drooped slightly, "I know, but Yanan couldn't make it, so he gave me his part."Tang Rou furrowed her brows, a bit displeased, "Why does he have so much going on every day?"
"I don't know. He's been acting mysterious these days. He said to give me his part and then left," Atu explained.
Then, with a pleading tone, he added, "I'll act well for sure. Please give me some lines!"
Dafu pursed his lips, and Tang Rou had no choice but to say, "Alright, there's no one else anyway."
Hearing this, Atu grinned widely.
Casually, the children began to try out the script lines. Tang Rou also took her script and sat next to Qin Nuo, fully engrossed in it.
Qin Nuo looked at her and asked casually, "Do you like acting?"
"Of course, I'm going to be a big star in the future," Tang Rou said confidently, raising her chin.
"I even founded this club myself, and I carefully selected all the members."
Qin Nuo nodded, habitually taking off his glasses to wipe them, and asked nonchalantly, "Do your family support you?"
Tang Rou's eyes dimmed slightly, "My parents passed away early. It's just my grandpa raising me."
"My grandpa is also a teacher. He worked himself to exhaustion to raise me. When I grow up and have money, I'll definitely buy a villa so he can live comfortably," Tang Rou said firmly while looking at the script. Р𝐚ŊՕʙƐS
"It will come true," Qin Nuo nodded, not saying much more.
Soon, the lines were rehearsed, and Tang Rou and the other children took the stage to start the rehearsal.
The play had some changes compared to yesterday, but it still revolved around a broken family, with the overall plot remaining the same.
Today's play was divided into two parts, two different stories. After the first part, Atu's performance was still the best.
When it came to the second part, the children were troubled, "There's a role missing, and Yanan isn't here. Who will play it?"
Their eyes all fell on Qin Nuo, the only audience member.
"Teacher, can we ask you to play this role?"
Qin Nuo had anticipated this. It seemed like every play had a missing role for him to fill in as the audience.
"What kind of role? Just so you know, my acting is terrible, and everything I do is awkward," Qin Nuo repeated the lines from yesterday.
"No worries, it's a simple role. You play the father, whose relationship with his wife has broken down. You sit in the corner with a newspaper, sulking, with almost no lines. It's easy," Tang Rou said with a smile.
"Li Tong?" Qin Nuo's expression showed a trace of surprise as he thought of the name.
After a moment of contemplation, Qin Nuo nodded and went on stage. Agai brought a chair for him to sit on and handed him a newspaper.
Qin Nuo never imagined he would play Li Tong one day. He opened the newspaper, crossed his legs, and sat in the corner without any other movements.
Yesterday, he was criticized for moving while playing a corpse, so he didn't want to be criticized again.
Lowering the newspaper, Qin Nuo watched the children's actions. The lights around him went out, leaving only a spotlight on the stage.
Sitting in the corner, Qin Nuo was instantly swallowed by darkness.
The spotlight fell on the actors with lines. Tang Rou played the mother, Atu, Dafu, and Agai played the children.
According to the roles, Atu played Li Xiaodie, Dafu played Li Xiaodong, and Agai played Li Xiaoming.
Mo Fang's control over Li Xiaoming was absolute. Beneath the cold yet gentle exterior lay a twisted heart, and Tang Rou portrayed these emotions very well.
Dafu and Atu's acting was also on point, but Agai's portrayal of Li Xiaoming had many flaws.
Perhaps because he had played this role before, Qin Nuo had a clear understanding of it.
The play had been going on for over ten minutes, with Tang Rou and the children performing intensely, while Qin Nuo's father role sat in the corner, seemingly disconnected from the play.
The spotlight never once shone on Qin Nuo.
"Another 'dead' role," Qin Nuo thought to himself.
"Hehehe..."
A sickly laugh came from Atu, who was holding a ragged doll with a silly smile on his face.
Qin Nuo looked at him, his heart skipping a beat. Even though their personalities were different, he felt like he was facing Li Xiaodie.
An inexplicable horror.
He worried that if Atu spoke, he would be in for bad luck and unexpected trouble.
Watching Atu's vivid performance under the spotlight, Qin Nuo's eyebrows twitched as if he had discovered something, and his eyes narrowed slightly...
A scene quickly ended, and the spotlight suddenly went out.
Instantly, the entire dance room plunged into darkness.
Qin Nuo felt the air gradually turn cold. Just as he was thinking of stretching, the spotlight turned on again, shining on his position.
Tang Rou emerged from the darkness, sitting beside Qin Nuo, her face still cold, her crimson lips curving into a slight smile, "You've been looking for that woman?"@@novelbin@@
"What will you do when you find her? Kill me and live with her?"
Qin Nuo blinked, his gaze fixed on the newspaper, remaining silent. He remembered he had no lines in this part.
Tang Rou stood up, walked behind Qin Nuo, and gently wrapped her arms around his neck.
The touch was bone-chilling, and Tang Rou's body felt light, as if it had no weight as she leaned on Qin Nuo.
"You don't need to answer; I know your answer. I've never regretted it; everything was for my child."
"I may not be a good woman, but I'll do everything to be a good mother."
The childish voice, paired with adult lines, made Qin Nuo's expression strange. Could a child really come up with such a plot?
As she spoke, Tang Rou gently released Qin Nuo and continued speaking to herself, "Since you long to see her, I'll take you to her, fulfill your wish, and never interfere with me and my child's life again."
See?
The person was dismembered and embedded in the wall. How could she take me to see?
Qin Nuo was puzzled.
As she finished speaking, a dagger appeared in Tang Rou's hand, and she brought it around Qin Nuo's neck, the icy blade slicing across his throat...
What do you think?
