Chapter 208: Reverse questioning, a bit painful!
"I've finished writing it, take a look."
Dafu organized the manuscript and handed it over.
Qin Nuo glanced at it, placed it back on the table, and said, "It's pretty good, but that's just my opinion. We still need to see what Sister Tang Rou thinks."
"Right." Dafu put the manuscript back into his small backpack.
Watching his actions, Qin Nuo asked with his hands in his pockets, "Dafu, last night you said you were taking Mo Ting somewhere. Can you tell me where?"
Dafu's expression turned blank, looking at Qin Nuo with confusion, "You said Mo Ting? Where was I going to take her?"
"Don't you remember?" Qin Nuo looked into Dafu's eyes, "You said it yourself last night. It hasn't been that long."
Dafu's expression stiffened, his eyes looking strangely at Qin Nuo.
Ignoring that look, Qin Nuo sat on the table and continued, "I suddenly can't remember, Dafu, when did we meet?"
"When did you join the Performing Arts Department?""You should remember, right? Can you tell me?"
In the room, as Qin Nuo spoke, the seemingly calm atmosphere suddenly turned eerie.
The Blood-Eyed Ghost frowned, "Did your brain short-circuit? Asking like this is basically exposing yourself. Even a fool can see you're not Qin Feng!"
Qin Nuo ignored the Blood-Eyed Ghost, staring directly at Dafu, his face calm with a faint smile.
Dafu seemed to reassess Qin Nuo with new eyes, saying, "You're acting strange today. Why are you asking these questions?"
"Strange, right? I think it's strange too."
"The Dafu I know isn't like this," Qin Nuo said.
Dafu retorted, "Then what is he like?"
"For example, like now."
Qin Nuo pointed to his own head and said, "If you find me suspicious, there should be signs of ghostification on you, right? Why is there no change at all?"
Dafu shook his head, "The more I listen, the more confused I get. My mind's a bit jumbled. Why don't you step out and let me calm down?"
"Of course."
Qin Nuo shrugged, turned to walk towards the door, and as he grasped the doorknob, he suddenly turned around, flinging a bone nail with his left hand.
Dafu leaped up, clinging to the ceiling like a spider, dodging the bone nail and swiftly lunging at Qin Nuo.
Qin Nuo raised his right hand, immediately gripping Dafu's throat. Before he could make another move, dense red veins emerged from the back of his neck, piercing into his flesh.
His face contorted, like a piece of kneaded clay, as he threw a punch at Qin Nuo.
Qin Nuo tilted his head to dodge, but in the next second, he saw the flesh of Dafu's hand tear open, and those worm-like red veins instantly burrowed into Qin Nuo's shoulder.
Crack!!
At the same time, the Blood-Eyed Ghost exerted force with its five fingers, crushing Dafu's throat with a crisp shattering sound, as if made of porcelain.
With a flick of the hand, Dafu flew sideways, crashing into the wall.
Rip!!
Qin Nuo's face twitched as he saw the red veins piercing his skin, burrowing into the wound like parasites.
Over there, Dafu stood up again, his head tilting awkwardly like a broken part. He held his head with both hands, trying to straighten it, but when he let go, it tilted again.
Abandoning this flaw, he turned towards Qin Nuo, the red veins crisscrossing his body, the sound of tearing incessant, charging once more.
"Tsk, what a disgusting thing."
The Blood-Eyed Ghost appeared impatient, tearing open a blood-red eye on its corpse-spotted right arm, shooting out a layer of red light.
The red light pierced through Dafu, and the paper figure at the back of his neck was forcibly extracted by a domineering ghost power.
The dense red veins were forcibly severed, and the paper figure was instantly crushed into powder.
With the paper figure extracted, the lifeless Dafu collapsed to the ground, his flesh rotting and falling off, turning into a puppet doll, its neck already crushed.
Meanwhile, Qin Nuo felt the pain from his right shoulder, unable to suppress a painful groan as he looked at the continuously bleeding shoulder, the movement beneath the skin clearly visible.
"That thing is gnawing at my flesh inside. If this continues, won't my internal organs be eaten away?"
Qin Nuo had this horrifying thought.
The Blood-Eyed Ghost said, "I'll help you force it out, but it might hurt a little."
"Just a little?"
"A billion little."
Before Qin Nuo could respond, he saw the black veins on his right hand crawling over his skin, quickly burrowing into the wound on his right shoulder. Soon, the entire right shoulder's flesh was writhing.
Since the right shoulder was no longer a parasitic area, as the black veins burrowed in, patches of corpse spots appeared on it.
The terrifying pain instantly assaulted his entire nervous system, and Qin Nuo was drenched in sweat, grabbing a towel to bite down on to prevent his screams from alerting the boss downstairs.
He didn't know how long it took, perhaps his nerves were numbed, or maybe it was finished.
The black veins emerged, returning to the parasitic right arm.
Qin Nuo lay on the ground, gasping for breath, looking as if he was about to collapse.
"It's resolved. Just bandage it with your bandage, and it'll be fine," the Blood-Eyed Ghost said.
"I really believed your nonsense."
Qin Nuo stood up, took out a medical kit, and bandaged the wound with gauze. In a few breaths, the seemingly severe wound healed without a trace.
Qin Nuo, looking a bit pale, stood up and walked over, looking at the shattered puppet doll on the ground.
The Blood-Eyed Ghost asked, "How did you know this Dafu was fake?"
"I suspected it yesterday." Qin Nuo picked up the shattered head, the puppet's face painted with human features, looking quite horrifying.
"Not only were his actions strange, but after his own father injured the back of his head, last night's Dafu had no scars on the back of his head, while this one clearly has."
"I deliberately exposed some issues to verify this suspicion. It didn't ghostify, and my mind didn't indicate a decrease in performance level, which means this isn't Dafu."
Qin Nuo smiled slightly, "This is called making reasonable use of game rules to complete the game progress."
"Alright, I actually noticed it too. The flaw was too obvious," the Blood-Eyed Ghost said nonchalantly.
Qin Nuo didn't care about the Blood-Eyed Ghost's pride, looking at the puppet head in his hand, murmuring, "I just didn't expect these paper figures could use puppets to mimic people around us. These paper figures have quite a few abilities."
As he spoke, he casually tossed it away.
The puppet head rolled under the bed, its face wobbling as it looked at Qin Nuo...
What do you think?
