Chapter 53: Chapter 53 Approximately Three Hundred Lesser Versions Chapter 53: Chapter 53 Approximately Three Hundred Lesser Versions “Upstairs furniture has a budget version, I’m a member, I can help you place an order.” Xiao Jinghan seriously talked nonsense.
Ye Weiwei puffed her cheeks, slightly dubious, “Even the budget version is expensive, right?”
“Not expensive, around $1,000. You can afford it.” Jinghan said.
Just as Weiwei was about to ask further, Little Baozi winked frantically at her, “Mommy, my daddy never deceives women. You should trust him!”
“Okay.” Ye Weiwei nodded and temporarily believed Xiao Jinghan.
That way, Ye Weiwei and her daughter followed Xiao Jinghan and his son up to the third floor.
The third floor was peculiarly empty except for the Salesperson. As Weiwei walked, she wondered: This floor’s furniture must be extremely expensive, otherwise why would there be no customers?
With curiosity, Ye Weiwei sneakily glanced at the price tag on a sofa.
Brown leather sofa, a set for only $3,000.
Not expensive at all, why isn’t anyone buying it?
Weiwei couldn’t figure it out.
“Want a sofa?” Xiao Jinghan saw Weiwei’s gaze lingering on the sofa and asked quietly.
Weiwei shook her head, “No, just looking.”
“This sofa set has a flawed version, should be around $300.” Jinghan said.
“What?” Weiwei was shocked, “A flawed version for about $300? Jinghan, are you kidding me?”
With current prices in North City, $300 could only buy a second-hand fabric sofa. Leather ones, unless the owner’s brain got caught in a door.
“Don’t believe it? Ask.” Jinghan said coolly after putting down Little Baozi.
To prove that the store owner was sane, Weiwei put down the little girl and, smiling, approached the Salesperson.
“Miss, do you have a flawed version of this sofa?” Weiwei asked.
The Salesperson bowed respectfully, then glanced at Jinghan subtly and answered, “Yes, there’s one in off-white, disliked for being too white. The boss said to sell it for $300. Are you interested, miss?”
“$300?” Weiwei’s jaw almost dropped.
This boss really isn’t worried about money.
“There’s only this one set, and the boss said if no one wants it, it’ll be thrown into the garbage processing plant by tomorrow, to stop it from bothering his sight,” the Salesperson said, shaking her head. “Such a fine sofa set. If we weren’t barred from buying our store’s discounted products, I would have bought it myself. Miss, would you consider buying it?”
Buy it? Of course, yes!
Weiwei quickly nodded.
“That’s great, our poor sofa finally found its owner. I finally made a sale,” the Salesperson, as if afraid Weiwei might back out, grabbed her hand, “Thank you, miss, thank you!”
Weiwei never doubted the Salesperson; plunged into the joy of snagging a cheap sofa, she quickly went to the cashier to pay and confirm the delivery time.
With the sofa secured, the home still needed larger items like beds.
Weiwei followed Jinghan, finding that even beds were heavily discounted.
There was a six-foot king bed ridiculously marked down to $9.99 on a flash sale.
Practical Weiwei, of course, took the deal.
Thus, in the end, Ye Weiwei spent less than $1,000 on crucial furniture like sofas, beds, TV stands, and dining tables.
She looked at the delivery slips, her mood as lovely as the March sunshine.
“Mommy, we’re so lucky today,” the little girl, seeing her mom happy, also happily jumped up.
“Yes. Today was indeed our lucky day. With $4,000 left in the budget, Mommy can buy you a TV and a fridge.” Ye Weiwei snapped her fingers, all the joy apparent on her face.
What do you think?
