For the toast, I was told that it could be something really simple, so I kept it safe by expressing my gratitude for the party held in my honor. Since I was on the receiving end of the surprise and didn’t know the details, I just mentioned that I hoped everyone would enjoy themselves before leading the toast.

As the party started, the first person scheduled to give a present, Shiro-san, appeared in front of me.
