Chapter 232 Telford Aizenwald: Star Knight of the Emperor
The Skeleton General gazed at Arthur with great shock.
"The Silent Killing Form...only the Emperor can..."
"Who...are you?" The flames in his eye sockets became thinner as he questioned Arthur with suspicion.
Arthur inhaled and then exhaled as he pointed the sword at the Skeleton General.
"Rather than speak of my identity..." Arthur began to speak calmly but from the first few words he said, the skeleton general already had a terrifying thought that arose in his heart.
'No, those words...it can't...'
"...I am more used to speaking with my sword."
'it can't be him...'
"In the beginning men survived in the Primordial Age against predators not by announcing their identity but by using their wits and fists and eventually...their sword."
'Is it really?'
"This sword move of mine. Only I know it, and only I can wield it. Because..."
'Only you are worthy...' The Skeleton General completed the sentence in his mind.
"...only I am worthy. If I release this sword, even ashes will not be left of you."
Arthur's solemn gaze eased, "Do you see, Telford?"
At this moment, a faint figure of an Emperor emerged from Arthur's shadow and stood domineering looking at the skeleton general.
'It really is you...'
*Thud!*
The Skeleton General went on his knees and then.
"I Telford Aizenwald, Star Knight of the Great Emperor greet my esteemed Lord!"
*Bang!*
"My Lord! This knight welcomes you!" Telford banged his head on the ground as he bowed.
Arthur smiled and stopped the activation of the sword technique. He looked calm but in his heart.
'Glad I was able to learn this technique in time. This makes things a lot easier.

In the quiet aftermath of Arthur's revelation, the skeletal guardian, Telford, bowed with a reverence that had never ceased from his heart.
Arthur, his expression serene, walked toward Telford and extended a hand to help the skeletal figure rise.
"You've done well, Telford," Arthur commended, his voice carrying a tone of reminisce.
He hadn't shown it but the awakening of his past memories has somewhat affected his state of mind and he had begun to feel some lingering loneliness.
But he swiftly dealt with it.
But seeing the figure of one of his most loyal brothers of the last reduced to mere bones.
He couldn't help but feel stirred up in his heart.
Telford, still in a kneeling position, looked up, his eye sockets gleaming with an ethereal light. "It is but my duty, Emperor."
With Arthur's assistance, Telford stood, the clattering of ancient bones resonating in the tomb. "I never expected to meet you again," Telford admitted, a sense of wonder in his voice.
He never once imagined he would meet the Emperor once more as he only thought that he would see to it that the legacy of the Emperor is received by a worthy successor.
"Even I didn't forsee this," Arthur sighed.
"There were many perilous moments but I had managed to overcome them and seized the opportunity to reincarnate," Arthur lightly said.
But Telford could imagine how dangerous it must have been and he wished he had been there to fight alongside his king against any enemies no matter who they are.
"My Lord, I am glad to see you one more time. Now that you are here, what happens now?" Telford asked. @@novelbin@@
Arthur, his eyes reflecting the complexities of fragmented memories, responded, "My memories are incomplete. I can recall until the time I first left the Mortal Emperor Realm to face an external threat. But after that, nothing else."
Arthur then inquired, "What transpired after that?"
And thus, Telford began to narrate the tale of how Arthur returned after a hundred years—the era that unfolded after Arthur's mysterious departure.
The Emperor's return, the establishment of the Emperor Academy, the bequeathing of his inheritance, and the prophetic words of the rise of another Emperor.
Arthur listened with a mixture of emotions, and a lot of thoughts on his mind.
As Arthur listened, he contemplated what he could do with this discovery.
The Emperor Academy plan was a brilliant one. This meant that he already had a force under him and one that is one of the most powerful and mysterious forces in the current times of the central continent.
Arthur mentally commended his foresight to creating such a force that awaited his return with the promise of another Emperor.
'But after all these years, will their hearts remain true to the purpose I assigned?' Arthur wondered.
As the dialogue between Arthur and Telford unfolded, his curiosity extended to the changes in the world outside the tomb.
"After those times, I am aware that another Realm War occured and it led to the splitting of the land into five great continents and many small islands. What happened during those times?" Arthur asked.
He had always wondered what evil had descended on the world as based on his research on history it was clear to him that there is a lot of missing information which is pointing to the fact that there was probably an invasion of a powerful enemy.
With a gentle inquiry, Arthur probed into the events that led to the division of the land into five continents.
Telford, recounted the details, revealing that he had entered a slumber to preserve his life force.
"My Lord, when you brought me here, you erected and barrier that no one could break through and gave me this," Telford pointed to the necklace on his chest that glowed with a dim blue light.
"This was to preserve my life force to wait for this moment. So I couldn't have known anything but I did sense the barrier you made greatly weaken at some point. I believe this must be when the earth shattering battle took place."
"I see," Arthur nodded in understanding.
"My Lord, my wish to see you one more time is fulfilled. My life force won't last for more than a few years but within this time please let me stand by your side once more!" Telford hit his breastplate with his right hand.
*Bang!*
Arthur smiled and then reassured him, "Do not worry, Telford. I may have a way to aid you in preserving your existence."
Excitement flickered in Telford's ethereal eyes. "I believe in you, Emperor. It would be an honor to serve you once again."
With Telford leading the way, Arthur traversed deeper into the tomb, entering a chamber where he had sealed his inheritance.
Although he hasn't awakened this part of his memories, he felt farmiliar with the design of the whole.
'Looks like something that version of me would do,' he thought.
Telford explained that the key to unlock this treasure remained a mystery, awaiting the one destined to inherit it.
"Back then all you said was the next sovereign will know what to do."
Arthur felt enlightened when he heard that.
"The next sovereign huh...I see."
As Arthur stepped into the chamber, a peculiar sight met his eyes—a hole in the space, resonating with an aura akin to the sovereign star.
"I know what the key is now."
What do you think?
