Chapter 36: Not Double Blessings, But Fourfold Joy!
“What I want?” Zhang Sanfeng’s voice boomed across the plaza as his aura radiated immense power.
“You injured six of my disciples, and now you ask what I want?” His gaze pierced Pu Zhi, the words as sharp as a blade. “Your schemes, Pu Zhi, are far too shallow!”
Zhang Sanfeng fully understood Pu Zhi’s intentions—he was gambling that Zhang Sanfeng would hesitate to kill him in front of the martial world.
“Master Zhang, I am at your mercy,” Pu Zhi said with a deep breath, closing his eyes in resignation. He had no other option but to stake everything on Zhang Sanfeng’s forbearance.
“Very well,” Zhang Sanfeng said with a faint smile.
“Since you insist, you’ll remain here on Mount Wudang for ten years, tending to our grounds as penance!”
As he spoke, Zhang Sanfeng raised a hand, unleashing a surge of spiritual energy into Pu Zhi’s body.
“My inner strength!” Pu Zhi gasped in horror.
“My power—it’s gone!”
The spiritual energy coursing through him had completely suppressed his qi. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t activate it.
For a martial artist of his calibre, this was a fate worse than death.
“Amitabha,” Abbot Kongwen stepped forward hesitantly.
“Master Zhang, Pu Zhi is one of Shaolin’s revered monks. I humbly ask that you reconsider his punishment, for the sake of the bond between Shaolin and Wudang.”
Kongwen’s voice trembled slightly, his fear evident. He understood that Pu Zhi’s actions were partly his fault, and if Zhang Sanfeng turned his anger toward him, he wouldn’t survive.
“Do you find my punishment unjust?” Zhang Sanfeng asked sharply, his gaze snapping to Kongwen.
The air grew heavy with an invisible pressure. Kongwen’s heart raced as though it might burst from his chest.
“N-no, of course not,” Kongwen stammered. “Master Zhang’s wisdom and judgment are beyond reproach. Shaolin accepts this decision.”
Kongwen bowed deeply, surrendering to Zhang Sanfeng’s overwhelming presence.

Zhang Sanfeng’s stern expression softened as his gaze turned to his disciples. He descended gracefully, stopping before Zhang Cuishan.
“Disciple Zhang Cuishan greets Master!” Zhang Cuishan exclaimed, dropping to his knees and bowing deeply.
Zhang Sanfeng smiled warmly, his joy evident. “Good, good! You’ve returned—that’s all that matters.”
“No one can harm you as long as I am here,” Zhang Sanfeng declared, his tone resolute.
“Congratulations to Master for gaining an immortal inheritance!”
“Congratulations to Master for stepping onto the path of immortality!”
The Wudang disciples, including Song Yuanqiao and Yin Liting, knelt in unison to express their heartfelt congratulations.
“Good! Good!” Zhang Sanfeng said, beaming. “All of you, rise.”
With a casual wave of his hand, an unseen force gently lifted the disciples to their feet.
“Today is my birthday,” Zhang Sanfeng said, addressing Song Yuanqiao. “As Wudang’s leader, I leave it to you to entertain our guests from Jianghu.”
Song Yuanqiao bowed respectfully. “Understood, Master.”
The martial artists in the plaza quickly echoed their own sentiments.
“Congratulations to Master Zhang for achieving immortality!”
“Double blessings for Wudang—truly a joyous occasion!” @@novelbin@@
Those who had come with malicious intent now chose their words carefully. Even thoughts of confronting Zhang Cuishan about Xie Xun faded as it became clear that Zhang Sanfeng’s newfound power rendered resistance futile.

“Double blessings?” Zhang Sanfeng chuckled softly.
“No, today is a day of fourfold joy for Wudang!”
He turned to Yu Lianzhou and gave a simple instruction.
“Bring your Third Brother here.”
What do you think?
