Chapter 220 Allow Him To Fight In Yggdrasil!?
After a brief pause, Cassius said, "Very well. And Flora… Do not betray my faith in you. If you lied to me about any of this to get back at Grace for reasons I don't care about, I'll simply have to—kill you."
Even if he was almost positive this stylish girl and the meek Angel were indeed related, he knew how messy a family could get. If things really came down to it, family members could stab each other in the back—the worst kind of betrayal.
Nonetheless, when those final words left Cassius's mouth, the inside of the train all of a sudden turned dark. Then, with the screeching of the train's brakes, light returned.
But the shadowy cloaked man had mysteriously… disappeared.
Flora struggled to budge from her spot for the next ten minutes, with her thoughts still filled with Cassius's threats. And then there was the way he looked at her… Oh, that look! It was so… it was so… f*cking hot…! Stay tuned with My Virtual Library Empire
Creepy, perverted laughter bounced off the thin metal walls of the train. And it also just so happened that a purple-haired beauty was experiencing something similar from a few hundred miles away…
Yet, there was one more. Someone, who less than a few hours ago, was reduced to a mere husk of the person she once was. Now, however…
"My Husband! Mhm!! My Husband~!!!"
Bella was rolling around on her large velvety bed in Nightingale. Her lips were curved up eerily, yet her beauty still remained unmatched. No matter how mentally insane she became, that fact never changed.
During the first couple of hours following Cassius's mysterious departure, she had been lifelessly meandering around in her own thoughts. Moreover, outwardly, she was unmoving.
However…
Once a certain amount of time passed, Bella just seemed to—snap—
She moved once more, wiped away her dried-up tears, and then began flicking her bean off to one of the countless pictures of Cassius that she kept stapled on every part of her room. Though, once she realized that such mediocre methods of self-pleasure were far from satisfactory, she quit horsing around and began devising a plan to win her Husband back.
Although Bella understood more than anyone else how she screwed up, that in no way meant she was ready to give up! Her hubby was her light; he was the stars in the night sky!
There was simply no possible way she'd give up so easily!!
Her love was boundless—and her insanity even more so!!!
"I know what I must do!" Bella suddenly exclaimed, then immediately bolted out of her suspiciously drenched room.
Once she made it in front of a pair of large, Gothic-style doors, she barged in. The first people she saw were her silver-haired father, with her s*xy mother sitting on the side of his throne. She was combing his soft hair with her hands before her daughter appeared, but, much to Alaric's dismay, she almost instantaneously retracted her hand.
Bella rushed past the motionless black-armored guards standing on both sides of the throne room. In an instant, she was already honing her pleading eyes on her father.
"Please…!? Pwetty, pweety, please! With a cherry on top!??"
Alaric blankly stared at his daughter. They both knew full well what was being asked of him here. But no—he wouldn't do it.
Under no circumstances would he allow something so disgraceful to occur in his noble Duke Family—!
"Won't you at least consider hearing her reasoning, my dear?"
Carmilla's charming voice instantly silenced whatever the Vampire Duke was going to say. His awkwardly opened mouth closed, then his brows furrowed. He deliberated this matter very seriously, but under the puppy dog eyes of his precious daughter as well as the striking red eyes of his wife, he folded.
"Fine…" He sighed. "You may speak."
Bella's vortex-like irises swirled radiantly. "Well, Daddy, first, I want to be allowed to go back to Earth—!"
"Denied."
"Dear…"
Alaric's expression contorted rather difficultly. He clenched his throne, causing it to crack. And then, with a defeated voice, he said, "Very well… But only for the next 10 or so days. The Nexus Event is occurring soon, and even Vampire Duke Descendants are not safe. Also, that bastard's son—you're not allowed to interact with him anymore—" However, before he could speak further, Bella interrupted him, saying:
"No can do, Daddy! Cass is my husband! No wife should be separated from their husband for too long!! Plus, the red moon is still out; we still have time!!"
"He's not even actually your husb—"
"He's my husband!"
"But, he's really not—"
"He. Is. My. Husband," Bella slowly iterated, her eyes becoming scary. "K, Daddy?"
Alaric helplessly looked at his even more helpless daughter. His helplessness became even worse when his mischievous wife gave him a cheeky look with her eyes. He shook his head before asking, "Beloved daughter of mine, what is it that you hope to accomplish by involving yourself with that boy again? Just entering the Humanity Tower's Trial Floor with a mere incarnation cost me dearly; I won't be able to go down again. The window is gone. So tell me; what do you hope to accomplish?"
Bella lovingly grinned. "My Husband hates my guts, Daddy, you know that," she replied. "But seeing as I want him in my guts, I got to thinking!"
Conveniently ignoring the palpable silence in the air, Bella continued, "My Cass is also someone who pursues benefits. So, then I thought: Well, what could benefit my Cassy Wassy? And the answer was so simple! I'll just give him my ticket to enter Yggdrasil! I've noticed that he enjoys fighting, so—"@@novelbin@@
BANG!
Both armrests of the Duke's throne shattered, followed by a terrifying aura being unleashed from him. "Unacceptable!!" he roared. "I shall not allow it!!!"
Seeing his unrest, Carmilla tenderly rubbed his shoulders. "Calm down, my love."
"You're also supporting such nonsense!?" Alaric flashed her a fierce glare.
Carmilla shook her head. "Of course not," she said. "But I have an even better proposal in mind. I heard from little Bell that the boy has what should be your Vampire Duke Bloodline, or rather a diluted version of it as he is not a true descendant but instead a Turned."
Ending on a high note, she said, "So how about this: what if we invite him into the Family and allow him to fight for one of the Yggdrasil Tickets that we're still deciding what to do with?"
"!?!?"
What do you think?
