Chapter 773 Frost Emperor
As the intensity of the battle surged, Rain found himself enveloped by a dark, ominous aura. Soon, this darkness began to take the form of crackling bolts of black lightning, coursing around Rain like a tempestuous storm.
With his movements quick and deliberate, Rain surged forward. His fists, now seemingly imbued with the same dark energy as the lightning, struck out at the menacing Inferno Dragon with incredible force.
As Rain's punches connected with the creature's face, the dark bolts of energy surged forth from his fists, striking the dragon's scaly visage with an intense and searing impact. Each bolt that landed seared and scorched the dragon's skin instantaneously, leaving trails of charred flesh in their wake.
The Inferno Dragon recoiled in agony. The dark bolts of lightning continued to rain down upon the creature's face, causing it to bellow and writhe in pain as the intense burns ravaged its features, but not for long. It didn't take long for the face of the creature to eventually end up completely smashed
An unknown skill leveled up.
An unknown path leveled up.
When the body of the dragon began to fall, Rain received those notifications and the anger inside him increased, but soon decreased again thanks to the power he was drawing from the ring imbued with the dragon's blood… that was bad. Rain could tell that a path connected to Wrath leveled up and some skills as well… no other skill that Rain had equipped gained experience… only that path got stronger.
"Shit… why does everything need to have double edges?" Rain thought as he saw giant fireballs approaching him.
As the dragons unleashed their assault, Rain was prepared for the impending danger. The fireballs hurtled toward him with intense velocity. However, before they could reach their intended target, something unexpected occurred.
Just as the fireballs were in proximity to Rain, they detonated prematurely, erupting into fiery explosions mid-air. The sudden burst caused a fiery shockwave to ripple outwards, the scorching heat expanding rapidly in all directions. The intense pressure and searing heat of the blast surged toward Rain, engulfing the air around him in an inferno of heat and flames.
Despite the overwhelming heat and the danger it posed, Rain stood firm, weathering the searing blast with unyielding determination. The sheer force and heat of the explosion tested his endurance, but he remained focused.
The dragons surrounded Rain with the fireballs that exploded before reaching him, creating a cage of heat and flames. For a moment, Rain didn't know what to do since the heat didn't let him use his head, but in the next moment, some massive aquatic hands began to block the giant fireballs fired by the dragons and then Rain had the chance to move away.
After moving downward, Rain found Seadrei floating in the air while carrying with him a massive sphere of water that was like five kilometers wide and long… that certainly will make him save some mana, but maybe he was going overboard.
"My apologies for being late," Seadrei said. "Some people didn't want to leave the underwater capital… not even for a short while."@@novelbin@@
"I owe you one," Rain said. "Putting that aside, we have to deal with those guys before the others arrive."
"Sounds like a plan," Seadrei said and then summoned the one hundred giant water hands.
The inferno dragons began to attack them with massive fireballs, but the projectiles disappeared when they touched the water sphere. Rain decreased the temperature of the water a bit to make it more resistant to fire attacks, so not even the inferno dragons would be able to get rid of it soon enough.
Rain jumped from the water sphere and took a bunch with him as well and transformed into eight giant ice arms. He couldn't copy Seadrei since his mana was limited, and the eight arms worked well enough to block the lightning bolts that reached him.
The cyclones behind approached again, and that made Seadrei have a hard time controlling his massive waterbody, so Rain made his choice, and then he fired the giant ice arms toward the six-winged dragons. The projectiles hit the monsters and pushed them backward as they grunted in pain, and thanks to it, several of the cyclones lost power, but Rain didn't stop there.
Rain approached the six-winged dragons and smashed their heads up and down with his massive ice fists… he moved the eight ice arms backward when he heard the sound of static and then he soon heard the impact and the heat caused by the lightning bolts when they hit the ice arms. He ignored them and kept smashing the head of the first target and it seemed that endurance wasn't its forte…
