Intergalactic conquest with an AI

Chapter 310 Emperor sword.

Rex smirked, his white wings glowing brighter as he raised his newly crafted nano claymores. "Alright, boys," he said, his voice calm but laced with menace. "Let's see if you can back up all that talk."

The battlefield fell silent for a moment, the tension palpable. Then, with a roar, the four Tier 4 powerhouses charged at Rex, their weapons blazing with energy. Rex met them head-on, his golden light cutting through the mist as the clash of titans began.

The first clash was brutal. The combined force of the four Tier 4 warriors sent Rex flying backward, his body crashing into one of the transport ships. The impact caused a massive explosion, debris scattering in all directions as the ship was obliterated.

"Hahaha, that was all? This guy only looks big, but his strength is trash!" one of the Tier 4 warriors laughed, his voice dripping with mockery.

"Don't let your guard down," another Tier 4 warned, nocking an energy arrow to his bow. "He's not dead. I can still feel his energy."

As if on cue, Rex emerged from the explosion in a matter of seconds, his wings flapping powerfully to stabilize him. He hovered in the air, his golden light undimmed, though his armor showed signs of damage.

"Tsk, I'll admit, I didn't think it would be this hard to fight four cowards at the same time!" he taunted, his voice carrying over the battlefield.

The Tier 4 noble who had been mocked earlier sneered, his voice filled with venom. "Why are you still trying to look powerful? You couldn't even withstand our attack! If you surrender yourself and bow your head to me, I might spare your life and use you as a good Tier 4 slave."

Rex raised an eyebrow, his smirk returning. "Damn, I knew it! You only want my body! But I'm sorry, I don't swing that way!" he shouted back while dramatically covering his body with his arms.

"Y-you!" the noble sputtered, his face turning red with rage beneath his helmet. Once again, he was left speechless. When it came to trash talk, it was clear that a spoiled noble was no match for someone who had spent his life in the slums.

"Stop wasting your energy talking to him! Let's just kill him already!" another Tier 4 shouted while charging at Rex with his weapon raised. The others followed suit, their attacks coordinated and relentless.

{Mini Cleo! Is that thing ready yet!?}

Rex asked through his mental link, parrying a strike from one Tier 4 before darting upward to dodge an energy arrow.

{Not yet, Boss!}

Mini Cleo replied, her voice strained.

{The original sent me the ancient Kaelzar language for energy technique builds, but it's hard to translate into your language.}

{Tsk, I guess I'll have to buy some more time. Hurry up with that thing, Mini Cleo!}

Rex thought, his mind racing as he prepared to lure the Tier 4 warriors further away from the transport ships.

Just as Rex was about to make his move, chains shot out from the mist, wrapping around his foot. "HAHAHA! Did you think you could run away after insulting me!?" the Tier 4 noble shouted while pulling Rex toward him.

Before Rex could react, the noble delivered a powerful punch to his side, the impact sending a shockwave through the air. Rex's vision blurred for a few seconds, leaving him vulnerable.

The Tier 4 archer seized the opportunity, firing an energy arrow that struck Rex's shield, shattering it instantly. The force of the explosion sent Rex tumbling through the air, his wings struggling to stabilize him.

"Tsk, I know you love me, but I'm really not into dudes!" Rex shouted, swinging his claymore in a wide arc. Energy waves erupted from the blade, forcing the Tier 4 warriors to dodge and weave to avoid the attacks.

But the noble wasn't done. With a cruel laugh, he swung Rex around like a ragdoll, the chains tightening around his foot. After a few dizzying rotations, the noble released his grip, sending Rex crashing into the ground with a deafening impact.

Rex used his wings to cushion the fall, the white feathers absorbing most of the damage. He stood up, brushing dust off his armor, and pointed his claymore at the glowing figures of the Tier 4 warriors above him.

"Hey! That wasn't very nice, you know! If I hadn't covered myself, I'd be dead by now!" he shouted, his tone more annoyed than angry.

The Tier 4 warriors hovered above him, their weapons glowing with energy as they prepared for the next assault. Rex smirked, his white wings flaring brighter. "Alright, boys. Round two. Let's see if you can keep up."

"Hmph! A dying dog will still bark, it seems!" the noble sneered while gesturing to the other Tier 4 warriors. In unison, they summoned an array of weapons powered by their cosmic energy, energy rifles, plasma cannons, and even a few exotic weapons that hummed with destructive power.

Without hesitation, they unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, raining down a storm of bullets and energy blasts toward Rex.

Rex crouched low, his massive wings folding around him like a shield. The bullets and energy blasts slammed into his wings, each impact sending waves of pain through his body.

The wings, now fused with his skeleton, were connected to his pain receptors, and the cosmic energy-infused attacks were strong enough to make him grit his teeth with every hit.

"Is it still not ready, Mini Cleo!?" Rex shouted, his voice strained as he endured the onslaught.

{It's ready, Boss! Let's start the counterattack!}

Mini Cleo's voice rang out, filled with determination. Her small form appeared behind Rex, but she was no longer the tiny holographic AI he was used to.

She had transformed into a sleek, towering power armor with wings made of glowing swords, a clear imitation of Cleo's Battle Maiden mode. Her presence was commanding, and her energy radiated power.

"GOOD!" Rex roared, summoning every ounce of strength he had left. With a powerful leap, he burst out of the crater he'd been forced into, his wings propelling him high into the air.

The Tier 4 warriors hesitated for a moment, then gave chase, following him for several kilometers until they were far from the transport convoy.

Rex finally stopped, hovering in the air as he turned to face his pursuers. His golden wings glowed brighter than ever, and his claymore had transformed into a majestic weapon, its blade radiating pure energy.

The golden halo that usually rested on his back now encircled the hilt of the sword, pulsing with power.

"HA! Did you already get tired!? But it's too late! You can't surrender now! I want your head hanging from the front of my ship!" the noble shouted, his voice filled with manic glee.

Rex smirked, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Heh, this is the third time you've asked me out. I'm sorry, but my answer is still no, my lord." He raised his transformed claymore toward the sky, the golden halo glowing brighter as energy began to gather around him.

The Tier 4 warriors paused, their confidence wavering as they sensed the immense power building within Rex. "Now! Do it, Mini Cleo!" Rex commanded.

Mini Cleo's form expanded dramatically, her small holographic body now towering several meters tall. Her presence was awe-inspiring, and for the first time, the Tier 4 warriors could see her clearly.

Her wings of energy swords shimmered, and her voice echoed across the battlefield like a divine proclamation.

[When the Emperor's Sword rises, the whispers of rebellion fall silent.]

As Mini Cleo spoke, a colossal sword of pure energy began to materialize above Rex. It was a breathtaking sight, the blade radiating an otherworldly light that seemed to pierce through the misty atmosphere.

The sheer pressure of the sword's presence locked the Tier 4 warriors in place, their bodies frozen as if time itself had stopped.

"W-what is that!?" one of the Tier 4 warriors stammered, his voice trembling with fear.

"Who cares what it is? Shoot it down!" the noble screamed, his voice cracking under the strain. The Tier 4 warriors tried to attack, but their energy blasts were stopped midair by a honeycomb-like shield that surrounded Rex and Mini Cleo.

[When the Emperor's Sword falls, the balance of power shatters into a million pieces.]

With those words, the colossal sword shattered into hundreds of thousands of smaller blades, each one glowing with the same radiant energy. Rex pointed his claymore toward the immobilized Tier 4 warriors, his expression calm but resolute.

"Go," he said simply.

The sea of energy swords rained down, a breathtaking cascade of light and power. The Tier 4 warriors could only watch in horror as the blades descended upon them.

"NOOOOOOO!" the noble screamed, his voice filled with desperation. "SPARE MY LIFE, GREAT LORD!"

"I WAS JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS!" another Tier 4 warrior pleaded, his voice breaking.

"AHHHHHHHHH!" a third screamed as the swords struck, their energy tearing through armor and flesh alike.

Cleo, watching the scene through her Scout drones, couldn't help but smile. This was one of her father's favorite moves, a technique that had once brought entire armies to their knees.

"Show them, Rex" She whispered, her fists tightening. "The Kaelzars aren't dead yet. The time of our rise will come again."

The battlefield fell silent as the last of the energy swords dissipated, leaving only Rex and Mini Cleo hovering in the air. The Tier 4 warriors were gone, their once-imposing forms reduced to nothingness. Rex lowered his claymore, the golden halo dimming as he took a deep breath.

Mini Cleo floated beside him, her form shrinking back to its usual size.

{Boss, that was... amazing!!}

Rex smirked, his wings folding behind him. "Yeah, but let's not do that again anytime soon. I feel like I just ran a marathon."

As the mist began to clear, the transport convoy in the distance continued its journey, unharmed and unaware of the battle that had just taken place. Rex turned toward the horizon, his white wings glowing faintly.

"Let's get back to work. This mission isn't over yet."
