Into the Creations

Chapter 42: World of Vampire Detective [24]

We woke up around noon in the motel, lying in each other's arms.

Once we entered the motel, we became like beasts. We didn't drink a drop of alcohol, yet we turned into a male and female, not just a man and woman, and rolled around until dawn.

Looking around, the place was a complete mess. It wasn't just the bed that was wrecked. The bathroom, shower, desk, chair, entrance… we had swung our genitals in almost every possible place, in every possible position. Hera's pussy was now swollen and red.

"Oppa, I'm going to quit Yeong Hye-jeong."

"Huh?!"

I was shocked.

"Why are you so surprised?"

"Well, I thought you'd keep working at Yeong Hye-jeong."

"Yeong Hye-jeong is a good place. The madam takes care of us, and we earn more money compared to other places. But still, it's not a job I can do for a lifetime."

"…That's true."

Most of the girls working in rooms do it for the money. Entertainment establishments are great for making quick cash in a short time. However, considering societal judgment and future prospects, it's not a place to stay long-term.

What surprised me was that I didn't expect Hera to quit so soon.

"Are you quitting starting today?"

"No, I'll work until the end of this month. I've already told the madam."

"What will you do after quitting?" @@novelbin@@

"My parents keep telling me to get married soon… but even so, I'm not even in my 30s yet, and I don't want to get married. I'll use the money I've saved to open a clothing store."

Listening to her, I realized something new.

'...For me, this world is like a drama, but for the people in this world, this is their reality.'

And I was curious about something.

Would Shin Hye-jin's parents in reality look the same as Hera's parents? I really wanted to check, but I didn't know what Shin Hye-jin's parents looked like.

"So, does that mean our sex partner relationship is over too?"

Honestly, I didn't want to let her go. But I also didn't want to force her. We'd already done it to the point of exhaustion. If Hera wanted to leave, I was ready to let her go.

"…Hmm. No. I don't think I'll ever forget Oppa's dick. Even now, my pussy hurts… but just thinking about your dick makes me tingle."

"I'll never forget your pussy either."

This was also sincere. Hera's pussy was a perfect fit for my dick. Even though there are definitely tighter pussies out there, after doing it, none feel as good as hers.

"Call me when you open your store. I'll fuck you as a celebration."

"Oppa, you'd fuck me even without a celebration."

"That's true."

I chuckled.

I couldn't quit the bars. I was already addicted.

If this were reality and not a fictional world, I would've quit. Bars are fun, but they also ruin your life.

But this isn't reality. My life in this world doesn't matter. And going to bars doesn't interfere with my goals.

In short, I had no intention of quitting bars until I achieved my goals.

'The problem is money.'

I wanted to go to the room salon, but I didn't have the money.

Sitting in front of Kang Eugene's computer, I fell deep into thought.

There are many ways to earn money. You just have to work. But there are a few ways to make a lot of money quickly.

I had already sold all the information Kang Eugene had gathered that was sellable, and the remaining materials were too dangerous to handle. So, I couldn't make money by selling information.

Robbing a bank was also an option, but I didn't want to unnecessarily provoke the police.

'The only option left is… to take money from criminals like before.'

Finding the operators of illegal sports gambling sites wasn't difficult with hacking. Since they're involved in illegal activities, many of them keep cash on hand.

"…Wait. I have a clown mask."

Originally, I planned to wear the clown mask only when killing vampire hunters. But thinking about it, that wasn't necessary.

'Since it's come to this… let's just go all out.'

I started rummaging through Kang Eugene's computer. Kang Eugene didn't just collect information on public officials' corruption. He had a good habit of saving any interesting information he came across.

"…Found it."

What I found was information on a National Assembly member named Kim Chun-suk. A six-term member and the floor leader of the Cheon Party.

In the original work, he was mentioned as a corrupt politician. However, his power was so immense that even Moon Ji-hyuk couldn't touch him. He was only mentioned as an example of a dangerous politician.

He's the dirtiest public official in South Korea.

How dirty is he? The amount of data stored on him is at least five times more than that of other politicians.

Bribery and lobbying are just the basics. He uses political thugs as his own limbs. There's even suspicious evidence that he's involved in contract killings.

What's surprising is that he hasn't been frequenting entertainment establishments like Yeong Hye-jeong recently. Seven years ago, he was involved in a scandal related to entertainment establishments.

'…No, actually, it's not surprising.'

There's a secret villa in Yeongdeungpo that's unknown to others. Kang Eugene hacked nearby CCTV and identified the people entering the villa.

Most of them are executives from large corporations. It was clear that lobbying was taking place there.

There were also famous entertainment agency CEOs and celebrities.

It's sexual favours.

There's no explicit footage, but why else would celebrities enter Kim Chun-suk's secret villa? Only an idiot wouldn't get it.

The frequency of celebrities entering is about once a week. A few days after entering the villa, they land movie roles or suddenly get positive press. At this point, it's almost certain.

The reason he doesn't visit entertainment establishments like Yeong Hye-jeong is that the secret villa itself is his entertainment spot.

But that's not all. He occasionally meets with lobbyists from Japan and China. A National Assembly member who's been criticized by the public and media for selling out the country? Compared to Kim Chun-suk, that guy is nothing. Kim Chun-suk has been steadily receiving bribes and lobbying for at least ten years.

'It's a good thing there's no one like Kim Chun-suk in reality.'

Is there really no one like Kim Chun-suk in reality? I couldn't answer that question easily. I just want to believe there isn't.

'There's a place his aide checks once a month.'

By the way, Kim Chun-suk's aide is a former political thug. He's likely committed multiple murders as Kim Chun-suk's right-hand man. He's from the same middle school as Kim Chun-suk. Kim Chun-suk trusts him more than his own wife.

'The place the aide checks every time is almost certainly where the slush fund is hidden.'

Kang Eugene hacked the aide's phone and computer to find the location. He deduced the location by checking the aide's card records.

Kang Eugene sealed this information.

It was too dangerous for a lone hacker to steal Kim Chun-suk's slush fund. The slush fund is likely guarded by his favourite political thugs… the Baekjeonpa. By the way, the Baekjeonpa is superficially known as the 'Daehan Cheonhoe,' a support group for the Cheon Party.

'The slush fund is at least 200 billion won? Damn, it stinks so much I feel like vomiting.'

The slush fund location contains physical assets. Including non-physical assets, it's likely over 600 billion won.

'He's making this much, and they're just letting him be?'

The National Intelligence Service knows about Kim Chun-suk's corruption. But they've remained silent.

If they mess with Kim Chun-suk now, more than a few people will get hurt. In the worst case, the South Korean government could be paralyzed. That's how many National Assembly members and corporations are tied to Kim Chun-suk. And of course, the NIS is included.

'It's a miracle the country is still functioning at this point.'

I pondered.

Should I raid the slush fund location and take the money right away? Or should I just give up?

'...Let's prepare and rob it. Let's turn South Korea upside down with this opportunity.'

As a citizen of South Korea, I couldn't stand seeing someone like Kim Chun-suk wreak havoc and line his pockets without consequence... Well, not exactly.
It's not like my taxes are going to that bastard… Actually, I'm not even paying taxes.

To be honest.

'He's living the high life. That bastard. And celebrity sexual favours… I'm so jealous.'

Celebrity sexual favours were unforgivable.

'I'm so pissed off. Damn it….'

[Hacking Lv.6]

[You can hack electronic devices. The more complex the device, the shorter the hacking duration. The device must be within 60 meters. You can hack multiple devices, but the hacking duration is significantly reduced. ]

[Cooldown: 3 hours]

I invested my points into the hacking skill. The skill was essential for what I was about to do.

'It's especially useful in this modern setting.'

I wanted to level it up to 10, but it required a whopping 25 points to level up further.

'I only have 3 points right now.'

I could either raise my stats or save them for later.

'I might suddenly unlock a trait like Yeongcheon Style.'

Just like how you suddenly need money in life, there might be a time when I suddenly need points.

'But in the end, I can always earn more points.'

After some thought, I decided to raise my lowest stat. If I was going to raise my stats eventually, it wouldn't hurt to do it now.

It also bothered me that one stat was significantly lower than the others.
And I was curious if raising my intelligence would actually make me smarter.

[Name: Seong Eugene]

[Level: 19]

[Stats]

[Strength: 14]

[Stamina: 12]

[Agility: 12]

[Intelligence: 5]

[Vitality: 15]

=====

After raising my intelligence, I put down my smartphone and sat still.

"...What's changed?"

I didn't feel any clearer-headed or see the world differently. I decided to test it out.

I randomly thought of a few numbers and added, subtracted, and multiplied them. I realized my mental math had improved.

My memory also seemed better.

'If I look up intelligence… learning ability, cognitive ability… well, a lot of things come up.'

I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd wasted my points on intelligence, but then I noticed a new window in the corner of the Play Life app.

[Skill and trait effects are slightly enhanced.]

[Skill energy consumption is reduced by 0.1%.]

[Skill cooldown is reduced by 0.1%.]

"Damn it!"

That was the first thing I said when I saw it.

Intelligence.

Thinking about it, in games, it's a stat related to skills. In games, higher intelligence increases skill power.

"Ugh, I should've raised intelligence sooner."

0.1%.

To others, it might seem insignificant, but to me, it's not a small percentage. I was once obsessed with a mobile game and spent 300,000 won chasing a 0.3% chance.

In the end, I achieved my goal. That's when I learned that 0.3% is worth chasing.

"If I raise intelligence, the percentage will increase, right?"

Even 1% would be significant. And the fact that skill and trait effects are slightly enhanced keeps bothering me.

'Yeongcheon Style and hacking are already amazing, and they're going to get even better. I'll have to focus on raising intelligence from now on.'

I thought raising intelligence might change my values or personality, but…

'Ah, I want to roll around with girls at Yeong Hye-jeong.'

I guess that's not the case.
