Chapter 1124: Put more passion!
[OP: ]
{ "Battle is fought not with swords and magic, but with eyes, mind, and footsteps." }
A blank room devoid of anything, a place filled with nothing more than two individuals and their opponents… with their grandfather guiding them, they were fighting against even tougher opponents today.
The place was empty with only Alf and Carla present, their breaths heavy, their bodies riddled with rounds, the white floor below stained with their blood.
-Ooooooooooooong!
Alf was using magic.
-Booooooooom!
His opponent, on the other hand, was using a sharp curved sword that was focused on speed-based fights.
-Swiiiiiiiiish!
Similar to him, Carla was fighting a being that used magic of a strange kind, or something that resembled magic but was not exactly magic.
"Akhm!"
Her opponent, a strange spectral being, did not really have a form that she could visibly see. It certainly had a form or a body, but she could not perceive this being. There was something strange about this creature, something she could not understand even after fighting against it for so long…
"Alf!"
The opponent on the other hand, the sword using the blue ’thing’ that Alf had been blocking for a while now, was something strange as well.
It was humanoid, but it did not really possess anything like a solid body. It was strong, the way it moved was completely different from the way Carla or the other sword users moved.
There was a strange flow in the movements of this creature, something neither of them could understand. Still, one thing was clear…
-Ooooooooooooong…!
If they did not work together, they were not going to defeat this being. They were going to be punished and pushed back, and just the way they were hurt till now, they were going to be in an even worse condition.
When this fight started, they were not expecting something like this.
They had been using this practice room for a while now. They have been fighting all kinds of creatures since they started training with their grandfather.
Sir Zahavi was operating this training room personally after learning all kinds of things that were possible with the strange devices that were present all around it.
Including the additional artifacts present in this particular training area, the kind of creatures that they could summon was simply beyond his comprehension.
As someone who had fought all kinds of monsters on the battlefield, as someone who tested the limitations of these artifacts, as someone who had reached the heights of the human body’s limits, he knew how much one was capable of.
He had tested all kinds of machines like the ones present here. He knew how the training simulations worked.
He knew how all kinds of artifacts in the world had great limits when it came to measuring the capabilities of the knights… it was not possible for any existing magic or technology to replicate creatures strong enough to pose a threat to beings on his level.
However, after using the training grounds in this tower, after merely understanding the limits that these training grounds were capable of, he knew there was a great potential for growth left inside of him.
Even after reaching the level of a [King] there was more that he could learn. More strengths and powers that he could gain through training in places like these.
Even not considering the energy training circle room that Mime had been using since yesterday, just the creatures that these artifacts could summon and reproduce were unlike anything he had seen.
{ "Good. Fighting together is not a bad thing when your opponents are as strong as them. You would still need to understand the partner though, and it is not going to be easy when the enemy knows what you can do." }
For the first time in his life, he was able to fight beings that were beyond his reach. He could fight the calamities that one could not get near much less fight by themselves.
He fought draconic creatures, divine beings that one could never get enough data of to recreate their models so accurately.
He feared the kind of genius that would be required to create these artifacts. He knew whoever had created these artifacts, who had the ability to gather the data to create these beings, must have been strong enough to defeat them easily. Experience new stories on NovelBin.Côm
Aside from fighting creatures, he could create opponents with his knowledge and experience. The better the understanding of individuals that he had, the more accurate the resulting model.
{ "Fight. Fight like your life depends on this one battle." }
-Ooooooooooong!
The opponents that Carla and Alf were fighting right now, were not simply training model dummies or something like that. These creatures– individuals– were models of accumulated experiences of various enemies that he had faced himself.
A mage did not simply use magic through spells. They could also incorporate mystical techniques and create something that might seem like magic spells would not be magic.
Sword or any weapon in that manner, was not simply about strength, techniques, movement, and energy implementations. Those who could use a weapon to its limits could use the abilities far more efficiently than the rest.
{ "Put more passion into it!" }
The enemy that they were fighting right now was something that was made with the harmonized experience of someone who knew how to use a sword, someone who had incorporated dancing into their weapon arts, someone who used to work as a medic, as well as experience of a fluid slime.
The being that Lord Zahavi had created was beyond what they might have ever come across. These creatures, beings of great strength, were in no way a simple entity.
Both the creatures were also made in a way that would allow them to fight against the brother-sister duo perfectly.
{ "Put more passion! Swing your sword like this is the last time you’re going to hold a sword! Take out more swords! You hold countless of them! Use them all if you have to!
Alfred! This is the time you use all the spells that you have ever imagined in your head! Cast them! Materialize the spells that have only ever been your imagination!" }
-Boooooooom!
They had been beaten one-sidedly till now but not anymore. They were not just going to take the beating when the opponent was not even an actual living being.
They had trained in the academy, they had learned new things, they were using powerful weapons right now, and ever since they got here, they had been learning new things from various things as well.
They knew they had progressed a little more. They had been defeating all the opponents that their grandpa threw at them till now, and they were not going to back down this time either.
"Ugh!"
Lord Zahavi was not encouraging them. This was the kind of guidance that they needed so as they faced these opponents, he guided them with his words, and at the same time commanded the creatures so that they would act in a way he wanted them to.
-Ooooooooooong!
He was not controlling their opponents but he had an option to suggest some things to the artificial intelligences. He could interact with them in a way, and it was because of these interactions that the two of them faced such trouble against these beings.
The opponents were strong. Abnormally so. And yet the two were fighting against them with good techniques.
"Alf!"
"Yes!"
Instead of just relying on their strengths, they were using each other’s powers to deal with both opponents at once. They were fighting in a way that helped them deal with them at least better than when they were fighting.
But what their grandfather said ignited a new flame within them.
-Oooooooooong!
If the opponent was strong enough, they just needed to use all the cards up their sleeves. That was what they would have to do when they were on a battlefield or facing a being that was far stronger than them.
They had to try everything that they possibly could, so while Carla took out all kinds of swords from her unique storage, Alf summoned a barrier around both of them and then started casting a powerful spell, gathering the particles of Mana in the surroundings.
The spell was not going to be simple. He was casting Runes, he was using verbal chanting instead of simple thought processing. In addition to that, he was mixing in the elemental particles for the spell.
The spell was not going to have a magic circle or something like that, he was casting Pure Magic. The spell was not going to have any interference thus increasing the destructive output.
"Trrrrrr~!"
Uto, who had been hiding in his sleeves, also enlarged herself. She gathered the wind energy and called her draconic powers for the spell as the two attracted the attention of both opponents.
"Oh no."
Carla knew they were going to try something funny after seeing this so she used {Telekinesis} and started throwing swords all around them.
-Swish!!
She did not simply throw the swords around though, she actually moved and used all of these swords one by one to close in the distance between them with her movement skill and deal a powerful blow to these opponents.
-Booooooooom!
The powerful artifact swords that Eon had given her were more than powerful enough for her to deal with them for a moment.
{ "Yes…" }
It was her first time using more than one sword. It was not just duel wielding a sword, but she was using multiple weapons in succession, moving while wasting a great portion of her energy, using all her skills while moving.
She even summoned the energy sword with her skill and used it along with the other swords. She bought Alf enough time for him to finish the powerful spell, almost using up everything she had, even throwing her Aura blades around in a strange manner… she did not know what she did at that moment, but she had obtained the Idea that she needed.
-OOOOOOOONG! @@novelbin@@
Alf had also finished casting the spell at that point. A spell that was as powerful as a (tier-6) spell. It was two levels above his current Mana levels so he had already overexerted himself.
He was tired, but he still succeeded…
At least, he thought he had succeeded.
{ "Good try, both of you." }
Right when he was about to release the spell, the being in the blue did something. It did something with its strange powers and as a result, his perfect spell was disrupted… which ultimately resulted in an explosion.
-BOOOOOOOOOM!
They were going to be hurt once again, but hopefully, they will be fine.
Lord Zahavi knew this would happen, so he had prepared for this from the start.
He was not going to let them get hurt on his watch.
What do you think?
