Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 1188: Farewell to the Presidents

[Eon's POV: ]

"Did anyone see Ball?" That guy was missing again.

"Oh, I think I heard him saying he forgot something at the dorms this morning. He was here earlier, but I haven't seen him since then." Tia was here early after not sleeping the whole night.

She had been searching for that rainbow flamingo the whole night, but she could not find her.

"Is that so? He should have been here by now…" We were all in the auditorium hall already. One of the sides was completely filled with students from our group and as I knew, it was attracting quite the attention from the other students.

All of us house captains were also sitting in the same column so it was attracting even more attention from the students from prominent backgrounds.

They were looking at us as if we had committed some kind of crime. Even the teachers on the stage could not help their stares at the students who were looking at some of us with hostility.

"Should I go look for him? Could he be in trouble again?" Tia knew that he was an accident-prone one in the group.

He had been in trouble many times. He wasn't the one causing trouble like we do, but he was the one who got into trouble for doing silly things.

Even after getting better and stronger, he was still clumsy and we all had to look after him from time to time.

"No… it's fine. He should be here soon." I couldn't find him with my three eyes inside the campus but after Tia informed us he had gone back, I looked outside the academy.

And he was currently running here.

"Oh? Really? But shouldn't we check just in case?" She didn't know about my ability to see the faraway things so she was still worried about him.

The assembly was starting soon so it would be better if he got here soon. And he should be here by the time we start if he keeps up his pace.

"There's no need to worry, Tia. If you want, you can go and wait for him at the front gate of the academy. Pick him up and bring him here if you get too late, though I don't think you will have to do that."

The headmaster wasn't here yet, many of the teachers weren't here either.

Even our student council presidents weren't here yet so it was fine for now.

"Oh, if you say so… I'll go and bring the others here as well~." Tia was happy even though she didn't get to see the flamingo last night.

She actually likes those creatures quite a bit… should we bring her to their home someday? But what would we tell her about the houses over there?

'Well, we can just hide them, right?'

Perhaps we can do that, but we will have to be careful with the flamingoes over there if we do bring them there.

The creatures will know who we are and if they tell something about us to the familiars of the others, they will know we are pretty close with them.

If Tia gets to know we were hiding those creatures and our connection from them, she's going to be pretty upset and I don't know how we will deal with her.

'She just went out to bring the others here which meant she was going to bring Ezra and Prince Alph who were having a good time outside, Miss Mia who was in the lab right now, even those who weren't going to come to this assembly here.'

She didn't force anyone for anything, but since she was our friend, it was pretty difficult to say no to her. If she was asking, they would come to this assembly even though there wasn't going to be anything special here.

"Lucifer, Uriel, the presidents are here."

President Zodiac and Del had been pretty busy these past few days. They had a lot of things to look after and since the headmaster wasn't around, they had a little more work to look after.

The headmaster was still not there. And they had no idea where he was right now.

To make things even harder for them, the vice headmaster wasn't here either. She was taking care of the outside matters that the headmaster usually looks after… but thankfully, it was confirmed that both of them would be present for the assembly.

'Oh…'

And just as I was thinking of that, the vice headmaster materialized on the left side of the stage.

"Look, Uriel." I pointed at how both our presidents were unfazed even though the vice headmaster wasn't around for a while.

They did not have even a hint of expression that they were relieved to see her here. It was as if they were well aware that she would be here on time so they just approached her normally as they would during any of these assemblies and gave her a brief of things.

Then, by the time everyone had gathered in the hall, Tia was back with a bunch of new people as well.

"What took you so long, Mister?" I couldn't help my question as Ball passed by me. And, there was this chaotic expression on his face right now.

"Vice-captain! I didn't mean to be late…! I was here on time, then I forgot we were going to have classes, so I went back for my book, but then I forgot I had to water my plants so I was doing that, and while doing that, I bird came and-."

"Calm down, dude. Breathe a little and calm down a little." Rein couldn't see him in that state and stood up, shook the guy, and shut his mouth.

He didn't get in any trouble but he was still all over the place.

"Sit down for now, alright? Tell us these details later. You're not late, there's no need to be so tense."

I should have said those words but she did it anyway. Seeing him must have reminded her how she's also chaotic like this.

"Uriel's right, Ball. Just calm down and have a seat." Sending him off, we said our hellos to the lovebirds, Miss Master Alchemist, to Nova– someone Rein didn't like around– and to a few others who were dragged here by our fairy friend.

The teachers were here, the preparations seemed to be done, and it seemed like they were ready as well, so…

-OOOOOOOONG!

As soon as we saw a familiar white flash of light and the person that appeared out of it, the two presidents nodded at each other.

[{ "Can you tell?" }]

As soon as the headmaster appeared on the stage, both Rein and I could tell that he wasn't the real headmaster.

[{ "I could see it, dear. Do you wanna see how I see it?" }]

[{ "Yes, please." }]

This wasn't his real body. But, this wasn't an illusion either. If we have to compare this to something, we could say this was an identical clone of his– the same kind of clone that Grandpa Zhen makes with his Origin skill.

It was a good replica, so seeing it was quite a surprise… but seeing it from Rein's eyes was even more surprising.

[{ "It's so much different… It's practically like a person. A real person." }]

[{ "Is this really magic…?" }]

She could see it, she could see this truth directly so she could tell just how absurd this was.

It was like the headmaster had woven countless spells into a material body and connected a part of his consciousness with it, making it an extension of his own self.

[{ "Do you think he could do this on a large scale? I mean… think about it… what if he could make three, four, more of these." }]

It must have taken him an absurd volume of energy. The kind of creation that we were talking about right now, if I do say so myself, was comparable to the mortals– the most unique creations of nature.

This was no simple magic clone, he had done something absurd… the power that one clone had was comparable to an archmage, so I don't even know just how strong the headmaster actually is.

[{ "But, why isn't he here himself?" }]

We hadn't seen him ever since we came back from the forest. There was no message from him either.

This was the first time we were seeing him, but this wasn't even the real him. To make things worse, Harry, his familiar Owl, wasn't around either.

[{ "Do you think he is some kind of trouble or something?" }]

[{ "That… we will have to ask him ourselves." }]

Even I don't know what he was doing right now, but now that he was here, it was time for the assembly to start.

And, now that we were starting, he gave me the opportunity to speak first to the student council president instead of taking the stage himself.

{ "So, everyone. I hope you're having a good morning." }

The time that they had in this academy had come to an end.

With the completion of the first year, their time as the heads of the student council had concluded as well.

They had observed the members of the current student council all this time and they had made their decisions as well.

There was a certain system that helped them with the successor planning but now that they were done with their duty, it was time.

{ "I know some of you know this already, however for those who are still unaware… our time, mine and your dear vice council president's, in the academy has come to a closure now." }

There was sadness in his eyes, his words had stirred up a new kind of commotion throughout the hall, but, the smile on his face maintained the chaos.

He was more happy than he was sad.

I could tell just by looking at him… he had enjoyed his time as the president of our batch.

Even Del…

'Both of them seemed happy right now.'

But, a dry goodbye to these amazing presidents wasn't going to work.

'Thankfully, we had planned a fun farewell for our fun presidents.'

They're not going to leave us and this great school empty-handed.
