Chapter 306: Chapter 218: Jack’s Strength (Vote for monthly passes!)

Boom!

The gigantic Priest monster suddenly charged, unleashing a deafening blast of air.

“Fireball! Throw fireballs at him!!”

Dongyang roared.

A group of players quickly activated the mechanical gloves on their hands, shooting out high-temperature fireballs.

But the Priest, not caring at all, casually swiped his hand, causing the fireballs to explode on his pitch-black claws and scatter as sparks. The remaining flames that scorched his body had no effect.

Boom, boom…!

Several Minotaurs charged forward, attempting to block him, but each was slapped away with one strike of a claw that even ripped open the body of one of them.

The powerful effects of the potion allowed this player, now reduced to just an upper body, to cling to life but left him incapable of returning to the fight, struggling painfully on the ground.

“Your opponent is me!”

Polaris coldly shouted, his legs transforming into the hooves of an antelope, leaping right up to the Priest monster’s face, and then biting at him with a Crocodile Bite.

Clang!!

The gaping maw of the Crocodile Bite fiercely clamped onto the shoulder of the Priest monster, but its sharp teeth could not penetrate the flesh and barely managed to pull aside the extremely hard fur.

“Scram!”

The Priest coldly shouted.

With a boom.

The gigantic Ghoul fiercely swung his hand, and his pitch-black claws swept across the face of Polaris, leaving a deep bloody mark on his cheek.

In the nick of time, Polaris transformed again into antelope hooves, kicking against the Priest monster’s face, narrowly dodging a fatal blow.

After landing, Polaris kicked backwards again, narrowly avoiding another powerful swipe.

Boom!!

The floor cratered and cracked under the dark claws, with countless small stones flying about, severely paining Polaris’s body.

“This Polaris, really overestimates his own abilities!”

Landon, watching from a distance, snickered at the scene.

Most members of the Lost Name Guild had been killed and forced offline, and the remaining stragglers had already been instructed by him to retreat, but he himself stayed behind, ready to observe a bit longer.

“Although among the players, you are one of the most dazzling Transcendents, what are you in front of a Church Priest…”

“Polaris is stronger than us, but after all, he is only a Sequence Nine Transcendent… Facing a Priest Boss who surpasses him by two Sequences, there’s no way to fight!”

Su Keying, turning on the recorder, anxiously said to Dongyang and others.

“This is already a battle of Jack’s level, we should go ask him for help!”

“…”

Dongyang and Chenxi were silent, frowning deeply.

“Jack disappeared after we arrived at Bean Town… This might be one of the difficulties of the mission.”

Boom! Boom, boom…!!

“A Sequence Nine crawler… you have successfully enraged me!”

Priest Oak roared, continuously pursuing Polaris.

Each of his strikes cracked the ground, threw stones everywhere, and produced great vibrations and aftershocks.

Although Priest was not specialized in Agility, leveraging the physical qualities of a Mid Sequence Transcendent and the large movements accompanying his transformed Ghoul state also put immense pressure on Polaris.

Polaris was like dancing on a knife’s edge, a slight misstep could result in instant death, and his counterattacks on the Priest were like tickling, barely making a scratch.

Sequence Nine against Sequence Seven, even Chen Lun of the past hadn’t had such capabilities.

Dongyang and others waited on the side for an opportunity, the few expert players who were Transcendents might find a slim chance of success while Polaris bought time.

Although Polaris used the agility of his antelope hooves to constantly dodge, he inevitably suffered a few hits from the aftershocks and received severe injuries.

“Puh—!”

Polaris once again dodged a strike, but the aftershocks of the ground sent him flying several meters, and after landing, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

The Priest, growing impatient with this slippery opponent, leaped forward, intending to crush him.

Roar!!

Just then, a spark lit up in Polaris’s eyes.

In the instant that the Priest was mid-air, he forcefully threw out Mr. Jack’s magic scroll.

“Hand of the Snake”!

Swish—!@@novelbin@@

A giant white python as thick as a thigh burst from the scroll, striking straight at the neck of the Priest monster and knocked him down from mid-air.

As the Priest roared and struggled, he could not shake off the White Python; instead, the more he struggled, the tighter the python’s grasp became. Eventually, they both crashed to the ground with a loud thud.

Boom!!

The ground trembled.

Dongyang, other players, and a crowd of gamers watched the scene in shock.

“What did Polaris do?!”

“It looks like a scroll! He threw a scroll that summoned a giant white snake which sent the Priest Boss flying!”

“Good job! That must be something awesome Polaris got from Jack, keeping it a secret all this time, damn cunning!”

Polaris got up from the ground, poured himself a “Blood Bottle,” and then turned and shouted:

“What are you waiting for! Focus fire!”

Realizing this, Dongyang and the other nine Transcendents rushed forward, attacking all at once. The guild players behind them also threw fireballs at Priest Oak.

The white python tightly coiled around the Priest, binding his limbs. Snake’s Kiss bit into the Priest’s throat, blood flowing freely.

The fireballs hit the Priest’s body, igniting fierce flames.

Doghead Gold and Forget No Taboo waved their four arms and pummeled the Priest’s face with a series of heavy punches.

Dongyang, the Horseman, and Kuang Benkuang, acting as “Believers,” smashed the Priest’s chest and abdomen with their radiant iron fists, the high temperature sizzling with each heavy hit.

Chenxi threw an Acid Scroll, and dark green liquid splashed out, dousing the Priest’s body and emitting plumes of green smoke. Honey Pomelo drew her bow and shot an arrow toward the Priest O’Connor’s eyes.

Su Keying brandished her short sword, making a few cursory stabs as if she were just going through the motions.

Wei Yin’s body emitted black smoke, her eyes turning pitch black. Her silhouette was accompanied by five ghostly shadows—the addition of five Lost Souls.

The petite girl stepped forward and fiercely kicked the Priest’s groin, emitting a muffled thud. The powerful wind lifted her twin ponytails, causing the nearby men, including Polaris, Dongyang, and Doghead Gold, to feel a chill in their groins.

The intense pain caused the Priest’s eyes to fill with blood, and he groaned, then let out a strange low growl. In his trembling voice, it seemed he was suppressing extreme Wrath.

From behind a distant fence, Landon’s eyes widened at the scene.

“How… how is this possible?! These guys are actually overpowering the Priest…?!”

A mix of shock and resentment suddenly surged in his heart.

“Why can they achieve this… That’s it! It must be Jack and the Circus! They had relied on that NPC to become Transcendents… That scroll thrown by the loner player Polaris must also be a precious item from Jack!”

Landon took a screenshot of this scene and then sent it to the Guild Leader Nameless.

He also included a message, hoping the guild would try again to connect with Jack, since clearly, the Hall of Valor, God’s Love, and Chuxi had already gotten many benefits from that NPC!

“Everyone get out of my way!!”

Priest O’Connor, unable to bear the humiliation, burst out roaring.

Being a Mid Sequence Transcendent who had completed his transformation, being ganged up on by a group of Low Sequence Transcendents who had just stepped into the Mystic Realm was indeed a disgrace to him.

“Ah!”

“Darn! The BOSS is losing it!”

The Priest suddenly exerted strength, breaking free from the White Python’s embrace. The shockwave from his release sent the ten experts nearby flying, eliciting a wave of pained cries.

The Priest was covered in wounds, especially around his neck where there were four deep, bleeding holes left by the White Python that continuously oozed blood all over the place.

Dongyang and the others struggled to stand up, and seeing that the Priest had escaped, their faces turned pale.

But the next second, they seemed to see hope again.

After the White Python was burst apart by the Priest, it suddenly transformed into five slightly smaller white snakes that leaped onto the Priest, biting chaotically.

Boom…

“Damn these snakes… Damn Beast Tamer! Roar!!”

The Priest’s furious roars arose amid a cloud of dust as he violently pounded the white snakes on his body.

“Polaris! Do you still have that kind of scroll? Use it quickly! Otherwise, we’ll miss the chance!”

Seeing this, Dongyang immediately shouted to Polaris.

The others also looked at him with hopeful eyes.

Polaris sighed inwardly, he really hadn’t wanted to use his last trump card, but it seemed there was no other choice now.

“Yes!”

He softly uttered a single word.

Dongyang and the others were overjoyed; they hadn’t expected this young man to still have one!

Suddenly, Polaris pulled out an oil painting. Dongyang and the others’ eyes went wide—it was the extraordinary portrait they had bought from Jack!

But…the figure in that painting seemed to be—

Jack!

Buzz!

A buzzing noise filled the air.

The figure on the painting slowly stood up, donning a black hat and holding a Silver Staff, his black coat swaying gently, a smile playing at his lips.

The phantom of Jack pointed leisurely, and suddenly Polaris felt as though he had received some power, his body swiftly transforming!

“This feeling…!”

Polaris’ mouth hung open, an indescribable power surged from his heart throughout his body.

Thump thump!

Thump thump!!

With his heart vigorously pounding, the “Crocodile Armor” gradually climbed to his neck, spreading upwards, and eventually enveloping his head completely, turning him into a “Crocodile Knight” with blood-red eyes glowing fiercely, creating a sinister presence.

His legs now revealed the shape of antelope hooves, appearing both strange and oppressive.

“Ugh ah!!”

Polaris roared towards the sky.

Boom!

His body began to emit red blood smoke, distorting the air with strong wind pressure that pushed Dongyang and the others back several meters, almost blinding them.

“Damn! Crocodile Knight!”

“Polaris… What’s happening to his body?!”

“What power did Jack’s painting bestow on him?!”

“Quick, scout his data, his basic Attributes are skyrocketing!”

Boom!!

“You used the extraordinary item ‘Jack’s Portrait’! You have gained the power bestowed by Jack Spett!”

“Animal Mimicry – Mad Pot’s Heart!”

“Animal Mimicry – Hell Resistance!”

“Animal Mimicry traits activated! Currently, Crocodile Armor, Crocodile Bite, Antelope Hooves, Mad Pot’s Heart, and Hell Resistance (5/5) are active! Duration one minute!”

Polaris, shrouded in blood smoke, stared at his own hands, somewhat dazed.

“So this is… Mr. Jack’s power?! So… powerful!”
