Chapter 822: Power of Pure Energy
Star Energy existed naturally. It was created by the stars.
Zephyx was created by taking Star Energy or Prephyx and infusing it with physical suffering, which was the stolen potential of something.
Now, how could Pure Energy be made?
After understanding the concept of physical suffering and the creation of Zephyx, one could understand how Pure Energy was made.
Pure Energy needed 500 parts Star Energy and one part Zephyx.
The high potential of Zephyx would be transferred to Star Energy.
Under normal circumstances, that would just turn the Zephyx into a bunch of Star Energy.
However, at the same time, one needed to absorb all of the potential of Star Energy.
The Star Energy would split.
One part of it would be without any potential and would turn into Prephyx. The other part would receive the Zephyx's potential and turn into Pure Energy.
If incorporated into the earlier analogy of Star Energy being fire and Zephyx being fuel, the fire would be split into heat and nothing.
Then, the heat would combine with the flammability of the fuel.
That just sounded like it would make more fire, and that is exactly how it usually worked.
But with a couple of advanced techniques, one could create a flammable fuel that didn't need a spark to ignite.
It was already burning, but it also wasn't burning.
This was Pure Energy, and its name was very fitting.
Pure Energy was the most versatile thing one could imagine.
It was like ATP for cells, but compared to ATP, Pure Energy could be compressed to an insane degree.
Pure Energy was just pure energy.
It was the essence of energy.
If infused into a bike, the bike would roll forward.
If infused into fire, the fire would become hotter.@@novelbin@@
Pure Energy could be added to any kind of energy, and it would increase the potential of that energy.
Yet, there was one detriment to Pure Energy.
Storing it was basically impossible.
One needed to use it as it was created.
One couldn't stop Pure Energy from doing its thing and adding potential to other forms of energy.
The reason was that everything was energy.
As long as any form of energy was around Pure Energy, Pure Energy would fuse with that energy.
That included matter, movement, heat, and so on.
One could not stop it, but one could direct it.
By putting a metal into Pure Energy, more matter would be created and crammed into the metal, making it harder, denser, and heavier.
With that, one could create terrifying weapons.
Of course, humanity could do the same thing with Zephyx.
Humanity could infuse natural materials with Zephyx, making them harder.
And yet, there was a fundamental difference.
Materials treated with Zephyx stored a lot of Zephyx inside them, but materials strengthened by Pure Energy did not have any Pure Energy.
Treating metal with Zephyx was like creating an alloy. It was the fusion of two things.
Treating metal with Pure Energy was like adding more of the metal to itself.
The metal would remain pure but would become much stronger.
A powerful sword created with Zephyx-treated materials would turn into a normal sword when exposed to Star Energy.
The Star Energy would pull the Zephyx out of the sword and turn it into more Star Energy.
If the Sun vanished and Star Energy covered Earth, all the megastructures would collapse under their own weight since they would lose their Zephyx.
This didn't happen with Pure Energy.
Pure Energy was incorruptible.
It couldn't be stolen.
It couldn't be removed.
It was inside the metal, and its potential had been permanently increased.
It was an irreversible fundamental change.
The powerful sword on the floor above the contained Adversary was made of powerful metals treated with Pure Energy.
It was a complex alloy of steel that had been altered into something like super steel.
Then, a powerful Star Energy generator was installed in the sword, and the Star Energy washed over the sword's edge.
This sword could cut through any kind of Zephyx and any material treated with Zephyx.
If dropped on Aegis' headquarters, it would fall right through.
Any materials it came into contact with would have its Zephyx destroyed, turning into normal materials, and those wouldn't be able to withstand the sheer weight of the sword. Ṛ𝐚ŊọВÊṠ
If a Specter was struck by the sword, their body would turn into Star Energy, and its weight would allow the attacker to break through any kind of defense.
This was the ultimate Anti-Specter weapon.
The only thing that could stop this sword was something that had been treated by Pure Energy to be even harder than the sword.
The Containment Unit in front of Nick, for example.
The sword and the Containment Unit were on a similar level.
Could the sword break through the Containment Unit?
Yes, but it needed a lot of kinetic energy to do that, and its own weight was not enough.
With Pure Energy and Star Energy, humanity could create weapons that had the Zephyx-countering effect of Star Energy and the raw power of Pure Energy.
The only things that could withstand such weapons were other weapons or defenses made with Pure Energy.
Zephyx was useless against them.
Zephyx was great, but it couldn't be properly incorporated into other things.
'Zephyx is fuel,' Nick thought after the Adversary finished its overview of Zephyx and Pure Energy.
'The aliens make Zephyx because it is a component of Pure Energy.'
'They make Zephyx here and sell it to somebody else. They probably also use a big part for themselves.'
'Then, the person buying the Zephyx uses it to create Pure Energy, which they can then use for basically anything they want.'
'Their bodies probably work by using Pure Energy as well. Most likely, they are essentially generating energy like plants.'
'They consume raw Zephyx, and their bodies absorb the Star Energy around them to generate Pure Energy, which then gets incorporated into their bodies.'
'Their bodies are superior to ours. They lack a critical weakness that all our bodies have.'
'Or, more accurately, they crippled us.'
'They gave us this weakness.'
After the Adversary finished giving the overview, it started to describe the details of Pure Energy generation.
And just as expected, it was insanely complicated.
Nick could tell that this would take several decades to put into practice.
