Chapter 102 - 102 99 Date
Chapter 102: Chapter 99: ‘Date Chapter 102: Chapter 99: ‘Date “Muria, Miss Mikaela invites you to come to Cloud City and asks you to bring your weapon.”
In the ancient stone palace, there lies a gigantic stone bed crafted from mountain rocks, upon which, a pile of sealed books that have been treated with protective magic such as “Dust-free” and “Immortal” accumulate like a mountain.
Above the books, a black-haired and golden-pupilled boy lay lazily on a pile of books, with a book of spells nearly as large as half a person floating in front of him, turning pages occasionally.
Right next to him are three red-haired and red-eyed lolis who look slightly older than Muria, each of them reading a book. However, in contrast to Muria who is reading with great interest, these three girls all look rather sleepy.
On the side of the boy, there is another white-haired and white-eyed loli who is exuding an icy cold aura, captivated in reading a book, seemingly not attracted by any external distractions.
The scene looked rather peculiar; a boy who is no more than a meter tall was flipping through a book that’s almost as tall as him.
“Mikaela’s invitation!” The black-haired and golden-pupilled boy moved his eyes away from the book upon hearing the Spirit’s report, looked at the curvy figure of Cassio, his face revealing a knowing smile.
“Cassio, last time I met Mikaela, she said she could give me the keys to teleport right into Cloud City, can you create a Teleportation Array directly into the heart of Cloud City now?”
“I can. Miss Mikaela has given me coordinates. If I align the teleportation array according to these coordinates, you can be directly teleported inside Cloud City.”
“Then what are we waiting for? Start building the teleportation array.” Muria tossed away the floating book in front of him, his tiny body leaped down from the stack of books nearly ten meters high, and returned to his most commonly used Titan Form.
“Not researching array formations anymore?” Cassio asked with a poker face at Muria.
“Not today, array formation study is a complex knowledge, learning is not a rushed process anyway.” Muria looked at the slowly forming teleportation array on the ground and laughed.
“Weng!” “Weng!” With a wave of Cassio’s hand, a domineering long spear and a ferocious heavy sword drop from the wall, vibrating as they float to Muria.
Muria reached out and grasped the heavy sword. Tens of golden thunders shot from behind him, forming tangible thunder chains. He hung the heavy sword on the chains, carrying it on his back, then took the long spear and stepped into the fully-formed teleportation array.
Once the slight dizziness had subsided, a mild sense of crisis surged. Even before he could clearly see what was in front of him, Muria swung his long spear without hesitation, making several sharp lance attacks form a dazzling spear bloom, based on his acute spirit sense honed by countless battles.
“Pop!” “Pop!” … Each spear gleam formed, a slight cracking sound could be heard. Not a single spear missed, each hitting its target. As he swung his spear, Muria also spotted what he was attacked by.
They were numerous luminous arrow-shaped feathers. Muria looked up to see a girl holding a dragon spear, with unfathomable beauty, spreading a pair of wings with ten blazing Sky Fire feathers emanating from behind her. Arrows of light were being shot from her wings.
“Mikaela, attacking me before I even arrived, isn’t this a sneak attack?” Muria swung the spear in his hand, creating a ring of spear light that shattered all the surrounding light arrows.
“It was just a reminder, not a sneak attack.” Mikaela’s Blazing Sky Wings flapped, turning into a white rainbow that rushed towards Muria with a piercing cold point.
“Heh!” Muria chuckled, swinging up his spear with his left hand, deflecting the sharp spear thrust that had already reached him. He then reached for the heavy sword on his back, a chain of thunder and lightning following the handle of the sword, wrapping around the heavy sword.
The golden Dragon Flames ignited on the heavy sword. Muria held the raging dragon flame and golden lightning and swung the huge sword towards Mikaela’s head ruthlessly.
When fighting against the most talented of the blazing Sky Gods race, there should be no thought of holding back.
“Clang!” Sparks and fragments of flames scattered everywhere as Muria’s heavy sword struck Mikaela’s forearm barred by her legendary armor. She bore the full force of Muria’s strike.
The Sky Girl floating in mid-air had no place to relieve the force. Hence, Mikaela was knocked to the ground by Muria’s strike, where she fell, a large bright pattern of light lit up.
Watching Mikaela being knocked down by his strike, Muria, without any relaxation, lifted his spear with his left hand and threw it into the crater Mikaela had created from her fall.
“Boom!” The moment the spear left his hand, an explosive sound much like a thunderclap filled the air, wave after wave of sound explosion rings swept over the grand arena, blowing the hair of many of the spectating angels.
“Wow!” “Your Majesty” … Muria’s relentless series of attacks sent a buzz through the audience of angels in the arena, faintly hearing words of cursing at Muria.
At the highest point of the grandstands in the arena, the lord of Cloud City, Mikaela’s brother, Sylvester — a peak of soul intent, eight-winged Blazing Sky God Descendant — sat on the throne, overlooking the battle below between Muria and his sister.
At the sight of Muria hurling his long spear without hesitation, the wings behind this handsome member of the Blazing Sky God Race remained as white as jade, radiating a hazy light and showing no change. However, his eyes squinted slightly, as if white-hot flames were swirling within. His palm, resting on the armrest of the seat, seemed to sink into it.
“Sylvester, at this level, Muria can’t hurt Mikaela,” said one of the six-winged Blazing Sky God Descendants who sat below Sylvester. They all noticed Sylvester’s unusual behavior, and one couldn’t help but try to comfort him.
“I know.” Sylvester raised his hand and rubbed his brow. As he lifted his hand, a layer of faint white-hot fire fell on the palm print that he presse, smoothing it out. “I am her brother; I am the one who understands her the most.”
“Then what are you worried about?” A Blazing Sky God Descendant laughed, “But this Titan named Muria is really clueless. A year ago, Mikaela willingly took off her legendary armor without using any legendary weapons to fight him, and this guy didn’t show any mercy, directly…”
“Enough.” Sylvester looked at the Blazing Sky God Descendant who was standing up for Mikaela. “That fight was predetermined by my sister. The outcome was set, and there was no injustice.”
“But, I heard that this guy is a half-blood Titan.” A Blazing Sky God Descendant murmured. “His maternal grandfather is said to be a newly promoted Dragon King who once gave him a drop of Original Blood.”
“In that case, the last fight was very unfair to Mikaela.”
“Hmph, what’s unfair about it? Mikaela naturally has five pairs of Blazing Sky Wings. She is not weaker than any other being in terms of bloodline. If she lost, she lost. No excuses.”
…
While the angels in the stands were anxiously watching the fight, and the Blazing Sky God Descendants were arguing with each other, inside the arena, Muria with dragon wings was fiercely fighting with Mikaela who was holding a long spear and a heavy sword.
Ever since Muria narrowly defeated Mikaela a year ago, this arrogant Blazing Sky girl would proactively invite Muria from time to time. The meeting spot — the Cloud City Arena.
Every meeting, Muria would go into the fight in high spirits and full of energy, armed and ready to fulfill the date. Moreover, in the fight with Mikaela, he would go all out.
Because, as per the information Cassio gave him about the Blazing Sky God Race, as well as what he learned from other Titans, he came to a conclusion.
If he dared to deliberately show weakness and lose to Mikaela, not only would she not be pleased, she might even find it distasteful. Hence, when fighting with Mikaela, he must go all out. If possible, it would be best to win every time.
However, defeating Mikaela proved to be quite difficult. After the previous fight concluded a year ago, Mikaela stopped stifling her own progress and broke through to the Golden Rank Five, a tier superior to Muria.
But now, the Mikaela who was challenging Muria was still controlling part of her strength and keeping herself at the level of Gold Fourth Level as much as possible. During the fight, she didn’t use any legendary weapons except for retaining a pair of armors.
This was Mikaela’s pride. While fighting against Muria, whether in any aspect, she would stand at the same level with Muria and not take any advantage.
“Clang!” “Clang!”….As their weapons collided, a shock wave would sweep across each time these two powerful beings clashed, creating an astonishing force.
“I’m not going to win this time either,” Muria muttered to himself as he swung his heavy sword, wrapped in dragon flames and thunder, to block Mikaerla’s flaming spear.
Most of the fights between Muria and Mikaela ended in a draw because neither could suppress the other. The battle was declared over once their power was depleted.
Just as Muria got slightly distracted, his movements slowed down imperceptibly. Mikaela, who was incredibly battle adept, seized this little opening. After she stabbed the spear to force Muria’s heavy sword away, her slender leg landed a kick on Muria’s face.
“Pfft!” Light golden blood splattered from Muria’s face, his nose broken by Mikaela’s merciless kick. Her kick spun Muria around in mid-air, leaving him wide open, and then she landed a spear strike to his chest.
“Crack!” Along with the harsh sound of fracturing bones, “Boom!” Muria was smashed into the ground by Mikaela’s spear
After seeing Muria being smashed into the ground, Mikaela, who was in the air, flicked her spear with a cold radiance on the blade towards a slightly embarrassed Muria.
“Boom!” As before, Mikaela hurled her long spear wrapped in Blazing Sky Fire. Her power acted on the spear and effortlessly broke the sound barrier, causing sound explosion rings to sweep around.
“Good!” Seeing this, Sylvester on the main seat of the arena, smacked the armrest and excitedly shouted out loud. A smile appeared on his face.
What do you think?
