With Kaguya by his side, Colt arrived at the ice-covered battlefield created by Aokiji. He swiftly awakened Sengoku and the others, who had been knocked unconscious during the earlier battle.
The first thing that greeted their eyes was the shattered remains of Marineford, now a ruin with no standing structures in sight.
"Let's talk next."
Colt spread his hands, and behind him, a massive Susanoo materialized, wielding a bow and arrow aimed directly at the defeated Marine officers.
"Are you willing to abandon the old era and embrace a new future?"
This was a decisive threat, right? One they can't refuse...
If they say no, will that arrow be released immediately?
The faces of Sengoku and the others darkened.
The answer was: yes!
Colt didn't rush them, waiting patiently for their decision.
"Oh, by the way, Deidara, turn off the direct transmission. The rest of this conversation isn't for public broadcast."
Colt waved to Deidara, who had been acting as a battlefield reporter, broadcasting every moment of the clash to the world from upward.
"Got it!"
Deidara excitedly put away the live transmission snail, still exhilarated from witnessing the battle.
The explosions had given him countless new ideas.
"Colt, what happened to the World Government?" Sengoku asked, voicing the question on everyone's mind.
This was asked as soon as he knew the broadcast was over.
Aside from the desperate distress signal from the Five Elders earlier, there had been no further word from Mariejois.
It was as if an impenetrable fog had settled over its fate.
Colt turned his gaze toward Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.
With a side eye cast at Colt, Kaguya opened a space rift, and several lifeless bodies tumbled out.
The eyes of the Marine officers widened in horror.
"Those are... the Five Elders!"
Kaguya's cold voice followed:
"All the Celestial Dragons are dead. The kings and their guards have been subdued. Ashura and Indra were in charge."
She still referred to Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara by their old names, as she always did with Naruto and Sasuke.
"What about Im?" Colt asked, his curiosity piqued.
He had long wondered about the true identity of the shadowy ruler of the Celestial Dragons.
"Her strength was formidable, but I did not hold back. Her body has been reduced to ashes in the magma world."
"I see." Colt sighed regretfully but did not press further.
Meanwhile, Kong, the commander-in-chief of the World Government's forces, was visibly shaken.
As someone who frequently interacted with the Five Elders, he had a deeper understanding of the Celestial Dragons' internal hierarchy than most.
He had always suspected that there was someone above the Five Elders—the true sovereign of the Celestial Dragons, Im.
However, every time the topic arose, the Five Elders would evade the question or refuse to answer.
And now... she had been killed?
A deep sense of despair settled over Kong.
Was this truly the end of the World Government?
Colt spread his hands, looking at the stunned Marine officers.
His tone was calm yet persuasive.
"Look, the Celestial Dragons are all dead. The Marine Admirals are now under my command. Why resist further? You all know the truth of the world government and their atrocities, the broadcast is over, no need to act superior with your skewed justice sense... if anything, at least give me the chance to prove how I will change this world"
His words stung.
That was right... his words while they hurt, they were right.
Deep down they all knew it.
But there was someone who accepted it the fastest.
"Who said it's over?" Garp muttered as he rubbed the spot where he had been struck earlier.
"I know for a fact that some Celestial Dragons are still playing around on Sabaody..."
To be honest, after witnessing that Colt had eliminated the Five Elders and a group of Celestial Dragons, Garp's opinion of him had improved significantly.
If it weren't for his duty as a Marine, he might have wanted to do it himself.
As for being beaten in battle? If you lose, you lose.
He bore no resentment, only admiration for strength.
"Nice reminder." Colt smiled, as if suddenly realizing something.
"Kizaru, your speed is the fastest. Can I leave the remaining Celestial Dragons to you?"
"Leave it to me. I never thought I'd have the chance to carry out such an interesting mission in my lifetime!"
A rare grin crossed Kizaru's face.
After capturing so many pirates, it was finally time to deal with the Celestial Dragons.
His body shimmered into golden light, and he took off.
Before leaving, he added with a smirk:
"This one's on the house. No overtime pay needed~"
Colt chuckled and shook his head.
Kizaru had clearly been waiting for this day for a long time.
Whitebeard, having observed the unfolding events, glanced at his crew before turning to Colt.
"What do you want? Or rather, what do you need from the Whitebeard Pirates?"
"Leave my sons alone, and I'll cooperate as you see fit."
"Pops?!"
Marco and the other members of the Whitebeard Pirates looked at him in shock.
Colt nodded slightly, looking at Whitebeard with newfound respect.
He was a true man—someone who knew what he wanted and had fought for it his entire life.
Even Colt couldn't help but admire his character.
"It's simple. When the time comes, just cooperate."
"I can assure you that no harm will come to any of the Whitebeard Pirates—at least, for Sasuke's sake."
Sasuke looked at Colt gratefully.
According to Colt's original plan, at least half of the Whitebeard Pirates would have been dealt with.
Why? Because they would refuse to quit being a pirate.
Since Colt had now granted them mercy, at least they would be spared.
He didn't want Whitebeard to suffer more than necessary.
Hearing Colt's promise and noticing Sasuke's insistent gaze, Whitebeard thought for a moment before finally nodding in agreement.
"I don't trust you... but I trust Sasuke."
With that matter settled, Colt turned his gaze to the sky.
His expression grew colder, and the Susanoo behind him flared with renewed intensity.
"It's getting late. I need to return to my family. What's your decision?"
"Don't waste my time."
He didn't bother asking about Shanks or the Red Hair Pirates.
They would be detained for a while, but they posed no real threat to the overall situation.
The bunch were generally peaceful and practically were already what Colt intended to make of this world.
As his tone turned sharp, a terrifying pressure radiated from Kaguya's body.
"If you refuse to comply, I'll simply kill you all."
Aokiji's expression changed, and he quickly stepped forward.
"Colt, since you're busy, leave them to me. Go take care of your business."
"fisSengoku and the others just need time to process everything. They'll come around soon."
Colt glanced at him and nodded.
"Fine."
"In three days, I want a decision."
With that, he tore open a space rift and stepped through.
Kaguya cast one last glance at Sengoku and the others before silently following him into the void.
The two vanished, leaving the battlefield behind.
The dust had settled.
The world was on the brink of new change.
What do you think?
