Chapter 773: [Bonus (づ ◕‿◕ )づ] Second Move... but Best move?

"Put the barriers!!"

"Kill the monsters!!"

"SHIT!!"

BOOMMMM!!!

The students, who were supposed to be focused on writing their examinations, were now fighting for their lives as the monstrous creatures, appearing out of nowhere, began attacking them with savage fury.

And the worst part... they had Rainbow Arcane Crystals on their bodies!

Gave them a rest!!! All they wanted finish this fucked up exams and leave and then do all the destruction... they would think like that as if now!

"They're stron---arrrhh!!"

The students struggled just to defend themselves against the creatures, and the professors couldn't even manage to focus on more than one monster at a time, overwhelmed by the chaos.

Meanwhile, Dora was momentarily taken aback by the sheer number of these monsters that had suddenly appeared in her academy from seemingly nowhere.

But then she quickly snapped out of her stunned state, her face hardening as she unleashed her full killing intent.

The entire academy trembled in fear as the monsters, poised to devour everything in their path, suddenly halted. They could feel... deadly killing intent!!

Although the monsters were brainless, driven only by their hunger, the raw killing intent they sensed made even the weakest of them freeze in fear. They halted their movements, their instincts telling them to flee, but as they were about to scatter—an action that would've been disastrous—

Dora flicked her hands, and an invisible wave of pressure surged around her fingertips. The air seemed to tense before she released it, sending the wave shooting forward with deadly precision. In an instant, the monsters were pulled together, their bodies yanked like ragdolls as they were crushed into a single mass.

SLAM!!

CHUCK!

With a single, powerful wave of her hand, she flattened them down, turning them into a bloody meatpaste that splattered across the ground, their lifeless bodies crumpling under her immense power.

The monsters weren't that powerful even with Rainbow Arcane crystals, they didn't have stars in them which rather felt weird since she did see how Aether destroyed a hoard of Snake monsters who had Rainbow Cyrstal with one or two stars in it and now they didn't have a single star and completely weak to her, so she dispatched them without breaking a sweat.

But her mind was elsewhere. 'Where is that strong presence I felt earlier?' she thought, her brows furrowing. She had definitely sensed something powerful inside her academy, but now, it was nowhere to be found. Her eyes searched the surroundings, but—

"FUCKKKKK!!!" Dora screamed in shock, vanishing from her spot and appearing in the chamber she had just left only moments ago... only to be greeted by the sight of... empty chains dangling in the air.

Dora bit her lip hard, her frustration boiling over as she stared at the empty space where Alaric should have been.

"Fucking shit! You fell for this bait, you idiot!" she cursed herself, anger and regret lacing her words for letting Alaric slip away.

The monsters had only been a distraction, a well-planned bait to draw her out... Whoever had entered her academy had one clear goal: To take Alaric away.

"'Believe you,' you say? Bastard!" Dora's voice was seething, each word dripping with venom as her teeth ground together.

Dora hadn't had much of a choice when she sensed that overwhelming presence inside her academy, and in her instinctive panic, she reacted without thinking. Leaving her position had been a foolish move, but she never thought someone could take Alaric from her so easily.

That meant one thing: her territory was no longer truly hers!

"You'll pay for this," Dora muttered to herself, clenching her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white. The realization that her failure had made the situation worse sent a surge of rage through her.

But then, as her mind raced, she frowned. "How the hell could so many monsters enter my academy without alerting a single guard or even breaking the barriers?" she murmured, her thoughts tangled with suspicion.

The only way for someone to get in undetected was through teleportation, but only a handful of people possessed that kind of power. Even fewer had registered their energy signatures inside the academy, allowing them to teleport here without any restrictions.

Aether, for example, whose energy signature was not only registered with the academy but also with all of Dora's houses... so he could come and go to her house.

But this... this was different.

Only someone with the ability to bypass the academy's control could enter without leaving a trace!

But that's not possible because the Academy has a foundation Origin pillars were more powerful than anybody! Even she could enter without registering!

"Is the academy's security protocol broken?" Dora frowned deeply, her frustration and worry mounting as she clenched her fist tightly.

"First, I need to remove Alaric's energy signature so that he can never teleport inside again—" Her words suddenly stopped, and her pupils widened in pure shock as she realized one crucial thing she had completely overlooked.

This place was heavily restricted, with only sovereigns permitted to enter... That's why, even though Alaric had the power to teleport, he couldn't enter from this location.

That means...

"Argh! Fuck!! I fucking forgot to remove his energy signature from the academy!!" Dora shouted out in pure anger, slapping herself across the face in disbelief.

Yes, if Master Snape had still been alive, he too would have had access to the academy.

She had completely forgotten to remove his signature after his death, holding on to the piece of him that lingered as a way to remember her older brother. It was just a usual mix of guilt and affection toward him... but now, she realized it had been an unforgivable mistake.

But... Who could've ever imagined that the man—her beloved brother—was actually still alive, coming and going from the academy as if nothing had ever changed?

"If I'm right, all this time, he's been right here, under my nose?" Dora muttered, partially taken aback by how much she had missed, or more likely, how much Alaric had carefully made sure to remain unnoticed.

Still, how was he alive even though his fate was cut off?

Though the question was still lingering, she didn't have the choice to ignore it anymore!

She gritted her teeth, feeling the weight of her misplaced trust. She had placed so much faith in one person, and now, everything she had neglected was turning around and biting her back viciously.

Taking a deep breath to calm her mind, Dora reminded herself that even though she couldn't fully control her academy anymore—since her Sovereign rights were gradually slipping away with the new era of chosen ones—she still had a few things left at her disposal.

With a serious face, she teleported to the deepest part of the academy… The Origin Pillars.

Upon arriving at the familiar location, the stone door opened, revealing the same sight: twelve pillars arranged in a perfect circle, elevated along a winding path. She stepped forward, moved to her designated spot, and placed her Arcane card onto the pillar. The pillar flickered in response, displaying the energy signature she had previously recorded.

Ssssnnnngggg!!

It materialized before her like a hologram, its waves of energy rippling across the space before her.

Each one was unique, varying in wavelength and colour...

As always, her signature appeared in a calm pink, while Alaric's was a vibrant green, with long, sharp peaks and of course, there was Aether's signature, which was unlike the others, twisting and contorting in an unusual way—two distinct waves (Black and White) intertwined, rising and falling in a pattern that only he could produce.

Anyhow, as Dora continued scanning, her heart skipped a beat when she saw...

"What in the...?" Dora was taken aback by the list of energy signatures that were unfamiliar to her. There were at least four additional signatures that she had never registered or even seen before. And the most shocking of all… there was a golden wave—undeniably the energy signature of Master Snape!

Dora gritted her teeth in frustration, her anger flaring up again as she quickly removed those unknown signatures, as well as Alaric's.

"Now, let's see who dares to enter my territory without my fucking permission!" Dora muttered through clenched teeth, her fists trembling with a mix of fury and annoyance.

To be honest, it was her mistake and she clearly annoyed by that. If Aether Knew... she could not even say how he grateful was to have her as his master!

Just as she was about to leave the chamber, she decided to run a full scan for any other possible anomalies within the academy… just to be certain she hadn't missed anything or any clue that might have slipped past her due to her negligence as a sovereign!

"Hmm… everything seems to be fine," Dora muttered to herself as the entire academy projection materialized before her eyes, showing the people within it as mere dots—much like a radar, but a three-dimensional view of the whole academy.

She quickly scanned over the academy, scrutinizing every inch for any irregularities... until suddenly, she frowned,

A red dot had appeared beneath a building—one that had never had any space before.

She frowned, her thoughts racing, "Who is t—" But before she could even finish her words, that single red dot, multiplying rapidly, turned into hundreds of them.
