Chapter 31 - The Good-Natured Demon King (1)
"Are you hurt?"
"Of course not. These small frys are not my match."
"Amazing... Allen is very strong. I was surprised."
"Really?"
Charlotte praised Allen with a smile.
It made him happy. Shortly after, she turned her gaze at the trash lying on the ground and frowned a little.
"... What should we do with them? If we leave them alone, they will catch a cold."
"We could turn them to the authorities."
In all honesty, Allen would like to throw them into the sea area where sharks often appeared, but he would spare them for Charlotte.
Just when he was taking a breather--
"Oh, you two! That's...!"
"Huh?"@@novelbin@@
Suddenly, the shopkeeper shouted urgently.
When I looked in the direction she pointed, I saw a huge figure walking slowly toward me. At the new development, this place that had been rejoicing earlier once again fell silent.
The person walked in front of Allen and the others with the sound of the earth ... I didn't say anything, looking down at the trash and groaning.
The figure came in front of Allen and the others, with mini quakes in its steps... silently looking down at the trash and growled.
"This guy... was apparently protecting the young rogues."
The man that glared at Allen, was a person from the Rock Tribe.
As their name suggested, they were a race whose bodies were made of minerals. They were quite large, with an average height of about twice that of a human being. An attack launched from that chunky body was simple but boasted tremendous power.
The man in front of Allen also drank up the sake from the barrel and crushed it as if it were a piece of paper. Just with a sweep of a hand, even humans will be easily blown away.
Ah, it's the leader of the Cavern crew that the two trash were talking about earlier.
If one looked closely, one could see a group of about twenty people waiting behind him. All of them looked like the rogues Allen had just defeated, and they were all staring at them.
It looks like... things are going to get complicated again, Allen thought.
"Allen!"
"That's all right, Charlotte. Leave it to me... oh?"
After smiling at the trembling Charlotte, Allen turned to face the person from the Rock Tribe. But he suddenly raised one eyebrow and fell silent. Then, he stared at the giant in front of him and brought his hands together with a clap.
"Are you Megas by any chance?"
"... Is something wrong with my name?"
"Oh! It really is Megas!"
Megas, the person from the Rock Tribe, frowned quizzically.
Allen, regardless, happily talked to him. Thanks to that, the subordinates in the back looked at each other in wonder.
"Good gracious! It's been about seven years. Have you been well?"
"What the heck is with this friendly speech... I don't remember anyone like you!"
"Yeah, I guess it's hard to recognize faces when you're from different races."
Allen chuckled.
He was thrilled to see him again in a place he never thought he'd see.
And so he proudly introduced himself.
"It's me. Allen Crawford, from Academy of Magic."
"Huh!?"
At that moment, Megas' huge body trembled as if struck by lightning.
Charlotte, who was watching worriedly, as well as his subordinates, and the audience were all scratching their heads. But... soon they heard a gasp and a roar.
Boom!
It was because Megas got down on his knees vigorously on the spot.
He let out a trembling voice as he knocked his forehead against the ground.
"I am sorry, I didn't know you were the Great Demon Lord! Please forgive me for being rude! Please, I beg of you!"
"What shall I do?"
Smiling wryly, Allen deliberately stroked his chin.
What do you think?
