Chapter 26: CH-24 The realization
The trio exchanged a respectful glance before bowing in unison. "We will carry out the Chancellor's orders," they responded in a unified voice, their dedication evident.
Bai nodded, his gaze firm as he addressed them again, his tone commanding and resolute. "Do not disappoint me. This alliance is crucial for our fleet and in future or empire and our future plans."
The weight of his words settled over them, and they straightened, determination etched into their faces.
Back in the Void Fleet, aboard the Obliterator-Class Star Dreadnaught, the command center hummed with activity. Kallus stood at the epicenter of this technological marvel, his imposing figure framed by the glow of countless holographic displays. With his Authority of Knowledge, he needed only to focus his thoughts to begin accessing the vast reservoir of universal information. As his mind connected to this immense source, the influx of data was overwhelming. It was as if the universe itself had opened its archives to him.
For a fleeting moment, Kallus felt the sheer magnitude of the information threatening to drown his consciousness. The torrent of knowledge was staggering, and he realized that if not for his awakened soul and the unique trait of Cognitive Acceleration, he might have succumbed to the mental overload. He muttered a quiet thanks to the forces that had blessed him with these capabilities and steadied himself. He snapped out of his brief reverie, activating his Cognitive Acceleration. Millions of independent thinking compartments within his mind sprang into action, analyzing and processing the data at an astonishing rate.
In just ten minutes, the flood of knowledge had been absorbed, organized, and understood. Kallus's breathing deepened as he began to comprehend the gravity of what he had learned. His expression turned from calm focus to shock as the implications unfolded before him.
This universe, which he decided to designate as "U1," was not an ordinary one. It was a super-universe, unimaginably vast, thousands if not hundreds of thousands of times larger than a typical universe. Even its galaxies were colossal beyond comprehension. But it wasn't just the scale that set U1 apart—it was its very nature.
U1 was suffused with a multitude of supernatural energies, each more potent and exotic than the last. Mana, spirit energy, immortal spirit energy, true mana, origin mana, primordial mana, celestial energy—these and countless other forms of power coursed through its very fabric. These energies had fundamentally altered the universe's laws, enhancing every aspect of its existence. From the foundational principles of physics to the beings that inhabited it, everything in U1 was elevated to a level far beyond what Kallus had ever imagined.
Then came the revelation about the Solar System. Kallus discovered the reason why Earth and its surroundings had been devoid of these supernatural energies for millions of years. Long ago, an epic battle between two immensely powerful beings had unfolded nearby. During their clash, one of the combatants accidentally dropped a potent defensive artifact. When the artifact activated, it created a barrier that isolated the Solar System and an area spanning six light-years in every direction. This barrier had shielded the region from the energies of U1, preserving it in a state of mundane normalcy.
But now, the artifact's power was waning. Within two to three months, the barrier would fail, and the ambient energies of U1 would begin to flood the Solar System and Earth. The changes would be profound and irrevocable.
This isolation was both a curse and a blessing.
Kallus's mind raced as he processed this information. The influx of energy would trigger a cascade of transformations. Every organism on Earth would undergo enhancements and evolutions. Animals would become stronger, faster, and more intelligent. Humans, too, would experience significant physical and mental changes, potentially awakening latent abilities. Even Earth's tectonic plates, atmosphere, and magnetic fields would align to accommodate this cosmic resurgence. its environment adapting to accommodate the new energies.
But the return of ambient energy posed a far greater threat. The solar system's riches, once dormant, would awaken. The spiritual herbs and resources, now extinct elsewhere in the galaxy, would regrow under the influence of the energies. Kallus knew this would not go unnoticed.
Kallus's sharp mind recognized both the opportunities and the dangers this heralded. He knew that while this transformation could elevate humanity to unimaginable heights, it could also unleash chaos and conflict on an unprecedented scale.
The Galactic Threat
Civilizations and empires not far from Earth would soon sense the revival of these rare resources. Once dormant galactic powers, remnants of the ancient war, and opportunistic empires would target the solar system. These forces, drawn by greed and survival, would see Earth and its surrounding celestial bodies as ripe for exploitation.
Even if they hesitated initially, Kallus foresaw another inevitable source of conflict: the rise of the Void Star-Earth Alliance, the interstellar coalition Kallus envisioned forming. As humanity progressed, empowered by the return of ambient energy, they would inevitably come into conflict with other galactic civilizations. Whether over trade routes, territory, or resources, confrontation was unavoidable.
Kallus's Resolve
Kallus's mind raced, his millions of thought compartments working in unison to craft strategies. He knew Earth and its solar system would need to prepare for this new era—a time of prosperity but also of peril. The Void Fleet would serve as the vanguard, protecting the system while fostering alliances with friendly civilizations. Simultaneously, Earth would need to accelerate its evolution, training warriors, scientists, and strategists to defend against the coming storm.
Taking a deep breath, Kallus straightened. His authority granted him knowledge, but it was his will and determination that would shape the future. The solar system was on the brink of a new age—an age of wonder and danger. Kallus vowed to ensure it would rise to the challenge.
Kallus now realized that he needed to make several immediate changes to the Void Star Alliance. He felt quite thankful that they had only discussed and established a provisional alliance so far, which left room for adjustments. For now, he calmed himself, knowing there was still time to refine their plans.
but that would have to wait, at least for now
