“Yo-ho!” the bearded man stepped forward, sneering at Rebecca Brown, “Kid, with your puny frame, you dare to go against our Lord Ridge?”

She was once among the most powerful people under Aron Jackson, and though her current role with Fabian Percival wasn’t as prestigious as before, she remained a local powerhouse.

She didn’t take a small fry like Darnell Ridge seriously at all.

“What’s wrong? Don’t want to pay?” Seeing Rebecca Brown’s joking demeanor, Darnell Ridge became furious.

“Pay! Of course, I’ll pay!”

Rebecca Brown laughed, pointing with her finger towards the private room, “My money’s in there, come in with me.”

“That’s more like it!” Seeing her concede, Darnell Ridge beamed with joy, waving to those behind him, “Let’s go, guys! Dinner and drinks on me tonight, plus a special treat!”

“Let’s go!”

“Smart thinking!”

These people had no idea that endless peril awaited them.

Miss Thorneycroft didn’t enter, but stood at the door instead.

She despised her husband’s vile behavior and looked down on it.

“Move!” Cooper Ridge broke free from the restraints behind him and gave a cold snort before swaggering into the private room in front of Rebecca Brown.

“Fuck! Tired of living, huh! You even dare to extort Boss Brown!”

The man with the scarred face brandished a chair menacingly and walked over.

“Misunderstanding! Misunderstanding!”

Seeing the man with the scarred face, Darnell Ridge knew this was not someone to be trifled with.

He definitely had blood on his hands.

“Misunderstanding?” Rebecca Brown said with a cold snicker, “Just now, you were so arrogant, insisting on half a million.”
