Chapter 127 Have to leave after all
The arrogant voice that stabbed into Elias's ears was something that he could never forget. Even before looking at that person, he already knew who it was.
Out of all the places in the Academy, Dreke was right here, enjoying his life. He even appeared to be somewhat drunk, barely able to walk straight, relying on the support of the girls.
"Senior, there is someone, looking here!" A girl spoke up, catching sight of Elias in the distance.
"Which bastard dares?" Dreke raised his head and looked in the direction the girl was pointing with a hazy gaze.
"Hmm?" When he saw the person, he burst into laughter. "If it isn't that bastard..."
He took his hands off the girls, pushing them aside. With swaying feet, he walked closer to Elias.
"Senior!" The girls followed Dreke, who stopped right before Elias.
"You little bastard, what are you doing here?" Dreke asked, placing a hand on Elias's shoulder to steady himself. "Were you waiting for me, to beg for something?"
He lightly slapped Elias. It was light only by the standards of Elias. If there had been an ordinary human in his place, that slap would have been far from damaging. Dreke couldn't control his strength well enough when he was drunk.
"Do you also live here?" Elias asked, his expression unchanging, even though he wanted nothing more than to rip Dreke's head off right then and there.
"Heh, are you pretending not to know when you came here to beg? Did you want me to talk to the professors so they would treat you better?" Dreke slapped Elias once more, the strength behind the slap growing stronger.
"I will do you this favor, only if you fall to your knees and bark ten... no, twenty times!" He pushed himself back, almost stumbling. The girls stepped forward and quickly supported him, preventing his fall.
"Senior, who is he?" One of the girls asked, as Dreke looked like he knew the boy well enough. If he was treating the boy like this, then the boy shouldn't be anything special. At least that's what they thought.
"Did he offend you somehow? Should I teach him a lesson?" the other girl answered.
"Heh, can a little mosquito offend you? He is even more insignificant than that for me. I am Dreke Ashborn. If I was offended by trash like this, then I wouldn't be worthy of this last name!" Dreke spat out, his spit falling on the ground right before Elias.

The girls giggled, sensing that this was an opportunity for them, "You're so right, Senior. People like him doesn't deserve your attention at all."
One of the girls went one step farther, and started scolding Elias to win Dreke's favor. "You there! If you came to beg Senior Dreke, then behave like it! What are you doing, standing on your feet? Start begging!"
Elias looked on either side, as if trying to see if anyone else was there. He couldn't sense anyone else, which made him believe that he was all alone with these three. Was this a god given opportunity? He wondered.
He knew well enough that if he killed Dreke here, then the aftermath of that was going to be worse to deal with than anything, since this wasn't the land of fables.
Even if he didn't see them, he was certain that there were recording devices placed in this place. Everything that he did here, was going to get recorded for the future.
On one side was his revenge from the past, and on the other side was his future in this life. The choice should've been hard, but for him, it was as easy as it could ever be.
"Hmm? Are you deaf? Why aren't you falling on your knees? Do you need me to help you or something?" The girl grew even more arrogant when Elias ignored him.
The boy was definitely younger than her. And she was accompanying Dreke Ashborn. Shouldn't he be listening to her? The complete ignorance was something that she never expected.
"Fine! Then I will make you beg myself." She reached out her hand, making a whip materialize. She swung the whip forcefully towards Elias's knees.
Just as the whip was about to connect, Elias made a subtle shift in his stance, almost imperceptible, allowing him to evade the blow. The whip lashed the ground where he'd been standing a fraction of a second before, leaving a mark on the floor.
"You missed," Elias stated, his voice devoid of any emotion. It wasn't a taunt, but a simple observation, yet it carried a dangerous tone.
A screen had appeared before him, following the use of his analysis skill. He didn't focus on Dreke, but the two girls that were coming for him.
The analysis didn't go into much details about their past, but it did tell him what he wanted to know. Even though they weren't wearing the academy uniform, but the analysis confirmed that they were from the destroyer class.
There was one more stat in the analysis screen which he hadn't seen before.
..............
Total Lives Taken: 3,657,788,654
..............
"The girl, shocked at her failure, scoffed, "'You... you dodged it! You dare dodge?!'"
Her face flushed with anger and embarrassment, fueled by the silent amusement radiating from Dreke, who was watching the scene with blurry eyes.
"That's a lot..." Elias mumbled, looking at the numbers on the analysis screen of the two girls. "Maybe I might have to leave this place after all..."
The girls' numbers paled in comparison to what he saw in Dreke's analysis. The number of lives taken on his screen was more than even the entire population of Earth.
"Again!" the girl shrieked, and the whip lashed out once more, this time faster and more erratic. This time, Elias didn't dodge.
The whip struck his knees, but the girl didn't have time to be happy. A thin line of red spread from her forehead, going down, becoming thicker with blood. The whip fell from her hands as her body fell to the ground with a thud.
What do you think?
