Legendary Architect of Apocalypse

Chapter 175: Kill Aliath

Elias stood up, and looked back at the man that had materialized like a ghost.

The man was meeting his son, yet there was no greeting, or questions about his well being. He came straight to the point.

"Have you decided?" His question echoed across the room.

"I have decided. I will not return him to you." Elias stood up, and turned back to his father.

His answer didn't surprise the man. It was as if his father had already somewhat expected an answer like this. He only looked disappointed in that answer, as if it was truly a pity that things had come to this.

"Is that your final decision?" Silas asked, his sharp eyes glaring down at Elias as if looking deep within his soul.

This time, he didn't release any aura that could suppress or injure Elias. Instead, he simply stood there like an ordinary man, who didn't have even the slightest of supernatural abilities.

If Elias came across this man and didn't know him better, he truly would have thought that it was just an ordinary human from earth, and not one of the strongest existences of the universe.

"That is right. I-" Elias confirmed, but he seemed like he wanted to say something more.

He had already planned an answer. He knew that he couldn't return his brother, but he also couldn't fight his father who could truly obliterate him with a single thought.

That's why he had planned to ask for more time from his father. He knew that his father could always confirm that his brother was alive, as there was a soul lamp at home which confirmed their life and death.

It was something that the family started using, right after Aliath had gone missing with his fate being unknown. They didn't want the same thing to happen to the others, which made them create a soul lamp for every direct descendant.

As long as his brother was living, he didn't think his father was going to attack him.

It made him come up with a plan that was simple, yet the most effective. He just had to pretend like a child, who was still angry with his brother, but not to the point that he would kill him.

If he asked for more time to calm down, was there a reason for his father to reject it? It was a solution that came without any problems as long as his father agreed.

"Alright. If you have made up your mind, I will not interfere anymore." Silas turned around.

"Huh?" His reaction made Elias swallow his words that he was about to utter.

He didn't even tell his father that he wanted more time. He just said that he wasn't going to return Dreke, and his father agreed?

Was it still the same man who had almost crushed him to the ground the last time he was here? Why did he agree so easily, out of nowhere?

Something felt out of place. When he said that he will stop interfering, it felt surreal. Elias had a bad feeling about these words.

Did he mean that he would not interfere in his matters? Or was this interference about something else that had nothing to do with him?

He had a lot of questions in his mind, but there was still a sense of relief that Silas wasn't going to force him. Even if there was a problem in the future, he had at least bought some time for his trip to earth.

Now all that was left to do was to prepare for his trip to earth. Deep down, he was a little scared of seeing that place, which he once called home.

He wasn't even sure if his body from his previous life was still there, or if the Academy already destroyed all the bodies left on earth.

Even though it had only been a few weeks since he had transmigrated into the body of Elias Ashborn, it still felt like an eternity had passed since he left earth.

.....

"I assume you have failed?" Silas heard a voice, as soon as he stepped into the void.

"I gave him an opportunity, but he didn't listen. Everything that happens next, has nothing to do with me," Silas answered.

"Is that what you should be saying about your son?" the man asked, the golden robe on his shoulders fluttering behind him as he flew inside the void, accompanying Silas.

The two of them travelled thousands of light years with each passing second.

"I have interfered enough, stopping my wife from doing something foolish. If neither side wants to listen to me, then let it be. I will stop interfering. Whatever happens, will be their fate."

"Couldn't you have forced him? You could have ended it before it began."

"You wouldn't say that if you had seen his eyes. He would have died, but not listen to me. If he's going to die, then I don't want it to be through my hands. That's the last favor I will do for him as his father."

"I never said that you had to kill him. You could control his mind, and make him give up. Even though he would lose some sanity, he would still live."

"If only it was that easy. Don't forget who his mother was."

"I remember. The world calls you a monstrosity for your strength. How ignorant. If they knew more about his mother..."

"That's enough. Have you found what I requested from you?"

"Tch, only someone like you can order another Founding Family Patriarch to do such things."

"It was not an order to a patriarch. It was a request to a friend. We have to find Aliath at any cost. If he is dead, we need to retrieve his body."

"And if he is alive?" The unknown man asked, his voice growing somewhat uncertain.

"Then we have to kill him before he recovers," Silas clenched his fist, as he rushed through the void.
