Legendary Architect of Apocalypse

Chapter 181: Not a savior

After the Pirate left the room, Elias closed the door and walked over to the window to catch the glimpse of the battleships outside. He brought the Soul Beast Ring from the shadow realm, and wore it back on his fingers.

"They are definitely looking for someone. Are you not curious about it at all?" Astralious asked.

Elias brought out a packet of chips. He tore it open, and started eating.

"As long as it has nothing to do with me, I don't care. I have already gotten involved in the mess of other people quite a few times. I don't have the strength to do it again," he answered, before munching on the chips.

"The pirates are daring enough to invade the Academy's Battleship. Even though they say that it's to rob us, that man's initial reaction was quite strange," Astralious said, giving Elias more hints to increase his curiosity. "Their main purpose is definitely not robbery, but to find someone,"

"I noticed that the moment he looked at me. He's looking for someone, and that person is probably a boy as well. If it was a girl, he wouldn't take so long to verify."

"How can you say that? Maybe he found you quite feminine and thought that you might be a girl that he's looking for?"

"Can you stop taking advantage of the fact that I can't touch you?" Elias raised a brow, his hand itching for something really bad.

"Fine. He was looking for a boy." Astralious rolled his eyes in annoyance. "But do you truly not want to check? Why would the pirates take the risk of offending the Dimensional Academy for a mere boy?"

"Not all mysteries are meant to be solved. I'm not a hero that can go around saving people, especially the ones who will eventually be responsible for the destruction of millions of lives. If you're curious about it, you can go check it out yourself."

Even if Astralious tried to pique his curiosity, it didn't work. He couldn't care in the least about what the pirates wanted, as long as it wasn't related to them.

"You think I wouldn't check it out myself? The only problem is that I can't get too far from you. So even if I want to check it out, you have to come with me."

"Then you can just wait and relax. I'm not going to fight the pirates for your curiosity. I just want to reach earth, without any accidents. Everything else can be handled later."

"You're so boring." Astralious scoffed and paced back and forth across the room. After thinking for some time, he rushed to the door.

Even if he couldn't go too far from Elias, he could at least enter the hallway and wait for the pirates to return with the person they were searching for. At least he could find out their target.

He passed through the door like a spirit, and waited in the hallway where the pirates had just passed through after checking their room.

He waited for thirty minutes even though there were no significant movements across the hallway. It was only after the thirty first minute that he heard the sound of rushing footsteps.

Soon saw two pirates in the lead, carrying their weapons that were fully charged to kill anyone that came across them. Behind them, there was another pirate who was carrying a boy on his shoulders.

The boy's legs and hands were tied with unique-looking shackles that were made from bones which even Astralious couldn't recognize, even though they had the aura of a Constellation.

"They are made from the bones of a Constellation that was definitely stronger than me. The Pirates had made a lot of preparation for this. Just what are they planning? And who is this boy?"

He had been with Elias when they attended their first class. He remembered the rankings, which were topped by Elias. The man that the pirates were taking with them was also present in the ranking.

He was also a topper like Elias. The only difference was that he topped from the bottom. He was the last ranked person, out of all the surviving students in the batch.

He had stood out for Astralious since he had managed to contract a High Ranking Soul Beast, despite having the last rank. He was the only person who didn't come from the major family, yet succeeded in the land of fables.

"Where is his Soul Beast? Why isn't it trying to save him? Unless...?"

Astralious's gaze fell on the shackles around the boy's hands. "They prepared it for just that? How did they know that he had a decently strong Soul Beast? The more I think about it, the more suspicious it looks."

He stepped back, and passed through the door, returning to the room.

"They are right outside. They found their target and are taking him away."

Elias turned around, and asked, "Are you asking me to save him?"

"No. Things are more complicated than I thought. It's best if we stay out of it. It won't help us." Astralious shook his head. Even though he was curious about their purpose, it didn't mean he cared about protecting others to the point of risking his own life.

The pirates rushed past the corridor with the boy, and no one came across them to stop them. Almost everyone was staying inside the room, after being mugged by the pirates.

The staff was also staying near the control room, cursing the pirates. They didn't think that the pirates were actually going to kidnap a student.

Soon, the pirates reached the exit, where they came across the staff of the Academy for the first time.

"Wait, who are you carrying?" The staff of the Academy exclaimed in shock, only to have their heart be blown up by laser weapons.

The pirates had killed for the first time, and they didn't stay behind to see the aftermath. They quickly left the battleship, and entered their own battleship, severing the connection.
