Chapter 767: Chapter 767 - Shadow Wolves & Vensalor?
Leon, right after the dinner with his friends, headed back to his hotel with Lily. They didn't talk much in the car-not because Leon didn't want to, but because, for some reason, he suddenly felt exhausted.
Was this just the downside of being an introvert? No matter how much he enjoyed spending time with people, he always ended up feeling drained afterward. The moment the socializing ended, all he wanted was to collapse into a bed, bury himself under soft blankets, and shut out the world for a while.
It wasn't that he didn't have fun. He truly did. In fact, part of him wanted to stay in that moment a little longer.
Talking to his friends in the game was something he had done countless times over the past few years. By now, it had been almost two years in Yunatea time since he first became one of Divine Champions. But sitting across from them in real life, actually seeing them laugh, react, and exist beyond their avatars... it felt completely different.
Here, they were just regular people.

London, for all his wealth and presence, wasn't an archmage wielding endless magic spells- he was just an old rich man with a sharp tongue and a love for expensive suits.
And then there was Heejin-an international celebrity whose presence at their table felt like it attracted eyes from every corner of the room.
Even with five bodyguards stationed nearby, fans still hesitated before approaching. Some managed to sneak closer, timidly asking for photos before being gently but firmly turned away. It was impossible to ignore how Heejin's presence alone changed the atmosphere- even among friends.
Leon flopped onto his hotel bed, staring up at the ceiling as his mind drifted back to the night's conversations. The laughter, the energy-especially thanks to Ronald and Booyoung, who somehow managed to turn everything into a chaotic performance. Their table had been so loud that it practically became the center of attention for the entire restaurant.
Not that anyone would dare complain.
If anything, they had enough money to buy the entire restaurant and kick everyone else out if they wanted to.
Yes, they were that rich.
Even Freya-someone Leon had only recently gotten to know better-turned out to be insanely rich as well. That had been a surprise. But then again, at this point, was anything really surprising anymore?
Leon considered logging into the game. He still had about two hours of available login time, which translated to six hours in Yunatea time-more than enough for a meaningful session. But for some reason, tonight, he felt like sleeping normally in his own bed.
Maybe his mind just needed to absorb everything-the Eternal Challenge, the upcoming Duel of Champions, all the strategies he had to think through for tomorrow.
Because tomorrow, Leon would face his first opponent in the Duel of Champions.
His opponent was someone highly skilled with a spear, a well-known Epic-grade class user. According to Maylon, this guy wasn't just strong-he was also ridiculously agile, moving like an assassin while wielding a weapon meant for power-based combat.
And, of course, the man had challenged Leon publicly, live on air, demanding that they fight using only spears. The challenge had immediately gone viral, with countless people discussing whether or not Leon would accept.
A spear-only fight, huh? Alright. Leon made a mental note of it.
Well, maybe sleeping early wasn't such a bad idea for once.
Just as he settled into bed, his phone vibrated.
He grabbed it and glanced at the screen. A message from Olivia.
Ah, right. Olivia.
Marlene had also participated in the tournament, and earlier, Jovina had defeated her in the Beast Battle event. Leon hadn't actually met Olivia face-to-face yet since arriving.
He opened the message.
"Hi, handsome... a poor lonely girl is sitting at the lounge café downstairs, hoping a kind- hearted man will come and keep her company."
Leon chuckled.
Typical Olivia. The way she spoke in real life was so different from her in-game persona. Inside Immortal Legacy, she was cold, dangerous, and carried an almost villainous aura.
Here? She was just Olivia.
Leon got up from his bed, ran a hand through his hair to fix it, and swapped his shirt for something casual before heading downstairs to where she was waiting.
The moment he stepped into the café, the soft sound of jazz music filled the air. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and elegant.
And there, at one of the tables near the side, she was waiting.
A woman in her early twenties, with straight black hair and a casual indoor outfit, stood and waved at him gently, a peaceful smile on her lips.
Yes, peaceful.
If Leon had to describe it, that was the word. Because in the game? She almost never smiled. And if she did, it was usually a warning-the kind of eerie smirk that came right before someone's downfall. The infamous Marlene of Immortal Legacy was cold, ruthless, and deadly.
But right now, she was simply Olivia.
Leon walked over, and just as he reached her, Olivia stepped closer, greeted him with a soft kiss on the cheek, and smiled up at him.
"Hi. I'm so happy you actually came... well, even though I knew you would," she said, chuckling lightly.
Leon smirked slightly. "Hi, Olivia. How have you been?"
"Better," she said smoothly, her eyes playful. "Especially now that you're here."
Leon let out a small laugh as they both sat down, settling into an easy, familiar rhythm.
They ordered their drinks and talked for a bit, during which Olivia casually mentioned that she had once again rented a room at this hotel-just like she had done before when they were preparing to fight the Named Demon in Hell.
Leon wasn't exactly surprised.
In fact, he had already guessed she would do that.
But wait-why was he so sure? Had he grown overconfident, assuming Olivia would always
make the same choice?
No... it wasn't that.
It was just... her habit.
Technically, all Eternal Challenge participants had already been provided with rooms by the
event organizers. But considering the kind of wealth and status that came with being a blessed player and a well-known figure in Immortal Legacy, renting a luxury hotel suite was nothing to them.
After some more casual conversation, they shifted the topic to Marlene's participation in the competition. Turns out, there wasn't a single event that would have placed them in the same
match.
Olivia tilted her head slightly. "Next time, join the Beast Battle and fight me in the arena. What do you think?"
Leon chuckled and leaned back. "Before you start hoping to fight me, maybe you should focus on beating Jovina first, you know."
Olivia pouted for a moment, glancing off to the side before laughing as well. "You Vensalor
people are so annoying."
Leon smirked slightly. "Then why don't you join us?"
"Huh?" Olivia raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you getting arrogant now, trying to steal
Marlene from Shadow Wolves?" She leaned in slightly, eyes gleaming with playful challenge.
"Do you even have the qualifications to do that?"
"Okay, if you don't want to join, then just make an alliance with Vensalor," Leon continued casually. "Yes, Shadow Wolves with Vensalor."
Olivia narrowed her eyes slightly, as if assessing his words.
Leon leaned in slightly, a small smirk playing on his lips. "What do you think?"
What do you think?
