Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 264 High Priest

Lucas thought about what the High Priest said with seriousness.

'The issue is that I can learn everything with it?'

"The class was last seen as an option 400 years ago and that was the last time someone took it as well… it let the man make anything he wanted, leading to his demise. I won't say anything else… make your decision quick."

Lucas wanted to rebuke yet the High Priest just closed his eyes and arched in his chair as if he was not going to speak any further.

"He could make everything and that led to his demise… is it perhaps because he did not specialize in one thing and was slow in progress??" Lucas asked in patience.

The High Priest looked up and opened one of his eyes to look at Lucas.

"I see, you are not completely dumb. Good for you."

Lucas was going to speak yet the High Priest did not look to have stopped talking.

"You have unusual starting points for some skills but I won't ask how you passed the beginning simply because I don't care. But those will be the options that are the most beneficial, for you and for the town…"

After saying that, Lucas saw him close his eyes again and arch on his chair. But he could see a small smile on his face.

Lucas had already known about this problem, about multi-tasking and not focusing on one thing. While the others were all focused on only some skills, Lucas was going for some of everything. Be it crafting, be it fighting, be it knowledge gathering.

'I got it.'

CLICK

Lucas clicked on one of the options and the hologram closed completely, and yet another one opened right away.

The High Priest opened his eyes to see the results and the second he looked at the hologram, his left eyes twitched and a frown formed on his face.

"I don't understand you… BOY."

"I want to learn everything," Lucas said in seriousness and started looking at the hologram again.

The High Priest looked at Lucas for a long time but Lucas was engrossed reading the new messages he got regarding his class.

"…" Lucas was reluctant to say anything but to the High Priest's surprise, he was smiling ear to ear.

The amount of satisfaction he gained from just gaining these skills was unbelievable but the last part was where he was a little confused.

'Is there supposed to be another class-related upgrade after this one??' He thought.

The High Priest scanned his vision and noticed that he was looking at the last point.

"Yes, BOY. Your recklessness has caused us to get another useless dimwit, congratulations. It will take you years to just move a few levels in just one trade normally and you have 5? You know these trades give you additional skills the more you advance, right? Did this batch master take you here without educating you?"

Lucas kept hearing the man say one thing after another. He didn't know most of this stuff and it was actually very helpful.

When he was finally done, the High Priest stopped and kept looking at him as if asking him what he did just now and why.

"I thought you didn't care?" Lucas could only say this much.

Soon, fury formed on the man's face that Lucas had seen for the first time.@@novelbin@@

"Lad, if not for the fact that you are still somewhat useful to the town. I would have killed you… Get out of my sight. We are done here." Suddenly, his eyes had gone cold and the way he looked at Lucas had changed completely.

This made Lucas feel bad about saying something so blunt to him when actually, the High Priest had only given him good information, in his own bitter way.

Lucas looked back and saw Zen still unconscious on the ground.

He pulled him up by the shoulder and started dragging him along without worry only to stop and look back one time.

"Sorry about that, I lost my cool," Lucas said and before the High Priest could say anything, he left.

The High Priest was bewildered while looking at the opened gate, suddenly, 2 people armed with golden-colored pristine armor appeared out of nowhere.

"Your Grave, how could you let that vermin talk to you like that?!" The man to the left came in the front with a dramatic tone.

But when the golden armor-covered man could not even say anything else, he saw something that was soul-shattering.

"A-Are you… smiling?"

"Hm? Do you think I can't smile? Who gave you that idea?" The High Priest asked yet also fake coughed.

"Keep an eye on that kid. I need… no, I want to know the reason behind such arrogance and confidence. He even had the option of getting a Leader type class."

"What?!"

Both the golden armor-covered soldiers became dumbfounded making the High Priest nod in response.

"I need each and every detail of what he does. You both are dismissed now."

With that, the Head Priest closed his eyes again, seeing him, both the soldiers didn't even take a full second to vanish into thin air.

Lucas went his way outside the church with Zen in tow. All this time, he had only one thought in his mind.

'When did I become so arrogant?'

Lucas could not understand this fact, was he like this with his people in the territory too?

Now that he realized, Lucas was the person that everyone respected and talked with politely for a long time now.

It made him arrogant but the arrogance was respected as a leader of the territory.

Yet now he was not a leader, he was a citizen of a town.

Lucas decided, with great powers, he now needed to learn some humbleness too.
