Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 279 Trauma and troubles

The whole day went by with Lucas only performing concoctions. Sam was attending to any question he had any time Lucas wanted.

When his training was coming to an end, Lucas started feeling sleepy again, he saw the time which was three in the morning and after bidding farewell to his master, he went to his room again.

Fortunately, Lucas did not find Mary or his brother when he was going back.

Reaching his room resulted in a fine sleep but Lucas made sure that he got up early. The next day was important, it was the day he was going to meet that berserker.

While he wanted to learn everything, he was not so privileged to be able to perform only that.

He still had the darkness inside him to keep in control, he needed to kill some stuff before he would itch and kill some goblin or non-human in the town.

Lucas made his way to the city hall where he was supposed to meet the guy, for some reason, he even forgot his name.@@novelbin@@

The way to the city hall was very peaceful, he even saw that goblin sitting idly like before, its stall was still full but it was the morning so Lucas didn't think he would have a problem selling them.

In a few minutes, he was there in the city hall and before he could enter it, there he was, the guy he talked to in the line, when the man saw him, he started waving like an idiot and shouting toward him.

"Lucas! I am here!! Come!" Mark shouted, he was near the main gate of the city hall and many people stared at him weirdly yet the man had some balls of steel, Lucas could tell.

'Either he is an idiot or so great that everyone seems to be ants to him…' Lucas with a big smile waved back at him.

He didn't care what others were thinking about the guy, in his eyes, everyone there could be trampled on.

Lucas took a sniff from the air and felt disgusted, he really didn't like this non-chaotic and peaceful environment.

There were no signs of killing intent from anyone. Even Sean had the ability to exude some on an occasional basis.

"Hello, how have you been?" Lucas said while offering him a handshake.

"Oh come on, we are closer than that." Mark came close and directly hugged him, the other kept laughing from the sidelines.

Some had stopped to look at the drama as much as possible.

Lucas had a vein pop in his forehead yet he still kept smiling and broke the hug.

"Want to go somewhere to eat?" He asked casually.

"Alright!"

Just like that, Mark and Lucas went toward the nearest eating place.

Mark didn't seem to stop speaking anytime soon and Lucas regretted his decision already.

Yet when he took a look at Mark's hand, his smile became genuine. There were calluses and bruises all over his hands and arms as if he had trained a lot.

'From the looks of it, he uses a sword too…'

Lucas could not see any sword anywhere near than man's body. He felt conflicted by his lack of security.

He himself was different, even his hands were proficient enough to fight.

"This looks like a fine place, lets eat some seafood bro!" Mark went inside a seafood place that looked very cheap.

Yet Lucas sniffed the air and smelled the aroma of the herbs and spices being used to make the food.

He went with him and sat in one of the places.

"We will have your best, pops!"

"Coming right up!" The man at the counter said while making the food himself. It was a small place yet there were still a considerable amount of people sitting there.

"By the way Lucas, when you left, your brother met me a the city hall," Mark said with some concern.

Lucas felt confused, the guy was finally not shouting.

Pain struck his head again and it was not normal, Lucas fell from his chair and screamed till his throat became sore.

He couldn't hear anyone near him and whoever tried to touch him, he fought back. Even the hand of someone felt disgusting.

Lucas felt the same trauma the previous Lucas felt, this brother, was like the demon itself for the previous Lucas.

The trauma was not like he wanted to brawl out crying but he was shivering all over.

"Lucas! Wake the fuck up!"

"Hm?" Lucas finally heard a voice and his eyes regained focus, the whole shop was a mess with tables and chairs broken, one guy on the ground with a broken hand screaming and the owner trying to protect the guy.

It was a total mess, Lucas was in a headlock by Mark who was using as much strength as he could muster.

Lucas was still trembling, it was a feeling he never had before, even that darkness didn't have such an impact on him.

'Just what did the previous Lucas go through…" He thought.

As the chaos settled, Mark's grip loosened, and Lucas found himself gasping for air, his mind a mixture of confusion and fear. The scent of seafood was now mixed with the sharp smell of sweat.

"Lucas, talk to me, man. What just happened?" Mark's voice was laced with worry, but Lucas could only shake his head, unable to articulate the storm of emotions raging within him.

"G-Guards!! Help!!" The owner screamed after seeing some guards enter the shop.

"What happened here!? Was he the one who did this?" One of the guards in silver armor asked the owner who only nodded.

"We will do the interrogation later, for now, get him to the cell." The guard that came later said with a calm face.

His gaze pierced Lucas's eyes yet the guard was the one that was surprised.

Lucas's eyes were very sharp right now while he tried to suppress this new trauma back inside.

SCHWING!

A sword came out of a scabbard and reached Lucas's neck instantly.

"Don't you fucking move..."
