Chapter 237 237: RAHHH, NOT FAIR, IT'S NOT FAIR I TELL YOU!

"Far stronger…than he shows…" Rolling the concept around in his head, Aoni found it to be possible, considering he was technically doing the same thing by hiding his true Displays.

"Aoni, everyone inevitably has their secrets, and as your parents, neither one of us will ever push to find them out. It's the same thing we have done with all your brothers and sisters." Loosening her grip and showing real affection for her son, Lea stated endearingly.

"Be it having some kind of artifact or secret method of getting stronger, or even a hidden girlfriend or five…"

"COUGH!"

"Darling…five?"

"What? If my baby wants five wives, he can have five wives, HMPH,"

"Ah…Mom…ugh…ack…" Feeling the pressure on his skull suddenly return, Aoni struggled to keep his vision from going black while glaring at his Father as if he were a natural-born enemy.

'IF YOU'RE GONNA SAY SOMETHING STUPID, LEAVE ME OUT OF IT!' he cried in his mind, only to feel the pressure on his head lessening again.

"E…either way…cough, your secrets are your own, and the only thing we will ever ask of you is to live your life how you wish, and if ever there comes a time where the family needs you, be there for us just like we have always been for you." Avoiding the laserbeam glares aimed at him, Jason was really trying his best not to piss off his wife further.

I mean, just thinking about his poor son being eviscerated by five miniature versions of Lea was enough to make the man wonder if he should have a long talk with Aoni at a later date.

"Ho-hum, Anthony should be returning in about an hour or so, so we can talk about this then, now, since you were so late coming home…" Changing her grip on Aoni's head, Lea transferred from claw hands to knuckles again and began drilling…only for her son to make a strange sound that caused her to freeze and look at him strangely.

"Ahhh, NOoOooooO! Meep."

"Did…did you…did you just meep?"

"No…yes…where am I again…" Blinking multiple times in confusion and even bringing a hand to his mouth, Aoni truly had no idea why he muttered the telltale freakout noise Glacia usually makes, but even he was a bit startled by it.

---

Just like Lea said, around an hour and 15 minutes later, Anthony returned from Genovia and was startled to find his youngest brother and Father both half dead with metaphorical souls leaving their bodies.

"Uh…do I wanna know what happened to them?" He asked while taking his seat at the dining room table as per usual.

"Hmmm, don't mind them, sweety. Have you eaten yet?"

"No, ma'am, I specifically had a light breakfast so that I could enjoy your home-cooked food."

'This bastard! Always saying the right things to avoid peril!' Aoni mentally screamed while flinching in his seat.

To be fair, as the oldest child, of course, Ant would have more leeway with Lea as he was the miracle baby and all that jazz; however, it needed to be said that of all the siblings, he was the most adept at navigating the stormy sea named Lea, and no matter how far back Aoni tried remembering he couldn't think of a single incident where he saw his eldest brother so much as earning a glare from their Mom.

---

Sometime later, after being filled in on the situation, Anthony sat with his chin resting atop elbow-propped hands and stared at Aoni with a calculative gaze.

"I see; that does make things a bit complicated; first off, let me ask you something extremely important: how much of the Troll blood did you save?" He asked, causing Aoni to respond by holding up six fingers.

"Mm, six jars, that's not bad, although it's not much, I should be able to get a hefty sum of money for it…"

"No, Ant…six chests full…oh wait, I guess I haven't shown you guys those yet, here catch." Opening his inventory and tossing one of the breathing boxes across the table, Aoni watched his brother snatch it out of the air and pop the lid.

"Holy…shit! Did you make this? AONI WHAT THE HELL MAN!"

"Brother, your mask is slipping," wearing a creepy smile, Aoni whispered as his eyes darted to Lea.

Apart from being called something like Mother, Lea only had one other Pet peeve, and that was SWEARING.

Unfortunately, Mr. Cant-Do-Wrong-In-Mommy 's-Eyes was ignored as she held out a hand to examine the cellphone-sized wooden box apparently crafted by her youngest son.

"This thing has to be the size of a swimming pool, and you're telling me you have SIX of them filled with 2-Star Ice Troll BLOOD?" Instantly handing it over to his Mom without asking a single question of why she wanted to examine it, Anthony grilled Aoni for details.

"Uh…yeah, well, it's pretty common knowledge that Troll blood can be used for a bunch of things, from potions to body upgrades, so I kind of just, you know, held the trolls over the boxes and let them drain." Scratching his cheek because it was only part of the process he'd come up with, Aoni really didn't see anything wrong with his actions.

"Sigh, of course you did; I shouldn't even be surprised. Regardless, this changes things; if you really have so much of the blood, then you and your summons can use it. Although it won't give a Rank or Grade increase, your physical numbers could be increased by a significant margin. With so much blood, there's even a strong possibility of obtaining a Regeneration Passive." The longer he spoke, the quicker his words came out, indicating that Ant was getting a bit TOO over-excited.

"Oh…kay…I assume that means you want me to hand over the other ones so you guys can use them, too, right?" Leaning away from the table because Ant was practically standing on it by this point like a weirdo, Aoni retorted, only to earn a scoff from not only his brother but his parents, too.

"Hardly; I mean, we wouldn't say no, but only travelers can get stronger by using the blood, and even then, I'd never be so uncultured as to demand or even request such a thing. I merely wanted to let you know that you should keep some for yourself to use instead of trying to load it in the market." Shaking his head and waving his hand dismissively, Ant's eye twitched suddenly before snapping his fingers, erecting a barrier around Lea and glaring at the closed door leading to the kitchen.

BANG

"WHAT THE HECK IS THIS I'M HEARING ABOUT MY DUMMY BIG BROTHER GETTING TO GO TO BABY BROTHER'S TERRITORY FIRST AND NOT ME!"

"RAHHH IT'S NOT FAIR! IT'S NOT FAIR, I TELL YOU!"

As if a grenade had been set off, the kitchen door exploded into the dining room as a furious Clara burst onto the scene.

"How did she even hear about that…" Aoni mused, only to be swept up in a princess carried by his eldest sister a moment later.
