Chapter 76 Cross your Fingers, Do a lil Dance, and Pray (1)

Standing before the Blood colored Artifact, Aoni glanced down at Glacia before addressing her.

"Cross your fingers, do a lil dance, and pray we get you some new friends, Glacia!"@@novelbin@@

"GAOOOOOOOOO!!" Whether or not the ball of fluff fully understood the meaning behind his words was uncertain; however, based on her loud Gao followed by subsequent butt wiggles, Aoni knew his intentions had gotten through to her, causing him to smile.

The last five days' worth of effort had been for this moment; some may think he was merely biding his time until his counter was full, but in truth, that wasn't necessarily the case.

In his mind, he couldn't fathom having to deal with his daily chores and potential new bodies. That's why he wanted some type of infrastructure in place, even if it could only be seen as the bare minimum.

For example, weren't you supposed to "Baby-proof" your home after having a child? Well, the same conclusion could be made when compared to what the lad had completed around the mountain peak.

Everything was in a specific location; all tools and harmful or, worse yet, fragile materials were stored away from potential small hands.

And a perimeter had been established around the platform in the form of a three-foot-tall Rockwall, something which, unfortunately, had caused not only a significant amount of effort on both Aoni and Glacia's part but had eaten up nearly two days' worth of daylight.

Mind you, it was more of a deterrent than an actual blockade, considering just about anything Aoni would summon from the Flume could easily jump over it, but hey, if a doggy gate works because it's a physical object in the path of the dog, it should have the same effect on new summons…right?

Even the interior of the Cave had changed drastically; while it may not be massive changes, like suddenly jumping from a roach motel to a five-star hotel, the Cave definitely felt more like a home than before.

Notably, the presence of a mounted trophy hung above the fireplace, as it was a crown achievement for Glacia; after all, it was the Chimera with the most points on its antlers.

The rocky walls of the Cave and floor had been covered with wooden planks, and Aoni had made plans to build a door or maybe a gate to cover the entrance.

The bed was no longer out in the open either, since the lad had extended out the wall and turned the space around the bed into a small, ok, TINY bedroom.

Best of all was the fact that by adding the wooden walls and floor, the Cave was better insulated against the cold, which had finally returned a couple of days ago.

If you didn't know any better, upon walking into the Cave, you wouldn't believe you were walking into…well, a cave, but instead a normal log cabinish house, with the only difference being the tall rocky ceiling, which in time, Aoni had plans on changing.

Five days of preparations and a wealth of progress points were nothing to scoff at, and seeing as it was mid-day, it was evident that Aoni had been running around all morning getting things finalized.

So, while Glacia did an adorable happy dance, Aoni arranged his mental state because using a multi-summon was a bit different from regular single summons.

The incantation and even execution were more akin to that of a literal gacha video game, where instead of the Flume spitting out a random thing, it would instead spit out 10 or more glowing orbs of light.

These lights would float in front of the Flume until the Lord claimed or crushed them, and only then did they reveal the contents of the summon.

Taking a deep breath and using his knife to slice open the palm of his right hand, Aoni firmly placed it against the Flume and spoke out the incantation, which would, hopefully, yield something useful.

"Iglateem Sumano, drincat Teniso baleactum vescintat Jesahom, hetusim Multatium."

*hhhhhhhuuuuuUUUMMMMM*

Like with any other time the Flume was activated; it suddenly sprang to life as a film of light flowed out from the edges, then filled its open mouth, along with a faint humming sound that grew louder with each passing second.

Watching the Blood Red Artifact carefully, Aoni didn't get his hopes up but stayed optimistic as he scooped up Glacia and took several steps back in order to leave space for the appearance of the 10 orbs.

Then…

Pop

The first orb of light shot out and hovered at eye level with the lad, some 2 feet away from the Flume…

'First one is Grey…'

Pop

'Second one grey…come on…'

Pop

'Grey again,' staring at the glowing orbs, which ironically enough followed the color chart of the Flumes Rank system, Aoni didn't blink as the fourth pop occurred.

Pop

'YES, RED! RED IS GOOD,' Furiously petting Glacia's head out of excitement, as this red Summon would be, at the minimum, a natural 2-Star summon, Aoni felt ecstatic; meanwhile, Glacia was practically purring, having instantly lost interest in the strange, basketball sized floating orbs.

Pop

'Grey, don't mind, don't mind, totally fine,'

Pop

'Another Grey, we still got a Red; that's all that matters,' with only four summons remaining, Aoni could feel his heart rate accelerating because tomorrow was his last day of earning daily charges, and if he wanted to do another multi-summon, it would take almost a year…that is unless he burned points to get more.

Pop

Pop

Within a few seconds of each other, two more Grey orbs appeared, and by now, the lad had accepted the fact that he was going to have shit luck; after all, even if there were a single red orb, that wouldn't be the difference between heaven and Terra, but when the 9th pop, occurred, a faint wind blew through the Cave, as it halted is momentum and lined up with the others. POP~~~

"YES! ORANGE! THAT'S A NATURAL 3-STAR SUMMON!" Jumping in joy, Aoni tossed Glacia into the air, making her oOo in joy before catching and cradling her to his chest as the anticipation of his final summons slammed into him like a ton of bricks.

"This is it; the last summon for a while; please be something good, please be something good, PLEASE!"

"GAOOOO!" Matching her Lord's intensity, Glacia chimed In while watching the glowing Flume charging up to spit out the 10th and final summon…and then.

POP! FWOOOSHHH!~~~~~
