Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!

Upon the return of his two adorable summons, who yet again sang the whole way up the mountain, Aoni herded them into the cave, much to their confusion, before pulling out his trusty, handy-dandy-picture book and beginning his story.

Given her intelligence, the Lad believed that Nyria should, to some extent, understand the meaning behind what he was saying; then again, her mental age was probably between the ages of a 7-year-old and 9-year-old child, so it was still to be seen.

Regardless, his crudely drawn pictures and carefully planned explanations should be enough to get his point across.

"Alright, I have been waiting to do this for some time, but seeing as there will be some changes on the mountain in the near future, I think the time is now." Starting by sitting on the floor in front of his summons, Aoni drew a picture of himself, Glacia, and Nyria, earning some chee-laughter from the fledgling as it was her first time seeing his….Artistic abilities.

"Now, who knows the difference between the three of us?" Aoni asked, using his kindergarten teacher voice, something he had picked up after many stressful experiences with the furball.

"Gao?" looking down at her paws, Glacia could vaguely understand what he had asked, so she quickly brandished her claws and gaoed.

"Chee?" meanwhile, Nyria, following suit, flapped her wings as if asking if that was the answer.

"I mean, yeah, that, but I mean something like this," smiling and giving them both a quick head pat as a "good job," he sketched out a picture of Glacia running on the snow, followed by one of himself falling into it.

"We each have special abilities that make us unique from each other; for example, Glacia, you can run and slide across the snow with ease; meanwhile…" pulling up his Summon's Display, Aoni tried to find an example for Nyria so she didn't feel left out.

"Nyria, you have something called Dynamic Vision," drawing a crude bird, and making Nyria chee harder, he drew some cones coming out of Picture Nyria's eyes that seemed to zoom in on a tree, followed by some lines to show she was flying.

"Dynamic vision allows you to see details of moving objects, even while flying around and moving; basically, you have SUPER VISION!" Making it seem like an awesome ability, Aoni pried open his eyes and bounced to his feet while flapping his elbows like a bird, much to the enjoyment of both summons.

"For me, though, my special ability is quite different; Glacia has seen it in action many times, and it is what lets me not only get stronger but make other things stronger, for example…" Looking around the room, Aoni suddenly got a bright idea and ran into the bedroom real quick to retrieve Glacia's pillow.

Sitting back down in front of the two, the Lad noticed Glacia's attentive and quite frankly intimidating glare, as if she were saying with her eyes, "YOU BE CAREFUL WITH THAT!"

"You see, people like me, Lords, or as we call ourselves, Travelers, have a special ability called Attributes, and mine does a few things," turning back to his Summon's Display, Aoni saw the stats for the pillow and nodded; before holding it toward Glacia and Nyria.

"Both of you feel the pillow and give it a gentle tug. Get a good understanding of what it is, and I will show you my ability." With an encouraging smile, he offered it to them both and watched as they did as asked, albeit confused as they did.

"Now, by doing this…" pausing his words, drawing the pillow back, and placing his free hand on it, Aoni went ahead with the upgrade.@@novelbin@@

'Again,' noticing not much had changed, Aoni went ahead and rapidly increased the durability of the pillow from Unranked to G+ before presenting it back to Glacia and Nyria.

"You two may not have noticed it, but I was able to raise its durability, so now it's quite a bit tougher." Watching as the two carefully tugged on the pillow, they noticed that not only did it seem more elastic, but also its resistance to not only Glacia's claws but Nyria's talons had increased by several times. Not only that but the few holes which had been punctured in it the night before were magically gone.

"And if I do this," drawing the pillow back to himself, Aoni went ahead and increased its Grade, maxing it out at the Full-Star Step.

That was when all three of them noticed a DRASTIC change in the pillow's appearance. Not only did it magically become fatter, indicating it had more stuffing, but it stretched out quite a bit, growing by a solid foot in length and half a foot in width.

There was also a faint sheen to it, well, more like a sparkling effect, which Aoni knew to be due to it having reached the Full-Star Step.

To top it all off, instead of being made of a coarse fabric, not unlike burlap, now it felt almost like cotton.

These changes amazed Glacia, who immediately dove into the pillow while Gaoing due to how comfortable it felt against her face.

Nyria wasn't about to be left behind either, and with a soft flap of her wings, she, too, dove into it, enjoying the sensations.

"Okay, okay, that's enough, haha; you guys will get plenty of time to play with it later," coaxing the two back to their spot across from him; Aoni returned the pillow to the bed and sat back down with a semi-serious expression.

"Unlike that pillow, when I upgrade a living being, it's not so simple. Glacia, all those times I got hurt, it was because of my Attribute, so there are some drawbacks." Wanting to make sure they knew it wasn't a joke, Aoni added a stern edge to his voice, Causing Glacia to immediately remember all those times she felt useless to help him.

"Still, it's different for you two because, unlike me, the worst you guys will get is sleepy, maybe a tummy ache." Seeing the worry appearing in the floof's eyes, Aoni gently pat her head a few times, causing Nyria to look up at him warily, as she could sense his sadness.
