“Unbelievable, you managed to build a clan house in just ten days…”

“Ah, Irina-san!”

Irina, the person with the highest authority over Glendale’s Adventurer’s Guild, also came. Our clan house is right across the main street from the Adventurers' Guild, so a lot of adventurers watched in awe while it was being built at an unimaginable speed. Irina-san was also keeping an eye on the construction, apparently. “Oh, Irina, it’s been a while.”

“How have you been, Tina-sama.”

Irina bowed deeply towards Tina. I heard that Tina had saved her life in the past.

“Congratulations on the establishment of the Clan and the successful completion of the Clan House.”

“Thank you.”

“A-And…Uhm, I heard that you are expecting.”

“Fufu, yes, that’s right.”

Tina glanced at me, then she placed her hand on her belly when she answered Irina’s question.

“My sincere congratulations!”

“Thank you. You yourself have been quite accomplished in the time that we haven’t met, right? Congratulations on becoming the Adventurer’s Guild Master. You’ve worked hard.”

Tina gently patted Irina on the head while praising her.

For those with elf blood, Tina was a revered figure, something akin to their idol. Irina happily blushed after being patted.

By the way, that ‘a while’ that Tina mentioned? It’s actually 30 years or so already. I'm amazed once again at how different elves' sense of time is.

“Irina-san, did you come out of your way to congratulate us for the completion of the clan house?”

We just finished building the clan house today, so it wasn’t furnished yet. The top brass of the adventurer’s guild in the capital came, and yet we can’t properly receive our guest.

“That’s the second reason. Tina-sama is also here now so I was able to congratulate her in person, but my main purpose is this.”

Irina handed me an envelope. She told me that I can open it here, so I did that right away.

“Application for Participation in the Ultimate Clan Battle — goodness, this is…!!”

“I heard that you already thought of establishing a clan from when you first started being an adventurer. You already knew about this obviously, right?”

“Y-Yes!”

What is the entity considered as the strongest in this world? That would probably be the deities, after all, they’re the ones who created this world.

However, the deities cannot manifest their full power in the realm of humans. In that case, the next in line would be the spirit kings. The demons who were undefeatable unless you possess the power of the spirit kings can also be considered strong.

So doesn’t that mean the Ernol family, who can all defeat those demons, are the most powerful?

Actually, it’s fine even if we declare that we’re the strongest. However, it’s just a self-proclaimed title.

Unless the entire world recognizes you as such, you can’t call yourself powerful, in my opinion.

Don’t you think it’s admirable to become an existence that all the people unanimously agree to be the most powerful in this world?

I want the entire world to acknowledge everyone in my family – my clan 【Familia】– as the most powerful people alongside me.

I myself believe that it’s true, that Ernol and Familia are the strongest bunch of people, and I aspire for the world to recognize that truth.

The whole world knows about this event that crowns the strongest of the strong. It’s called the “Ultimate Clan Battle,” and it’s held every five years.

By the way, a “clan” refers to a group of at least ten people. So, if you’re confident in your skills, you can register even if you’re not an adventurer.

However, since it’s a life-threatening event, there’s an age limit. If you’re not part of an adventurer clan, you have to be at least twenty years old to join. That’s the reason why I decided to become an adventurer.

The strongest from around the world gather to compete. It’s not just about raw fighting power; there are also competitions that test skills and knowledge, apparently. There are different categories, and the clan that wins each one gets to call themselves the best in that category until the next Ultimate Clan Battle.

That’s the sort of massive event it is.

During the event, a global ceasefire is agreed upon. Even countries at war send in their champions, so it’s kind of like a proxy war, apparently. Honestly, if they just settled everything like that, the world would probably be a more peaceful place…

But whatever, that’s not the point.

What really matters is that I wanted to show off my awesome family to the whole world, so I decided to join the Ultimate Clan Battle. That’s why I became an adventurer and formed a clan.

And now, I’ve got the entry ticket in my hand.
