Atlas watched as the trio stopped in front and the leader, who was a man in his thirties, was staring at Amethyst's chest with lewd eyes as the others licked their lips. Without a warning, he moved forward.

''That's fine, mother will keep the others occupied and Noorah here will just sleep,'' he answered.

Once they vanished, the trio started eating as Atlas tried some steak and enjoyed every bite, as Amethyst commented. ''When will we be attacking the empire? I don't think we'll see them in northern Astoria for years.''

''Not yet, I'm going to relax for a while before cleaning out the southern part of the continent,'' he revealed while eating some dumplings. ''With you girls and my monsters we can clear the enemies out in no time.''

The two women agreed as Amethyst looked at him and spoke sweetly. ''At least we can spend more time together now.''

Atlas nodded with a smile as the three kept eating. Less than an hour later, Noorah yawned, shifted into her fox form, clambered into his arms, and curled into a ball to fall asleep, causing the phoenix woman to smile.

''I love seeing her and Lilith sleeping on you,'' she said as the couple left the tavern behind. ''I find it adorable.''

After that, they strolled through the capital, taking in the sights and sounds while enjoying each other's company. Hours later, the sun began to set, the pair headed toward an inn they'd spotted earlier on their walk to secure a room for the night.

The couple rented out a room and was relaxing while waiting for their snacks as the inn staff offered even more food. Atlas happily accepted it, which made Amethyst giggle. ''I'm surprised you're not fat yet with all the stuff you eat.''

''You would still love me if I was a land whale,'' he replied with a chuckle when a boom echoed out from outside.

Atlas jumped up and stepped onto the balcony, followed by Amethyst, as fireworks exploded in the sky above the city. The bright colors lit up everything around them as the young woman commented in an amazed voice. ''So beautiful.''

They stood side by side on the balcony, gazing upward as more fireworks erupted in a dazzling display above the city. The night sky bloomed with cascades of gold, crimson, and sapphire, each explosion painting the rooftops below in fleeting bursts of light.

The distant cheers of the celebrating crowd drifted up, mingling with the sharp cracks and booms overhead. Amethyst's eyes sparkled with the reflections of the show, she leaned slightly against the railing, her voice soft with wonder. ''This is a surprise, your parents didn't tell me about it.''
