Chapter 583 - 25 Apprentice_2

Chapter 583: Chapter 25 Apprentice_2

“Thank you, Martial Uncle Hu, for your generosity. I assure you, Master has no other intentions. He only wishes for me to learn as much from you as I can when I cultivate.”

“Yes, yes, Junior Brother Hu, I have no other intentions either.”

Yao Wudi hastily said.

“Learn from me?”

Hu Zaixi glanced at Wang Ba and Yao Wudi, puzzled. However, being the leader of a Peak, he quickly grasped their intent. Looking at Yao Wudi, he furrowed his brows and asked:

“You want me to teach him the True Yang Wutu Sutra?”

“Correct.”

Yao Wudi said earnestly, “Junior Brother Hu, I know that you uphold justice and impartiality. You would not take out your frustrations on Wang Ba because of what I’ve done before. When I leave for West Sea Country, there will be no one to guide Wang Ba’s cultivation. Among all the junior brothers, I trust you the most…”

Initially, Hu Zaixi appeared displeased. However, hearing Yao Wudi’s words, he straightened up, holding his head high, said:

“Naturally, I wouldn’t take my anger out on my nephew.”

“However…”

Hesitating slightly, Hu Zaixi decided on honesty: @@novelbin@@

“Old Yao, I declined to give you the True Yang Wutu Sutra before for a simple reason. Given your qualifications and the abundant resources the Sect has provided you, you should have ascended to immortality by now. Yet, you remain stuck in the Nascent Soul Realm for all these years… That alone indicates that the Dharma Dao has reached a dead end, at least in this world. So, even if another prodigy like you emerged, what use would they be to the Sect?”

Looking at Wang Ba, he continued earnestly, “Knowing the outcome, why not call it quits from the start?”

Wang Ba fell silent.

He was also unsure about his future path. However, without the worry about a finite lifespan, the Dharma Lineage seemed suitable for him.

Yao Wudi, on the other hand, paused at Hu’s comment, yet replied tranquilly:

“You’re right, Junior Brother Hu. However, Cultivation goes against the natural order of the Universe. Even if it’s not the Dharma Lineage, no one from the Little Cang World has managed to ascend to The Heavens in nearly ten thousand years. Compared to Nascent Soul, Immortal Ascension only means living a few more years.”

“On the contrary, if one could tread this Dao all the way to the Void Refining stage, they might even have a better chance at Cultivation Ascension than regular cultivators.”

Listening to Yao’s words, Hu Zaixi shook his head slightly:

“Our respective Dao are different. We need not debate. If the disciple is firm on his Dao-heart, I can offer some guidance.”

“In that case, I extend my gratitude.”

Yao Wudi immediately broke into a smile.

Wang Ba promptly showed his gratitude as well.

Waving his hand, Hu Zaixi said, “I don’t know if I’m helping or harming you. When you’re ready to cultivate the True Yang Wutu Sutra, come find me.”

“Yes,” Wang Ba answered respectfully.

Shortly thereafter.

Wang Ba returned to Wanfa Peak with Yao Wudi.

The journey was smooth, and they returned just as dusk fell.

However, Yao Wudi soon left again.

Wang Ba did not immediately go to cultivate but headed for the chicken coop he’d made especially for the Spirit Chickens.

To his surprise, he saw that all three eggs laid by Jia 15 and Jia 16 had been successfully hatched.

Three fluffy little chicks, black as night, were pecking rapidly at the chicken feed under Jia 16’s watchful eye.

Just by their appearances, Wang Ba could not tell the difference between the Phantom Chickens and regular chickens.

However, he was able to sense a distinct aura from the Spirit Chickens, one vastly different from the usual Class II top grade Spirit Chickens.

“They’ve actually reached Class III!”

Wang Ba was overjoyed.

He hurried over to the chicks, carefully holding them in his palm.

The chicks were obviously newborns, their feathers still slightly damp.

After some hesitation, he took the three chicks back home.

He then began infusing them with a large amount of his lifespan.

The Spirit Chickens, now at the Golden Core stage, had a higher exchange rate for Wang Ba’s lifespan, but he didn’t mind—in his eyes, lifespan was just a number.

After that, he visited the pool where he reared the Azure Spirit Turtles.

The small pool was crammed full of blue turtles. But the intelligent creatures didn’t like to fight; they stayed peacefully in the water, waiting for Wang Ba and Bu Chan to feed them. After eating, they would breathe in the Spiritual Energy, sun themselves, sleep, and mate.

This was their daily life.

In the sand pit next to the pool, specifically reserved for egg laying and hatching, he discovered many top-grade Class II Spirit Turtles that had just hatched.

After some thought, he provided some of the turtles with additional lifespan, and let them continue rearing in the pool.

For the other Spirit Turtles, he selected the ones with great potential to become breeding males and females. After infusing lifespan, he also took them home.

After some activity, a Sound Transmission Talisman flew over.

Wang Ba read its contents, and without any delay, headed towards Feiyu Peak.

From a distance, he saw the disciple of Feiyu Peak, Gu Wen, and the coldly beautiful woman that had accompanied her before, waiting for him under the moonlight.

“Sister Gu, you must be tired,” Wang Ba greeted her first.

As their seniorities were quite high and he felt awkward charging them such high prices, Wang Ba decided to not bring it up. It was rather convenient not to mention it.

Gu Wen, on the other hand, seemed far more vibrant than the last time he saw her. Her aura was full and strong, bordering on a breakthrough.
